  • Perfect!

"Our family loved Kauai and this home. My husband who loves to cook, was very happy with every part of the kitchen. The lanai was beautiful; breeze, view and comfort. Our children and my mother stayed upstairs and we had the downstairs which was almost like a private getaway in itself! The bikes and boards were awesome. We were able to get some good surf at a time when there usually isn't too much and the boards were great! We surf in northern California and to surf in warm waters and perfect little waves was an extra treat! Everything is so close too, we walked to town for shopping, shave ice and some Bubba Burgers. Sunsets are perfect for grabbing that Mai Tai and walking around the corner to enjoy it all. I could go on, but I really just wanted to say thank you for adding to our "perfect" vacation! Hope to come back soon!!"

  • WOW

"This was the most fabulous, amazing, memorable, and perfect vacation we have ever had. The location of the penthouse couldn't be better. We were only a few minutes from Hanalei where there are plenty of dining options to choose from if you don't feel like cooking. If you do end up cooking in the condo, your options are endless. Every kitchen utensil you could dream of could be found in one of the drawers or cabinets. Even if you decide to make a few cocktails at home, there is an ice machine on the refrigerator door, and not to mention, a Margaritaville frozen drink blender on the counter (some restaurants don't even have one!). The view from BOTH (yes there are two!) lanais are out of this world. When you are watching the beautiful sunset from either one, if you look down, you can see people standing on the grass below trying to get as good of a view that you have. If sunsets aren't for you, perhaps you would like watching the sea turtles or surfers in the ocean with one of two binoculars or a telescope. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, as are both bathrooms. Who doesn't like a whirlpool tub or a giant shower with more than four shower heads? Talk about a vacation! You would spend a lot more money per night if you rented from a five star resort, most of which don't have a full kitchen or ocean view such as the 412 Penthouse. There are so many perks listed in the description of this rental, and every single one of them is accurate. The pictures don't do it justice; the Penthouse is straight out of a magazine. But what really made this the most wonderful experience we have ever had...are the owners, Dick and Eleanor. I have never rented from this caliber of people, and I'm sure I will never meet anyone as special as they are. The entire rental, from check-in to check-out to returning our deposit, was seamless. The organization and planning that they put into your experience at the 412 Penthouse is out of this world. It never felt like we were renting a condo for five days - it felt like we were staying in someone's home, always feeling their hospitality, generosity, and kindness with each waking moment, and knowing we were privileged guests to have the opportunity to spend our honeymoon on Kauai in their Penthouse. Dick and Eleanor made this vacation perfect for us. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in Penthouse 412, and cannot thank them enough. Dick and Eleanor, you are amazing people!!! xoxo"

  • Wonderful Visit!

"We stayed at this condo for 3 nights in June. It was great! We wished we had stayed longer. The condo itself was lovely - the furniture was in great shape. The king bed was super comfortable, and my kids thought the two twins were just fine. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean. The view from the patio is lovely. It was nice to sit out there and relax when we had returned from the beaches. The reservation process was easy. Tarek was very responsive to my email questions, and everything went without a problem. We even got to have late checkout since we were catching the 10:00 pm flight home. Thank you again for that, Tarek! We went down to the beach below the condo (Hideaways) on the day we got there. The steps are a little steep, but we managed. We saw others managing in flip flops, so it's really not that bad! This might have been the best snorkeling spot we saw - or second to Tunnels/Haena - we got right in the water and saw a ton of fish - even a couple of sharks (small - not scary). We didn't get a chance to go there again, and wish we had. There's always next time! Our kids also enjoyed splashing around there in the shallow, sandy part. Restaurants we liked - Kilauea Fish Market and the pizza from the gas station in the Princeville Center (near Foodland). We brought the pizza back to the condo and ate on the patio. Very easy, and tasty too! We also got take out tacos from Tropical Taco. The prices for food (grocery and restaurant) were more than at home, but I didn't find them excessive, particularly given the location! On our drive up to the North Shore, we also ate at a food truck in Kapaa that was one of the best meals we had the whole trip - Tacos al Pastor. Fabulous fish and shrimp tacos and burritos. Wow. All in all a wonderful visit! We hope to return in the not too distant future!!"

  • Hanalei Heaven!

"We stayed here 9 days & loved every day of it. It's close to town & the beach- walking distance to both! Kitchen was perfect. We travel to Kauai every couple of years but always stayed in Kapa'a. I usually find pictures of condos rarely resemble where you stay. Not so here! Exactly like the pictures- actually better if that's possible! I liked parking off the street & closing the gate- very private. This is the perfect getaway if you plan on staying at the condo alot. We had plans to drive places but found ourselves happy to just hang around & do.......nothing!! My favorite pastime was walking to Tahiti Nui's for drinks & pizza & then having leftover 'Nui pizza for breakfast the next morning. Oh yea! Most relaxing trip I've had in years."

North Shore Travel Tips

Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals Offer Beautiful Scenery and Plenty of Opportunity

Whenever the subject of visiting Hawaii arises, you’re sure to hear of the amazing North Shore of Kauai. Kauai North Shore vacation rentals give you breathtaking views, access to local historical villages, and plenty to see and do during your stay here.

Spectacular Scenery near Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals

Among the renowned natural surroundings on Kauai’s North Shore is the Na Pali Coast. Cliffs along this coast tower 4,000 above sea level and provide great photo opportunities.

When staying in Kauai condos, you may be lucky enough to find a spot along Lumahai Beach, known for the many movies filmed there and beautiful sands many only dream of. The historical settlement of Hanalei is also found in this area, most often a short drive from many Kauai lodging options.

Stay in Kauai Condos and Experience the Na Pali Coast

Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are located on the Na Pali coast, which can provide perfect scenery for both a destination beach wedding and a memorable honeymoon. Movie fans love to visit the Honopu Valley, where parts of the famous “King Kong” were filmed. Afterward, you can curl up on the couch in your choice of Kauai condos to watch the original 1976 blockbuster. For a taste of true hula dancing, book your Kauai lodging near Ke ahu a laka Heiau: the site of a famous hula school where many dancers still come to practice their craft.

Step Back in Time at Kauai Lodging in Hanalei

Anyone visiting the original settlement area of Hanalei feels as if they’ve taken a trip back in time. Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are found in or near the area, giving you easy access to the surrounding sights and activities available.

You may venture from the Kauai condos to tour one of the wet or dry caves in Hanalei, or even simply visit local shops to find your needed souvenirs. Kauai lodging also gives easy access to Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Makana Peak, Kee Beach and Waioli Mission House.
