  • Amazing time in Hanalei at this beautiful house!

"My wife has been coming to Hanalei since she was a little girl and this was our fifth time coming to Kauai together. We've always wanted to rent something in Hanalei and finally we were able to get a group of friends together and found the perfect house. Paulele Beach house had everything we could possibly ask for. It fit our group perfectly and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The layout of the house was incredible, we had so much space to hang out inside and out. All the bedrooms were nicely separated, especially the two "masters" in the back, so you felt like you had your own little bedroom cottage. There was plenty of beach chairs & equipment (snorkeling, boogie boards, etc) for all of us. The location could not have been better either. Quick and easy access to Hanalei bay (2 minute walk) and town (5 minutes). We often went to the Dolphin fish market to get some fish to grill for dinner and spent our evenings relaxing on the huge lanai that wraps around the entire house. We truly had such an amazing trip and would love to stay here again. Thank You!"

  • LOVED this place!

"Nihilani is an excellent condo development and relatively new from what we heard prior to our trip. The condo is immaculate and upgraded with all the comforts of home and even more comforts than my husband and I have in our own home! Updated appliances, A/C, towels provided, laundry in the unit, tv with cable, ceiling fans, dishwasher, and a garage filled with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas and other beach equipment. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had not stayed at the St. Regis for so long! The pool was under construction when we stayed at the condo but we were forewarned about that and it really did not effect our trip in the least as the condo is centrally located to all beaches and other activities. The hot tub at Nihilani was open and we used that if we wanted to take a dip and there are grills to use. The pool looked fantastic from what we saw. The location is in the major hub of Princeville close to the Princeville Shopping Center which has everything you need - shops, food store, coffee/breakfast places, gas station, post office. We would run to the Shopping Center in the morning and get a shave ice at one of the stands and then run back to the condo! Overall a great location and condo and Paul + Barb are great hosts! We would book this condo again in a heartbeat. Perhaps for a 2nd honeymoon in a few years!!"

  • Wow

"This property exceeded our expectations... a truly remarkable home and site. The views from the sweeping living/dining/family room windows are breathtaking. Relaxing on the deck looking out at the limitless seacoast vista was remarkable.... makes me wistful just writing about it. Wish I was back there now. The home itself was impeccable. Beautifully maintained, decorated, and equipped. We shared the home among three adult couples, which worked very well. Each couple had a bedroom with a great view and their own bathroom, but we spent most of our time together on the deck or family room. We enjoyed grilling fresh fish on the gas grille and eating together in the nicely appointed formal dining room. We spent our days touring the unspoiled north coast of Kauai. Access to shopping was easy (by car) since a nice shopping center sits at the entryway to Princeville just 5 min drive from the house. I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and I'm grateful to the owner for making such a remarkable home available for rent. PS: We happened to be visiting at a time when the albatrosses were returning to mate (November). They use this property as a meeting and launch point. The next door neighbor published a photo documentary book about them, and he spent time with us discussing his favorite subjects. This added a notable and exotic flair to our stay."

  • Perfect Honeymoon Hideaway!

"Highly recommend this gorgeous piece of paradise as a perfect honeymoon spot. Located a short drive away from beautiful beaches, restaurants and sights, it was nice to have our own cottage to return home to at the end of a busy day. For two people, this place is huge! We loved the high class furnishings and fixtures and spent way too much time in the awesome steamer shower. Simply put, Makale'a Palms is stunning, top to bottom, inside and out. Feels like your own private piece of tropical rainforest. My new husband and I especially loved standing in the middle of the palm tress, staring up at the stars.... We were greeted by a lovely card, flowers and welcome basket. Service and communication with Doreen from the first point of contact to our departure was superb! ONLY drawback is that we both got eaten alive by mosquitos while we were sleeping, so bring plenty of bug spray. =)"
