"My husband and I spent a week at the condo and were very impressed. We had seen pictures on the website but the condo was so much more impressive in person. We quickly felt it was our home away from home. There was so much available to us. The kitchen was fully stocked. The champagne in the fridge to welcome us was a very nice touch. There was all kinds of beach accessories for us to use--snorkels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. we loved sitting on the private lanai drinking wine and just watching the ocean. We will definitely be planning another trip. It was a perfect Hawaiian vacation!!"

"Perfect place to spend our honeymoon. The location really can't be beat, especially for the affordable cost. Our favorite part was watching the green parrots in the palm trees right off the lanai at dawn and dusk coming in to roost for the night. I've never seen anything like it! The AC was very helpful on evenings when the trade winds weren't blowing. It was also nice to sleep some nights without it. The pool area was a clean quiet oasis. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and snorkel gear that we took to Poipu Beach and Ke'e Beach for all day excursions. The bed was nice and big and comfy. There were plenty of towels in the closet plus hangers and a spare rod so you can dry your suits and towels in the shower. The couch area was perfect for having morning coffee while watching the news for the weather and surf report or relaxing in the afternoon with a book and a cool drink. The unit is on the top floor and near the stairs. With the exception of a few slamming doors now and then the room is very peaceful and quiet. Absolutely no road noise whatsoever. Just the relaxing waterfall near the pool and the occasional Kauai chicken.
We did have a little bit of a problem keeping the sugar ants at bay. We kept the counters and sink wiped clean but as soon as we turned the oven on they came running out. That's what you get in the tropics though, keep it tidy and they weren't too bad. The stove burners were a little wonky and I had a pan go sliding off a few times but we managed. Used the grills down by the pool area to cook up some ono and fresh local veggies from the Wednesday market at Kukui'ula shoping center which is within walking distance. They also have live music on Friday nights. It was really nice having a kitchen area to save money and cook in some of our meals. Our favorite breakfast was half of a papaya with some yogurt and Anahola granola. YUM!
There's a very nice laundry room down on the first floor for people who need to do a wash. There was a basket in the bathroom closet that we used a couple of times to take down and run a quick load.
Lawai Beach and the Beach House restaurant are right across the street. One of the best places on the island to watch the sunset!
Kauai Vacation Rentals were very helpful and accommodating. We absolutely loved the shopping bag and the little lunch cooler with coffee and goodies. It was such a nice touch. Thank you so much for helping us have a memorable trip. Mahalo!"

"We only had 4 nights to spend in Kauai at the end of a 3-island first visit to Hawaii, but this was a great place to end our trip. The other reviews have covered all the important points - quiet, beautiful views, comfortable, well-equipped, easy rental process, great location. We already miss hearing the surf! The unit does not have AC, but in November & with the trade winds, we found that the cross-breezes & fans were enough to keep us comfortable all the time. In addition to the Beach House (next door) & Merriman's (Kukui'ula), a plate lunch from the Fish Market in Koloa with some fresh poke is recommended. Enjoy it on the lanai at sunset, no ka 'oi!! Mahalo for sharing your place in paradise with us!"

"We recently had the pleasure of staying in Mel and Pearl's unit, #314..the last week of October, 2015. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great vacation! The views were outstanding, as advertised.. turtles, and surfers every day. We had a hard time leaving in the morning to go explore, our coffee on the lanai and the view was so wonderful! This unit had everything, beach chairs, extra snorkel gear, sand mats, beach towels... and the extra wrap around window in the dining area made the views even better. At first I was concerned about no air conditioning, but with the windows open, the ocean breeze was perfect.. along with hearing the ocean all the time!! Check out the café recommended by the owners... BEST BREAKFAST EVER! Check out the food truck at Koloa town.. wonderful fish tacos! We were scuba diving, and this location was great.. the dive boat picked us up at the dock, just 5 minutes from the condo! Also check out Skyline Zipline, also located just 5 minutes from condo.. in the plaza, a great company and a fun way to see different views of the island. We would definitely stay at this condo again.. the location was perfect, close to Koloa town, and shopping plaza close by also. Snorkel beach right next door. The rental process with Mel was so easy, he answered all questions and emails promptly. Thanks Mel and Pearl for sharing your wonderful home in paradise with everyone! Aloha!"
