  • Perfect Home Base for Family Trip to Kauai

"We loved the location and set-up of this house. It was the perfect home base for our family gathering on the North Shore of Kauai - my family of 5, my brother's family of 4 and our parents. The sleeping options worked well, it was a quiet street, the landscaping made the house feel very private and with the windows open for the wonderful breezes we did not miss A/C. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked in several nights. The extra fridge in the garage was helpful. We made great use of the beach towels and the washer/dryer too. We enjoyed the den and TV/movies and also the back patio and pool table in the pool room. We had two large rental cars, which fit (just barely) in the drive way. The location of the house was great for our short day (or half-day) trips to places like: Hanalei Bay (surfing, boogie boarding, food and shopping), Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach, Sealodge Beach, Secret Beach, Anini Beach, Tunnels Beach, etc. The house was also very convenient to the Food Land grocery store, where we made several trips. The take out pizza from the gas station/convenience store near Food Land was surprisingly good. Also, working out the logistics for the house with Lori was a breeze. We would definitely recommend renting this house."

  • Beautiful Vacation Home with Plenty of Room

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautifully maintained home inside and out. We had 3 couples stay with plenty of room. This home is as advertised and what we expected - beautiful. It was quite warm & humid the week we stayed (10/11/14 - 10/19/14). We had 3 table fans for our previous week rental house that we brought with us and used day and night. Minor maintenance issues: Kitchen cabinet knobs, master bedroom sliding door(s), bar frig out of order. Per a neighbor, no street parking. Parking on lawn OK during daytime, not at night. We parked 3 cars in the driveway at night - 2 side by side and 1 diagonally behind those 2 - with no problem. TV & sound system directions a little confusing - never really sure which button we pushed on remotes to turn on/off TV. We highly recommend this home and would stay again."

  • Princeville Stay

"Great place, great location, super great living. The weather was spectacular, the area was quiet and super conveniently located. The one thing is the noise from the apartments beside and above. Because we were on vacation and no strict sleeping habits, it didn't bother us much.... but it is something to be considered. With the open windows, you will hear all talking from above and beside. Great bed, super fully equipped kitchen, lots of extra beach chairs, body boards, sun screen... great help. We had a wonderful stay, and would come back again in a heart beat!"

  • sweet location

"This is a two-story small house on the property of the main house. It is THE closest house to the famous Hanalei Beach pier. This was perfect for a novice surfer because the best beginner and intermediate waves (October) are immediately to the right of the pier and further out beyond the break.(The other quality waves are far far left on the other side of the bay). I carried my board from the house, through the yard to the beach and right there is the pier. BOOM! Accomodations are nice, clean, stylish, and updated. Their is an a/c unit upstairs in the master which was essential. Internet is hardwired. That's great for laptops there was no WiFi which isn't ideal for smart phone use. But our carrier reception was fine. Noise: ALL of the houses on the single street that run parallel to the beach near the pier have mild road traffic noise from surfers driving to the public beach 2 lots over. However, not once did it disturb us while we were sleeping or trying to sleep. Why? Because most people don't surf at night or early in the morning. During the day? Who cares. We were never home! We were in the water, hiking, boating...anything but staying home inside. Once or twice we took a daytime nap and the wind in the palm fronds or a/c unit pleasantly drowns out most of the road noise. Some nice features are an outdoor hot water shower and spigot near the front door to wash sand off your feet. Sounds simple but not all homes have this and it's realllllllllly nice. Ie, we'd come off the ocean and beach, quickly rinse down, and then hop in our Jeep to grab some lunch or groceries. Town's infrastructure is about a 2 minute drive away. Nice. The owners are very nice and responsive to our needs. The blender (making smoothies) was broken and they replaced it the same day we notified them. Our deposit was promptly refunded. Quality folks."
