  • Views That Are Spectacular!

"We spent three weeks at #16 from late July into August, and absolutely loved it. The view from the lanai is amazing. The day after Hurricane Iselle came blowing by, the mountains were just teeming with waterfalls. The house was nice and clean. Short walk to the St. Regis Hotel's beach, and Hideaways was right across the street. The only downside was that we had some noisy neighbors during our last week. If/when we return to Kauai, we will look to rent this property again."

  • What a lovely stay!

"My sister and I spent 4 nights staying here at Kim and Doug's place. As we had stayed at VRBO places on each of the islands during our Hawaii trip, this rental was by far the most comfortable and most equipped. It was easy to check in and out, and we both slept really well in each of the bedrooms. The Sandersons have set up the unit so it feels as if you are guests in someone's very loved home. There are 2 baskets of DVD's, closets full of stuff to use for day trips to the beach, and any kitchen utensil/equipment you could imagine you might need for cooking up a feast. We really appreciated the attention to detail. Parking is literally 15 steps away from the front door so it was easy to load/unload luggage. I needed to contact Kim at one point during our stay and she responded promptly, which is helpful in a host. My sister and I also appreciated the late checkout on the day of our departure...our only regret is our stay was much too short. We hope to come back again soon! Thank you again!"

  • A great week in Hanalei

"Just got back a week or so ago, and I thought I'd add my impressions. We had a great stay at Lieina's House. We knew the area, as we've stayed in a nearby house before. The house itself is really nice, perfectly clean, well equipped with beach towels, chairs, boogie-boards, washer/dryer, kitchen stuff, everything we could have needed. All three bedrooms have windows to both ends of the house, so they have excellent ventilation. Combined with the ceiling fans, we didn't miss having AC. Each bedroom has its own bath, a great convenience for 3 adult couples. The deck on the upper level, which is the primary living area, has great view of the mountains, only a couple of trees in the way of watching the waterfalls. As we knew before, its only a 5-minute walk to the beach, or to the shops and restaurants in Hanalei. The owner was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. The final positive was the return of our security deposit, the check came within a week of our return. This is not just an excellent house "for the price", its an excellent house!"

  • We had a great time at this place!

"Matches the description on the web site. Easy communications with the owner. We really had a great time at this place. The house was very clean when we arrived. We enjoyed having our coffee on the upstairs lanai every morning while listening to the birds singing and admiring the beautiful view over the mountains. The kitchen is well appointed, everything is there to cook a perfect meal. The garden around the house has a lot of fruit trees : oranges, star fruits, avocados, bananas. Very exotic. The outdoor shower is a must try. The house can get a bit hot during the day, but cools at night. Anyway, there are enough ventilators to keep the air flowing. The neighborhood is quiet, no barking dogs. We would highly recommend and we would stay there again if we ever go back to Princeville."
