  • Wedding Party Nov 2014

"My daughter was married on Shipwreck Beach. The parents of the bride and groom plus the siblings shared this home. The home was convenient to the beaches, hotels, and shopping. We have never seen a better equipped home. We used all of the beach equipment available as well as the bikes. We had no time for movies or games but there were plenty to choose from. The kitchen was fantastic - ate most of our meals there. Jim and Juliana were most helpful in all of our planning and delightful folks."

  • Perfect for those wanting a one level home in the heart of sunny Poipu!

"We had a month of great days and nights at this home. The layout is simple and easy to navigate. Anyone with the need for a one level property is lucky to fnd this home. The pool is nice with a running waterfall. We found two frogs in the pool, one made it out, the other....well.....lets just say the pool service and landscapers routinely took good care of the home. Room for entertaining many in the lanai, with a gas bbq that fires up slow, but one hot, grills your favorite fish from the local market, try the Koloa Fish Market. So close to everything, easy to not waste time driving places when you can walk instead. The driveway is steep, but lifts you up from the road below, so the lanai can be your favorite place to have privacy, even mid day. Gigantic, I mean HUGE snails often travel in teams across the front lawn after roughly 9pm onward. (Wear your flip flops at night in the grass.) Lizards and gems can been seen through the outdoor spaces, especially around the bird of paradise at the driveway near the front door. The front room is prestige with white and off white decor, must be sure to take special care to protect these surfaces from typical vacation exposure. The bedrooms are perfectly finished in island style. The garage has boogie boards, a few snorkel items, Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, an umbrella (take it with you to the beach, even if you don't think you'll need it:-). Owners were very responsive and were easy to work with from reservation through checkout. Although located in the heart of the south shore resorts, it is a home within the edge of a neighborhood. Being aware of that makes you keenly aware of your own noise levels, recycling properly, etc. I'd recommend this home for your next Poipu vacation."

  • Fabulous house & location!

"We stayed for a week with our 2 grown children, their spouses and our 2 small grandsons. The house was perfect! Lots of great amenities - although we really just enjoyed the beach (which is right across the street!) Everything is exactly as pictured or better. The bedrooms are spacious and each has its own spacious bath. Plenty of room to be together or have a little privacy when you need it. The kitchen is well-stocked. Great bbq on the deck, all the beach toys & towels. Everything you need for a great beach vacation. Perfect for families or 3 adult couples. Kelly is great to work with and super responsive. I would highly recommend this house!"

  • Big group, lots of fun

"We were a party of 10, 6 adults and 4 kids and the house worked great. The owner was nice enough to supply us with 2 portable cribs that fit well in the 2 master bedrooms and two of the twin beds were tethered to make a king in the other room. The location of the house was easy to get to and the accommodations were nice. With four kids, however, we did end up driving, instead of walking, to the beach most of the time; with the amount of stuff we packed to and from it was easier then walking. The house came stocked with several beach toys, chairs, umbrella, and other accessories which came in very handy. The constant breeze kept the house a good temperature, it would get a little warm in the afternoon but nothing a cold drink wouldn't cure. The patio area was great for the kids to be "outside" but still contained. The BBQ was a great addition which we used several times. I highly recommend the Torch Lighting at the Hyatt. I have been to 3 different Luau's and the entertainment at this free event was just as good as the $70 events. Be sure to get there early if you want a place to sit. And I would recommend splurging on the $15 mai tai's, we had some sticker shock but then ended up with seconds, they were very tasty. A couple of cons: the house could be located closer to the pool/beach. This wouldn't have been a problem if the kids were older but being 1 and 4 it was a little far to walk while carrying everything. Also the beach within walking distance was not the best for young children and with the higher winds we had while there the water was pretty rough. The bathrooms in the master bedrooms need a little updating, the shower heads were small and did not have the best water pressure. Overall, for the price, we could not have asked for a better place. The owners were great and willing to help with any request."
