  • Best Family Vacation

"We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation. The 'surf room' was a huge hit with the grandkids. With five small grandchildren, the sleeping arrangements could not have been any better. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen was there. It was great having double sinks in all three of the bathrooms. As one of the other reviews stated, it truly was a home away from home. There was constant communication and the instructions were spot on. THANK YOU for sharing your lovely home with us.!!"

  • Comfortable Well-Equipped Condo in a Good Location

"We spent 10 nights in this spacious condo with our two children. The grandparents were supposed to come with us so we wanted the extra space. In the end they couldn't come so it was more space than we needed but that is never a bad thing. The place will comfortably sleep 7 since the loft has a king size bed and a twin. It was really nice being able to put the kids to bed and then spend time in the living room at night reading or watching TV. In a hotel room, you don't have another room. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. It had every cooking utensil, pot, and pan you would ever need. We went to Costco and Walmart the first day and stocked up on food for the entire trip. We ate almost all of our breakfasts and dinners at home and made picnic lunches to eat on the beach. Saved a lot of money and was much more convenient with two little ones (4 and 6). There was also a very well-stocked beach closet with sand toys, beach towels, mats, umbrellas, etc. On the balcony there were beach chairs and boogie boards. So the only thing you need to bring are masks and goggles and you are set. The kids also enjoyed swimming at the condo pool, although its pretty small for larger kids. There is a BBQ at the pool that you can use for grilling. We had to open up all the doors and windows in addition to the ceiling fans to cool off, but then generally it was ok. We spent most days away from the condo so we were only there in the mornings and at night, but on the few occasions we came back in the middle of the day, it was warm but tolerable. If we had had air conditioning I would have used it, but we survived without it. The one thing we couldn't have survived without was the washer dryer. With all the beach towels, swimsuits, clothes, PJ's, rash guards, etc for 4 people, we had to do wash every day and I don't see how anyone comes to the island without them. That was the number one thing that was better than a hotel room. Made our stay infinitely better. So you can bring fewer clothes since you can wash them as you go. Strangely, there were lots of parrots flying around in the evening. We were always able to find parking near the condo. We visited about 7 beaches on the island, so we went to a different beach almost every day. Poipu was great, but we wanted to see the entire island. So the closeness of Poipu wasn't that important to us. Great island--we saw new things every day for 10 days and could have seen more. Definitely need a car to see things. Thanks so much!"

  • Could not have been better

"10 of us in all from 6 to 80 all loved this place. Great price for the large home and amenities. We were so pleasantly surprised. Large home with lots of space so you are never in the way of someone else. Rooms are decorated so nice, I loved the wall art. Beds & pillows were so comfortable!!! Kitchen was stocked with all you would need & then some. Days & one night was a little warm, but with fans on & breeze we were fine. Weather was great only rained at night while we were there. Beaches were a little windy at times, but this kept it comfortable. Variety of boogie boards & sand toys. Plenty of towels for hot tub & beach. We had more than enough laundry, kitchen & bathroom soaps included with stay. Private Hot tub was nice and Pool and hot tub were used probably every day. Short walk to Shipwreck beach & Hyatt for Luau. We drove to other beaches because we always had to much to take with us. Got to see both Monk Seals and a Sea Turtle beached by Baby Beach area. Loved sandwiches from Brennecke's - did this on 1st day because we were too early to check in. If you want the perfect home to rent for a few families of all ages for a week look no further. Owners were very helpful & needed only 1 thing (battery for smoke detector) - Jim (owner) was at the house to change out within 1/2 hour. Great service."
