  • Came for the sunshine

"We loved our stay at Kahala 214, and wouldn't hesitate to book this again. It was close to a farmers market that was open Monday-Saturday. We loved how close it was to the ocean, and truly enjoyed those gorgeous sunsets. The unit was clean and comfortable, and well-stocked with puzzles and books. We loved watching tennis, and the courts were always full. My brother and I even tried an hour of tennis one morning - it was easy to rent raquets right on site. The pool and hot tub were steps away. The Aqua-size classes were Mon/Wed/Fri and were free and the group was very friendly and welcoming. There was yoga near the beach on the grass on Tues/Thurs/Sat mornings for $15 a class and the instructor brings the mats and props. I loved doing yoga outdoors with them. The condo had good parking, and it was easy to get around the island from this location. We loved our stay here."

  • I wish I could live here all the time!

"This condo was GORGEOUS! I loved the layout and how comfortable it is- I seriously wish it could be transported to California so that I could have it for my own house. (Do you think the owners can come & decorate my apartment please?) It had EVERYTHING in it too, the listing really wasn't kidding! We were glad to be able to do some laundry, and it was soooo nice to find a place that had enough towels (including beach towels!) We had such a great time there; we were able to walk to the beach, some local bars and restaurants (Breneke's was delicious and had fantastic live music), and it was super easy to get to other places on the island from there. I really liked how simple it was to find the unit, and how close it was to 'town' for when we needed to go to the big stores like Walmart or wanted to go to Kalapaki bay with all of the restaurants and resorts etc. It was a great place for us to vacation since we had peace and quiet at the unit but with full amenities like great accessibility for dragging our luggage around, the pool about 20 steps away, and beautiful, lush tropical landscaping right around the unit, (including one of my favorites) a MASSIVE hibiscus plant full of the most incredible flowers right in front of the condo. It was the best rental I've EVER stayed in on the island and I really hope to be able to go back again soon!"

  • Last minute reservation for 3 nights.

"I and my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and infant grandson booked this unit as a last minute addition to the beginning of our stay on Kauai rather than book a hotel room. We decided to come over 3 days early until the arrival of our son and his family. After three days we moved to another house near the Sheraton for the remaining 11 days of our trip. I am not one to give glowing or flowery reviews, but I cannot say enough good about the property and ESPECIALLY the owners. We were contacted about a week or more before our arrival date and informed that there would be construction going on next door and that he was totally unaware that it was going to start. They offered a full refund with no penalties if we wished to cancel. If we did stay, a discount on the cost of our stay would be applied when damage deposit was refunded. We went ahead and stayed and the construction was no problem with us at all. In fact we had more noise at the house we moved to after this rental as it backed up to Poipu Rd. We were wishing we were back at this beautiful and secluded location. Although beach access is not direct and you must walk around to get there, we did not find this a problem. Baby Beach is a great place to take young children. We had an infant with us and if we had too much to carry, we simply drove around. There was never a problem finding a parking place. The property is beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained. My wife and I are from a small and remote commercial fishing town in Alaska of around 1800 population. Besides the beauty of the mountains and the sea, what makes us really love it here are the people. Although I have never met these owners or even talked to them on the phone I feel they are like the citizens of our town. Honest and caring. I just want to say thanks and that we WILL be doing business with you again."

  • Wonderful condo

"This condo is so well appointed and up to date. I could have been happy never to leave the lanai. The view was beautiful and it was such fun to watch the sea turtles. It's location next to the Beach House restaurant was so convenient. We celebrated my birthday dinner there and didn't have to worry about finding a parking space. Every evening we walked next door and joined the people outside the Beach House watching the unobstructed view of the sunset. The location is very close to Spouting Horn and the McBride and Allerton gardens. Even the bedroom and bathroom have ocean views. I've never before had a bathroom with a view! The only sounds we heard were the waves, no street or parking lot noise. I highly recommend this unit."
