"We stayed for two weeks. It was our second stay in two years.
It offers you a real sense of living on Kauai. Better then a condo or hotel, for sure. It rained every day but two. It a 'nice rain' that doesn't last all day.
Remote location. No close neighbors.
10 minute walk to a virtually empty beach. Drive there. Few places to park, but we had no problem.
Beautiful, quiet grounds.
Cheryl and Mike are very accommodating.
Would be better with a full kitchen
Remote location. Not close to any shopping which is about a 20 minutes car ride. You can only walk to the beach (which ain't bad).
No washer/dryer. Use the sink.
Load up groceries at Safeway on your way from the airport or you'll be driving to Foodland in Princeville everyday. And that gets old fast.
Leave your Hawaiian shirts, shoes, long pants at home. You won't wear any of it. Cook on the outside grill. Because of high prices, we suggest chicken, scrimp, perhaps pork. Stay away from Steaks, processed food, diary products. They are all priced too high. We spent about $300 on food for the 2 of us.
Bring bug spray!
Dining out: Drink your cocktails at home if you don't want to spend $10++ for a drink. My average 'eating out' bill was always $100+ for dinner, and about $50 for lunch (nice places). The St Regis hotel in Princeville will set you back over $200++ for 2 (we had 50% off, so not so bad).
Use the farmer's market in Hanalai."

"Our two families stayed here - 5 kids, 4 adults and the house had the perfect amount of space. We absolutely loved the property and the amazing views of the mountains. The location was good - we were able to walk to the beach, play tennis at the nearby resort, and take advantage of all the wonderful things to do on the North Shore. We so appreciated the beach equipment, chairs, snorkeling gear, towels and mats and outdoor shower. The manager was friendly and informative. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others!"

"This charming property has everything ready for a vacationer to move in! All details, such as: laundry and dish soap, snorkeling gear and beach towels, some food staples, TV and local radio, microwave, toaster oven, grill are all present. Bathrooms more than convenient for even more than 4 guests. Bedrooms in lower level ensure cooler nights. The back lanai is situated adjacent to a wooded area filled with native birds. The ocean is visible, but across the street and down a little bit. This location is versatile for active vacationers, or folks who want to slow down and relax. Nearby shopping, post office, library, restaurants and golf course complete life's necessities!
Hosts are extremely gracious, and encourage communication for any reason.
