"Having been to Kauai many times, this is my favorite place to stay. Tucked away surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers it feels like a home away from home. Clean & comfortable! Well thought out & stocked with beach chairs, beach towels etc. Just a short drive from Poipu we spent many sunny February days laying out at the Sheraton and Shipwrecks beaches. Every morning my husband made us breakfast that we would enjoy on the lanai, with fresh squeezed OJ from the many fruit stands we found along the way to the cottage. Showering in the bamboo outdoor shower everyday is something I truly miss! I am already counting the days until we can return to this lovely cottage, my home away from home! Bamboo for Two hosts Susan & Steven were great. Available for recommendations on activities & places to eat still giving us our privacy. We even spent an evening watching whales from their lanai enjoying a glass of wine together. We had many fantastic meals just minutes away at the Kalaheo Cafe, one of my favorite spots to eat on the island! This was a lovely relaxing vacation I will not forget, Mahalo!"

"We stayed at this lovely home in Kalaheo, Kauai. The house is very clean, equipped with lots of kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies. It was so nice to be able to cook our own food and we had our dinner out on the patio every night. We also really liked that this place was equipped with a vacuum cleaner where we could clean off any remaining sand that might have gotten into the house. When coming back to this place from the beach, hikes, etc., we felt as if we were coming back home. Being able to park in the driveway was great too, as often we had lots of stuff to carry from the car. The most memorable thing during my stay at this place was at night, you could see all the stars on a clear night because it was such a quiet neighbourhood and away from all the busy street lights. I would definitely stay at this place again and would highly recommend renting this place. They even give you a lovely welcoming gift basket on arrival! Thank you so much for letting us stay, we hope to be back again in the future. Mahalo."

LOVED, LOVED OUR MONTH HERE - NEXT YEAR WE ARE STAYING EVEN LONGER!
"I am going to get straight to the point! WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVED THE MONTH WE SPENT AT HALE O’ANI THIS YEAR! And we are coming again in 2016 – this time for ten weeks!
After several years of staying in condos on the beach in Poipu, my husband and I decided to explore more of Kauai’s vacation properties. Fortunately, we were still on the island when we found the listing for the above property and were able to see it in person. We loved the serenity of the location and the beautiful attention to detail of the décor. We rented it on the spot for the entire month of January, 2015. It did not disappoint. It is a wonderful retreat. The furnishings are unique, the floors spectacular, and the place immaculate. The bedding is first class, with wonderful pillows (better than I have at home).
I love to cook and consequently we ate out infrequently during the month. I found the kitchen to be well equipped with a blender, food processor, crock pot, all the typical utensils, and a gas stove, which was a bonus. The glassware and dishes are much nicer than I’ve ever had in a condo property. There is also a Weber grill with all appropriate tools. And Tommy Bahama beach chairs, plus an umbrella for days at the beach. The hot tub and outside shower were great treats, and we enjoyed the seclusion and privacy that the stucco wall with palms and blooming flowers provided (think “romantic tropical” house). There are plenty of birds singing and typical creatures that you’d expect to see in a tropical climate.
Faye and Bob were highly attentive, but not intrusive. Because we were staying for a month we made a few requests that were fulfilled immediately. While we don’t want to wish our lives away, I can’t wait to get back to this wonderful spot which seems to be a great balance of beauty and functionality; and that suits us perfectly."

"I stayed here for one week and really enjoyed the cottages. They are located on a hill with other homes in the distance, but it feels quite rural. The decor was much classier than other VRBO's I've stayed in here in the islands. They have paid a lot of attention to details. The suite was immaculate with very nice beds, bedding and towels. Even the smaller suite is good size with a large bathroom and walk in shower. Large deck with nice patio furniture. The back side of the suites and deck are high above the ground at mid tree level so it feels a little like being in a tree house and is very private. The host, Lynn was very nice and helpful in recommending restaurants etc. There are several good restaurants 5 min away. I would recommend arriving in daylight if you can because it will make the turn in from the road easier to negotiate. The island in general is populated with lots of wild chickens and roosters so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as the roosters make quite a racket, even at night!
I would highly recommend these cottages to visitors to Kauai!"
