"We and another couple enjoyed this 2 bedroom condo. Excellent rate and a very cozy 2 bedroom ground floor condo. Sunsets every night at the community viewing area overlooking the ocean. Met some very friendly residents also. Close to Koloa town and some good restaurants. Went golfing at Kiahuna golf course about 2 miles away. We recommend this unit. Thank You"

"My husband and I typically prefer a condo unit with a walkout, beach front property but when reading the review of this condo decided to give this unit a a try because of the great reviews indicating whale activity during whale migration season. We stayed mid- February thru early March. WOW....no kidding, spout watching was like watching popcorn pop and we saw whale tails splashing and a breach or two right from our condo. We also watched dolphins, sea turtles and monk seals from our condo deck. Condo unit is nice, clean, spacious and comfortable with a great amount of amenities including more than enough fans in the unit to provide us with air, if needed. Yes, there is no walkout beach BUT there is spectacular ocean view and we TOTALLY enjoyed watching and listening to the sea rolls right from our condo. Great rocks and cliffs to climb and explore along the coast line as well. Sunsets, sunrises.....one has it all. Bill was great to work with and really made the initial ground work of getting a trip like this off the ground a very easy feat. Prior to our arrival, he made certain we had access to contact numbers should we need help with anything regarding the rental of the condo. LOVE Kauai, loved staying at Makahuena and all that it offered to my family and I. Also, we had great experiences with all of the following companies. Jack Harter Helicopters, Back Country Adventures (tubing and zipline) Luau Kalamaku and Captain Andy’s Napali Coast Sunset Dinner Cruise. Great people, very informative and FUN! We all found Kauai to be a great island to explore and when we weren’t out exploring, we LOVED being “at home” back at the condo."

"It's the perfect setting! Morning coffee on the lanai watching the clouds and ocean. As the day heats up the lanai becomes shaded and cool while trade winds whisk away humidity. Traveled with our young adult kids, five of us total, with room to stretch out. Kitchen is tight but works. Amenities are comfortable. Bedrooms are a nice size; the 2 1/2 baths very useful. The facility common areas are well kept; pool, spa, & propane grilling stations. Convenient parking. Good management & communications. This condo is separated from a shoreline walking trail by a hedge & unobtrusive fence - looking down from well above ground level. Eastern views to Shipwreck Beach and sunrise, or through the clever side portal and windows to the lava crusted shoreline. Enjoyable ten minute walk to Poipu Beach, or head to the coastal end of the property overlooking lava rocks, sea turtles, crashing waves, and sunsets. Not quite as central as other places on the island, but that's the trade-off for enjoying the driest climate and better beaches. Kauai is a unique destination with something for everyone, but especially those who enjoy and appreciate largely undisturbed and sometimes adventurous outdoor settings. Much enjoyed and highly recommended!"

"What a great place!!
Beautiful view of the ocean and mountains from the lanai, living room and main bedroom. Well equipped kitchen for cooking most of our meals during our stay. Very comfortable beds. Washer and dryer were very convenient for keeping beach towels clean. A constant ocean breeze and the sound of crashing waves. Great snorkeling at nearby Poipu Beach with a sea turtle taking a nap in the sand before returning to the water. Absolutely fabulous vacation! Owner was especially kind letting us have a late check - out. Got to enjoy an extra day at the beach before our late evening flight home. Would love to come back and stay here again. Thanks for sharing your lovely condo!"
