  • Beautiful view from lanai, great location

"Stayed here in July 2013 with sisters; 5 of us total (age 50-65). This is an upstairs unit, which meant stairs but worth it for the view off the lanai. The lanai and unit were next to the main road but not much traffic noise. The condo was clean, comfortable and laid out well. The master bedroom has a king bed and is spacious with a hugh bathroom/dressing area. There are two more standard bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. All the beds were extremely comfortable. There are also two more bathrooms. All three bathrooms are tub/shower combos. There was plenty of space for all us girls. The kitchen flows into the small dining area, and living room. The kitchen is narrow, but we only used for making breakfast which we ate on the spacious lanai. We had bird visitors each morning. The lanai is accessed by 3 sliding doors from the master bedroom, dining area, or living room. The condo and 1-car garage are well stocked with bath towels, beach towels, cooler for packing water and a picnic lunch, and beach items like folding chairs, boogie board, noodles. There is a washer and dryer in the condo. The A/C is vented into the master bedroom and living area only. But there are lots of windows to open for the trade winds. The location is in the middle of Princeville, 1 mile the shopping complex which include a well stocked Foodland and a few shops and restaurants; and 1 mile from the St. Regis. There is free internet/Wi-Fi. The TV/DVD system was a bit of a challenge as had 3 remotes for accessing. The condo had several CDs, DVDs, and guidebooks. Ke'e Beach was our favorite beach. We splurged one night at the St. Regis on cocktails and appetizers at the outside bar while we watched the sun set. The hike to the Queen's Bath was challenging for us oldsters but worth it; views and 2 small waterfalls. Bring your camera. When you exit the trail there is an inlet frequented by sea turtles. The "bath" is to your left over the lava rock. Go only at low tide, calm weather. Wear tennis shoes and your bathing suit under your shorts. Bring your water shoes. You'll want to swim in the "bath". If you're lucky you'll be the only ones there. Best guide book: The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook, Kauai Revealed"."

  • a perfect house in Princeville

"We spent 10 days at this ideal house. It is exactly how it appears on the pictures, even better. The bedrooms are bright and airy, the beds comfortable, the bathroom/toilets complex is cleverly designed, giving privacy and making good use of the space, the outside shower adding to the options. The common space is pleasant, spacious, especially with the adjacent lanai. The kitchen has lots of cooking tools. Bring your own spices. Overall the whole place is decorated with care and taste. The 2 yards give you a chance to catch the sun or the shade at any time of day. The DVD collection is impressive. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and friendly. Food shopping is next door. Good snorkeling, beautiful beaches within easy reach. Thank you for sharing such a gem."

  • The perfect beachfront property!

"Our family of four has enjoyed a "destination Xmas" at the Pine Trees Villa two years in a row. The house is spacious, tastefully decorated and has everything you need......and the location is absolutely perfect. The deck off of the kitchen is definitely a gathering spot for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. You can never get enough of the beautiful ocean view. I love waking to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We rented surfboards for the week and our 20 yr old son and 23 yr old daughter surfed daily right outside the gate. We also rented bikes for the week and rode them into to town for shopping, the Saturday Farmers Market and dining on several occasions. We BBQ'd a few times, had a wonderful Xmas brunch and family massages at the St. Regis Resort, took a helicopter tour of the island, several hikes and a kayak adventure/hike to the secret falls. We've already referred friends to the Villa and hope to return again soon!"

North Shore Travel Tips

Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals Offer Beautiful Scenery and Plenty of Opportunity

Whenever the subject of visiting Hawaii arises, you’re sure to hear of the amazing North Shore of Kauai. Kauai North Shore vacation rentals give you breathtaking views, access to local historical villages, and plenty to see and do during your stay here.

Spectacular Scenery near Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals

Among the renowned natural surroundings on Kauai’s North Shore is the Na Pali Coast. Cliffs along this coast tower 4,000 above sea level and provide great photo opportunities.

When staying in Kauai condos, you may be lucky enough to find a spot along Lumahai Beach, known for the many movies filmed there and beautiful sands many only dream of. The historical settlement of Hanalei is also found in this area, most often a short drive from many Kauai lodging options.

Stay in Kauai Condos and Experience the Na Pali Coast

Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are located on the Na Pali coast, which can provide perfect scenery for both a destination beach wedding and a memorable honeymoon. Movie fans love to visit the Honopu Valley, where parts of the famous “King Kong” were filmed. Afterward, you can curl up on the couch in your choice of Kauai condos to watch the original 1976 blockbuster. For a taste of true hula dancing, book your Kauai lodging near Ke ahu a laka Heiau: the site of a famous hula school where many dancers still come to practice their craft.

Step Back in Time at Kauai Lodging in Hanalei

Anyone visiting the original settlement area of Hanalei feels as if they’ve taken a trip back in time. Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are found in or near the area, giving you easy access to the surrounding sights and activities available.

You may venture from the Kauai condos to tour one of the wet or dry caves in Hanalei, or even simply visit local shops to find your needed souvenirs. Kauai lodging also gives easy access to Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Makana Peak, Kee Beach and Waioli Mission House.
