  • Beautiful Home

"Our son, wife, and 3 young children stayed here for a week during our family reunion. We were surprised to see how updated and beautifully furnished this unit was compared to many of the others at the Kiahuna Plantation. Very spacious 2- story, 2 bedroom condo which easily accommodated their family. We've visited the Hawaii islands on many occasions and found the Kiahuna to be our favorite.....can't think of a better place to spend time, especially with children and this unit is truly a gem. This unit is a bargain for what you pay and what you get compared to others at Kiahuna. Aloha..."

  • Superb Property!

"My family and I just spent 9 days recently at this lovely property and couldn't have been happier. The moment you step in you just feel at home with their lovely decor. It had everything we could have asked for in a vacation home. Perfect location for the two boys, age 5 and 8. We enjoyed using all the beach gear on hand, the well stocked kitchen and BBQ on the front porch. We normally stay at a condominium down the street but decided to take a chance on a home this time to have more room for the kids. What a great decision it was! The kids made friends with other kids staying near by, we all enjoyed Baby Beach with all the tide pools and calm water. The boys even swam with a turtle there one morning. The snorkeling was great by the Beach House, in front of Whalers Cove and of course Poipu Beach. We hardly ate out because it was so nice sitting on the front porch eating our meals! We did manage to make it out for a few meals at the shopping center. Great places to enjoy a meal all within walking distance. Baby Beach Bugalow with be our 1st choice every time we come back to Kauai."

  • 2nd time will return again

"I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time visiting Kauai growing up and have now made it a new tradition, I hope to continue with my husband. We stayed here August 2013 for our honeymoon and now again August 2014. We own several VRBO properties and always use VRBO when traveling. From our extensive experience, I can give the unit 5 stars. Yes, there is no air conditioning, but this is common for Kauai. Open up the windows and enjoy the beautiful and healing Kauai air. Condo is nicely remodeled and still looks great. They have a few chairs, umbrella and some other items that are useful for the beach or a day trip. Kiahuna also provides chairs and towels, free of charge, at the beach hut. We enjoy cooking in the kitchen, on the nearby grill, making smoothies, virgin and non :) for the beach, etc. They have wonderful Hawaiian shampoo, conditioner and soap, so you can leave those items at home. The unit comes with toilet paper, dish washer soap, kleenex, paper towel and several other items not always stocked in a VRBO condo. Can't say anything was missing. Great price and location. Shauna is a pleasure to deal with and quick to respond. She puts forth an effort to make sure you are taken care of. They have recommendation books in the condo, etc. We will be back. Next time with a little one in tow, due in Feb :) Some of our favorite things - get fish food from Nukumoi Surf shop from Brenneckes and watch the fish go crazy. I recommend doing this over by the sand point that sticks out where the Waiohai beach and public Poipu Beach meet. Go to the right of the point and those fish know all about the food ;) Breakfast burritos are great and inexpensive at the little convenience store under Brenneckes. You can find a path with a mixture of path and street walking over to the Hyatt for live music and cocktails at Sunset on the Seaview Terrace. Or just drive. Keoki's is always great, call for live music schedule. I could go on about all the great things within walking distance from this condo, but the best part is to just walk down the grass, onto the beautiful sand and into the ocean. Also lots of running and walking paths around condo. Amazing amounts of fish and sea turtles all around Poipu. My hubby doesn't always like the sand or sun for his irish skin, so relaxing on the huge lawn at Kiahuna, under the many palm trees gives us perfect access and site to the beach as well. We be back to this unit!"

  • Wonderful

"My family and I just spent the week here and had a wonderful experience. First, the location is amazing. Watching the waves crash just yards from the lanai was mesmerizing. We saw turtles and dolphins daily. The unit was nicely furnished and having beach supplies available was very handy. Being our first trip to Hawaii, we used this location as a base to see the entire island. From snorkeling at Ke'e Beach to the North to watching the sunset at Polihale State Park, we did it all. A helicopter ride to see the island and the Na Pali Coast was the highlight of the trip. Snorkeling at Poipu was great. Waimea Canyon is worth the drive. We also squeezed in a luau and ATV tour. The condo grounds was in great shape. I can't say enough good things about this. Location and value is second to none. Highly recommend!"
