  • perfect vacation

"This condo was located in the perfect location in beautiful Princeville. Although the beach is just a short drive away the pool, which is a few steps away, is so beautiful and relaxing. Perfect condo for two couples and a 9 year old, plenty of room and awesome beach gear. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Wonderful!

"We LOVED this house. It was perfect for my family (5 of us) and my in-laws (who stayed in the room downstairs). The location to the beach was SO easy and fun and also provided a beautiful, peaceful view. We rented a kayak, played with the beach toys that were at the house, snorkeled, relaxed on the was amazing. We were able to cook and grill many of our meals, do some necessary laundry, and really just enjoy our vacation at our own pace. We hope to return!"

  • Party of 4 Loved This Condo

"Two couples stayed at this condo in Aug. 2014. We loved this condo, and we think you will too. This condo is oceanfront, high up on the cliff of Princeville. Both bedrooms have big windows that look out to the ocean view. The beds are very comfortable. There are two full bathrooms, one is en suite in the master, the other is directly across the hall from the 2nd bedrooms. Both bedrooms were lovely and there was no real concern about who got the master bedroom. Being on the first floor, the patio blends right into the lawn and you have a very spacious outdoor space to enjoy. The condo was very clean. Reasons to stay here instead of a hotel: * It is VERY well equipped with beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards and a lot of other fun gear. * The kitchen is well-equipped and it is great to be able make meals here. * The view is spectacular. Each morning we sat on the patio and watched the sunrise, and each day we came home from our day of fun and returned to the patio for happy hour and sunset and more than one rainbow. * The condo includes a washer/dryer in the kitchen, so we could pack light. * The owners have provided a wealth of information and suggestions about what is fun to do in the area. The owners were very easy to work with. They maintain a Facebook page for this condo that you can like in advance of your visit to get lots of good suggestions about things to do and visit on your trip. We had a lovely dinner at the Dolphin one night, and we enjoyed going into Hanalei for coffee one morning and enjoying it on the pier, followed by a morning swim in the bay. We hiked the Kalalau Trail and enjoyed swimming and snorkeling at Ke'e Beach afterwards. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby Stone Dam. Note that you have to walk down a flight of stairs to get to this condo from parking lot. Enjoy your visit to Kauai!"

  • A slice of a bit of ****

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The slice of heaven: the quiet, private, remote location, a well maintained tastefully furnished home, the large deck with a peek at the ocean (ended up being our living space), the walk to the beach, not having to rent beach chairs and boogie boards, a nice gas BBQ, waking up to roosters and doves....actually, almost everything about Haena Place. The photos really don't do it justice. The bit of ****: the high temperatures and lack of trade winds during our stay, which made it difficult to cool the house down, even with all those ceiling and other fans. It was the one factor that made our stay a little less than perfect. But next time, we'll know to visit earlier in the summer."

North Shore Travel Tips

Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals Offer Beautiful Scenery and Plenty of Opportunity

Whenever the subject of visiting Hawaii arises, you’re sure to hear of the amazing North Shore of Kauai. Kauai North Shore vacation rentals give you breathtaking views, access to local historical villages, and plenty to see and do during your stay here.

Spectacular Scenery near Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals

Among the renowned natural surroundings on Kauai’s North Shore is the Na Pali Coast. Cliffs along this coast tower 4,000 above sea level and provide great photo opportunities.

When staying in Kauai condos, you may be lucky enough to find a spot along Lumahai Beach, known for the many movies filmed there and beautiful sands many only dream of. The historical settlement of Hanalei is also found in this area, most often a short drive from many Kauai lodging options.

Stay in Kauai Condos and Experience the Na Pali Coast

Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are located on the Na Pali coast, which can provide perfect scenery for both a destination beach wedding and a memorable honeymoon. Movie fans love to visit the Honopu Valley, where parts of the famous “King Kong” were filmed. Afterward, you can curl up on the couch in your choice of Kauai condos to watch the original 1976 blockbuster. For a taste of true hula dancing, book your Kauai lodging near Ke ahu a laka Heiau: the site of a famous hula school where many dancers still come to practice their craft.

Step Back in Time at Kauai Lodging in Hanalei

Anyone visiting the original settlement area of Hanalei feels as if they’ve taken a trip back in time. Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are found in or near the area, giving you easy access to the surrounding sights and activities available.

You may venture from the Kauai condos to tour one of the wet or dry caves in Hanalei, or even simply visit local shops to find your needed souvenirs. Kauai lodging also gives easy access to Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Makana Peak, Kee Beach and Waioli Mission House.
