Perfect Romantic Getaway
"Loved staying in this condo! It was perfect! Easy to get to, and a perfect location. We had been told that one of the best restaurants on the island is the Beach House, known for their magnificent sunsets on the ocean. It was a wonderful surprise and bonus to find that this restaurant was just a few steps away from our lanai! We ordered food for take out one night and had dinner there another. Wonderful! Enjoyed the breathtaking views from our condo; so fun to watch the surfers and sea turtles! I enjoy snorkeling and it was as good here as anywhere else on the island! Karen was so easy to work with, and their condo is exactly as you see on photos! Would definitely stay here again!"

"A superb Penthouse suite with spectacular views of the ocean. Well equipped 2bed, one bath with the most comfortable beds going. Although the apartment has no air conditioning, it's not needed as we closed all the blinds as we left for the day and then opened all the doors and windows for the cross breeze at night when we returned...what more could you ask for?...OK, Ocean waves breaking on the shore....that's just over the road.
Yes there is a small road below on a 15mph speed limit (which almost everyone complied with), yet at night there is no traffic of any great number and we were never disturbed by noisy vehicles.
There are several 'Farmers markets' in the area that are a must visit along with good gourmet foods at "Living Foods' just at the roundabout on the way in to Poipo.
The Plantation House is a stand out restaurant. Great atmosphere, good live music but unfortunately once away from there the other restaurants leave something to be desired. We were struck that other places were generic and you could be sitting in any city, any town, more of the Americanized 'get you in, serve it up and get you out' and although the food was good...it wasn't stand out, so no other recommendations guys...you're on your own.
Driving. With only one main road, speed limits pegged at 50, slow traffic is common so allow plenty of travel time...roll the windows down, turn off the air-conditioning and enjoy the great Hawaiian air.
Oceans. There's a small beach to the west...ideal for snorkeling (although we felt that the fish were hand fed as they were right in our face) otherwise...get moving and check out plenty of others (But watch for rip tides)
The Botanical Gardens are a must visit. Well worth having the guided tour as the history is important.
Best Island. Best apartment. Best Holiday"

"My wife and I truly enjoyed the property. Betty & Bart do a great job communicating and delivering on everything promised. Responses/Communication and instructions are prompt. There are no details left to guessing. The property is clean and literally right on the water. Kitchen is well appointed. They also include little extra's that are great - beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, suntan lotion. We enjoyed most mornings and evenings on our balcony watching the surfers (and dolphins). The pictures are exactly like the property. We will be returning to the condo the next time we visit Kauai. I highly recommend this property."

"The location was ideal - basically right on the ocean, maybe 5-10 steps of lawn between the porch and the sea wall. It was nice looking out any time - sunrise, afternoon, evening, even nighttime with the full moon, sitting on the chairs, listening to the waves crash against the rocks, and seeing the occasional sea turtles or little crabs. Additionally, it was fairly close to several south-side beaches (there was a small one a short walk away, but better ones for our kids a short mile or two drive away). The unit was clean, well-decorated, and well-appointed, with all the pans/utensils we needed to cook a few dinners, and with some helpful gear in the closet. The owners also sent us some helpful notes on the weather, had a long helpful writeup about the unit/area, and seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure guests had a good time during their stay."
