  • Please adopt us, Susie, we want to come back home.

"Our wonderful adventure took place the end of July, 2014. Four of us ladies, little girls at heart, discovered this sanctuary and so began the best vacation ever! With a little planning, we kept groceries sufficient in our sand castle for the amount of cooking we were willing to do. We ended up eating out only a few times, saving money for our treasures and keepsakes. The nearby gardens were lovely, the beaches were clean and beautiful, the flora was luscious. The outside shower should NOT be overlooked! In the heat of the day, the back of the house was quite warm; the downstairs shower was a luxury! Our beds were so comfortable we slept long and well. The morning and evening breezes prompted long and happy visits...the television soon stayed completely off. Views from the lanai inspired an artistic revival and watercolors soon flowed like the waves on the shore. We enjoyed the beach here and some days did not venture from this location. Oh, to hear the constant rhythm of the surf and the gentle percussion of the rain lulling us to sleep and calling to us again each new day! Thank you, Susie, for allowing us this visit with you."

  • Relaxing Paradise by the Sea

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale Hina is a beautiful and comfortable home to enjoy your vacation and to have quick access to the beach. Just know that the home gets very warm in the afternoon thru the evening, especially if you are cooking. The fans help. But there isn't enough cross breeze in the guest rooms or the family room and kitchen. Would be nice if the big picture windows opened to allow more breeze. So my tip is to plan on going out more during the evenings and to cook downstairs on the BBQ in the gorgeous living area under the house."

  • GREAT Value

"We just returned from our 4th stay in these units at Hanalei Bay Resort and cannot recommend them highly enough. The resort has the most gorgeous pool, with a 2nd pool as well. The hot tub, water falls, stonework are wonderful. The resort now has an exercise room, business center, and extremely helpful concierge service. (If you're staying long enough....I'd recommend going to the orientation by them. I've twice won raffles that included kayaking and a marine snorkeling trip.) The lobby of the resort is brand new and there will soon be a restaurant and bar. The units themselves have gorgeous views and have everything you need to be comfortable. We tended to be out most of the day but always returned to catch the sunsets on the overlook that has a firepit...huge sectional and other seating. For the price, you cannot beat this value. The resort is one of the older ones and has beautiful and mature landscaping. The beach is shared with the St Regis Resort (think The Descendents). The owner is so easy to work with and wants you to come back. We always will! Aloha!"

  • Kolohala Studio in January

"Beautiful place with lots of beach nearby, easy walk for snorkeling, swimming, boogie board, and experienced surfers. In winter, always check surf and tide reports on North Shore. Anini is a short drive for an all-day snorkel trip. Walk to Haena State Beach along the ocean. Amenities are perfect for the location. Very comfortable, amazing view of the mountains from any spot in the studio. Particularly sweet when clouds moving in and out at night. Lots of good fresh food nearby -- multiple growers markets (Waipa and Hanalei) and fish market in Hanalei -- made our own food almost all of the time. Plenty of outside areas at the studio. Beautiful bath with plenty of shelf space for storing clothes after unpacking (2.5 week stay). Also, nice outside shower. Surfing lesson at Hanalei Bay -- go to the pier and talk to Alekai. He's in the van or sitting outside the van with all the surfboards. He set me up with a 1:1 lesson with Evan Valiere and I'm a beginner. That was our 4th trip to Kauai and we've stayed in a different part of the island each time. North Shore is my favorite. Lots of nearby hiking either Na Pali or trailheads closer to Hanalei."

North Shore Travel Tips

Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals Offer Beautiful Scenery and Plenty of Opportunity

Whenever the subject of visiting Hawaii arises, you’re sure to hear of the amazing North Shore of Kauai. Kauai North Shore vacation rentals give you breathtaking views, access to local historical villages, and plenty to see and do during your stay here.

Spectacular Scenery near Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals

Among the renowned natural surroundings on Kauai’s North Shore is the Na Pali Coast. Cliffs along this coast tower 4,000 above sea level and provide great photo opportunities.

When staying in Kauai condos, you may be lucky enough to find a spot along Lumahai Beach, known for the many movies filmed there and beautiful sands many only dream of. The historical settlement of Hanalei is also found in this area, most often a short drive from many Kauai lodging options.

Stay in Kauai Condos and Experience the Na Pali Coast

Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are located on the Na Pali coast, which can provide perfect scenery for both a destination beach wedding and a memorable honeymoon. Movie fans love to visit the Honopu Valley, where parts of the famous “King Kong” were filmed. Afterward, you can curl up on the couch in your choice of Kauai condos to watch the original 1976 blockbuster. For a taste of true hula dancing, book your Kauai lodging near Ke ahu a laka Heiau: the site of a famous hula school where many dancers still come to practice their craft.

Step Back in Time at Kauai Lodging in Hanalei

Anyone visiting the original settlement area of Hanalei feels as if they’ve taken a trip back in time. Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are found in or near the area, giving you easy access to the surrounding sights and activities available.

You may venture from the Kauai condos to tour one of the wet or dry caves in Hanalei, or even simply visit local shops to find your needed souvenirs. Kauai lodging also gives easy access to Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Makana Peak, Kee Beach and Waioli Mission House.
