  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!

"My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the morning with coffee and then again in the late afternoon after our day at the beach. It is peaceful and scenic - the patio offers a view of the ocean as well as the beautiful landscape. We really enjoyed feeling as if we were in a home and not just in a hotel room. It truly adds to the experience to be able to buy local fish and make meals at the house. It is a short walk to the beach which is lovely for days you don't want to drive anywhere. We even stopped at a restaurant on the way back from the beach so it was all very convenient. I fell in love with Kauai all over again during this visit. I would recommend this place and hope to return soon."

  • Came for the sunshine

"We loved our stay at Kahala 214, and wouldn't hesitate to book this again. It was close to a farmers market that was open Monday-Saturday. We loved how close it was to the ocean, and truly enjoyed those gorgeous sunsets. The unit was clean and comfortable, and well-stocked with puzzles and books. We loved watching tennis, and the courts were always full. My brother and I even tried an hour of tennis one morning - it was easy to rent raquets right on site. The pool and hot tub were steps away. The Aqua-size classes were Mon/Wed/Fri and were free and the group was very friendly and welcoming. There was yoga near the beach on the grass on Tues/Thurs/Sat mornings for $15 a class and the instructor brings the mats and props. I loved doing yoga outdoors with them. The condo had good parking, and it was easy to get around the island from this location. We loved our stay here."

  • Perfect vacation retreat

"Our family of five had a fantastic time at Hale Poipu. The house was impeccably decorated. Our favorite part was the expansive lanai overlooking the ocean. Pam and Patty were extremely accommodating. Great location, tons of gear (bikes, snorkel gear) in the garage. We even harvested an avocado! Can't wait to return."

  • Comfortable Well-Equipped Condo in a Good Location

"We spent 10 nights in this spacious condo with our two children. The grandparents were supposed to come with us so we wanted the extra space. In the end they couldn't come so it was more space than we needed but that is never a bad thing. The place will comfortably sleep 7 since the loft has a king size bed and a twin. It was really nice being able to put the kids to bed and then spend time in the living room at night reading or watching TV. In a hotel room, you don't have another room. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. It had every cooking utensil, pot, and pan you would ever need. We went to Costco and Walmart the first day and stocked up on food for the entire trip. We ate almost all of our breakfasts and dinners at home and made picnic lunches to eat on the beach. Saved a lot of money and was much more convenient with two little ones (4 and 6). There was also a very well-stocked beach closet with sand toys, beach towels, mats, umbrellas, etc. On the balcony there were beach chairs and boogie boards. So the only thing you need to bring are masks and goggles and you are set. The kids also enjoyed swimming at the condo pool, although its pretty small for larger kids. There is a BBQ at the pool that you can use for grilling. We had to open up all the doors and windows in addition to the ceiling fans to cool off, but then generally it was ok. We spent most days away from the condo so we were only there in the mornings and at night, but on the few occasions we came back in the middle of the day, it was warm but tolerable. If we had had air conditioning I would have used it, but we survived without it. The one thing we couldn't have survived without was the washer dryer. With all the beach towels, swimsuits, clothes, PJ's, rash guards, etc for 4 people, we had to do wash every day and I don't see how anyone comes to the island without them. That was the number one thing that was better than a hotel room. Made our stay infinitely better. So you can bring fewer clothes since you can wash them as you go. Strangely, there were lots of parrots flying around in the evening. We were always able to find parking near the condo. We visited about 7 beaches on the island, so we went to a different beach almost every day. Poipu was great, but we wanted to see the entire island. So the closeness of Poipu wasn't that important to us. Great island--we saw new things every day for 10 days and could have seen more. Definitely need a car to see things. Thanks so much!"
