"Our "family" included 5 adults aged 53-80. One of us had some mobility issues with walking, but the house worked well. Only a few stairs up to the house that he was able to navigate. Nice large bathrooms and easy access to the large shower. Very comfortable beds. The ground were beautiful and cooking our own dinners on the BBQ and eating on the large lanai was so enjoyable. The kitchens were large with everything we needed for cooking and dining. Being close to the beach made it so easy to come and go as many times as we wanted in a day. We loved the quiet and relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful areas to walk. The internet access was fast and for a couple of us who had to do some work, it allowed us to do that efficiently. The only issue we had was with Verizon - cell phones did not work well, we had a lot of dropped calls. But honestly, that turned out to be a blessing, we worked less than we planned which was why we took a vacation! There were beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use and umbrellas. We loved our 2-week stay, plan to go back!"

"Hale Amakai is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a more local chill experience on Kauai. The house has the feel of what think living on Kauai would be like, easy going and simple in a way that really lets you relax. The house has everything you need and the deck and back yard are a great place to hangout. The grapefruit were in while we were there and made for a great fresh breakfast. Easy walk to the beach and just a few minutes from some great restaurants. We were able to explore the whole island easily from here including Waimea Canyon and the north shore. We did the Napali Sea Kayak and that worked out great as the van dropped us off right near the house after the tour and we did not have to go all the way back up. I definitely recommend the house if you are looking for a place that has space to just be, and for the price you really can not even come close anywhere else."

"This was our third stay at Hale Pili Aloha and certainly not our last. My husband and I actually plan our trips around the cottage's availability, we love it that much. Tucked away and secluded, yet close to many things in the Poipu area including Baby Beach, we love this little treasure. It's beautifully appointed and so very cozy, my husband says he never sleeps better than when he's there:) It also offers just about anything you could need at the beach: towels, mats, noodles, boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc. The owners are incredibly kind and responsive to questions. Trust me, it'll be the best decision you'll make."

"This is a clean vacation home close to the beach. We were here with another family, so there was a total of 9 people. The two upstair rooms where great for the parents, while the lower level worked out for the kids. We loved how the kids could run over to the beach or go get a shave ice without us watching their every step. I loved the upper deck in the morning while I drank my coffee, read my book and listened to the ocean. The owner was friendly and easy to contact. I am hoping to go back some day soon!"
