  • Great home base on Kauai

"The grounds at Kiahuna are beautiful and well kept. Love the grass and the beach access. This unit is very comfortable and makes a great home base. With gates that were provided, this two story condo worked well for our family of six (including 1 1/2 year old plus five adults). The view from this unit, of lagoon, grass, and ocean, is beautiful. Both Kiahuna and Poipu Beach are centrally located with easy access to shopping and restaurants -- but the grounds give a feeling of seclusion. Nicely furnished unit with convenient washer and dryer plus access to the recently remodeled pool. Highly recommend this unit -- would definitely stay again."

  • Perfect Place to Getaway!

"I have traveled quite a bit and spent time on a number of the islands, always looking for something that is reasonable, but nice as well. This property fulfilled all of our needs. We arrived in the evening and had no issues with checking in. Everything was waiting for us. First impressions of the condo was that of a well taken care of property that had been carefully furnished. The decore was very nice with a true island feel, with high quality furnishings. Loved being able to sit on the balcony in the morning with a cup of coffee and hear the ocean waves...jetlag had me up at 3:00 am, but it was nice to just have a quiet place to relax with the fresh ocean air. Once our day began, we walked down to the beach. Not too far of a walk, but you have to leave the property and walk down. We walked by the ocean on the property, which had some awesome views of the waves crashing on the rocks, but no way to swim off of there unless you were a turtle. Took us about 10 minutes to walk the beach, but later in the week we drove down so we could leave the beach and go to some lunch at one of the market areas just down the road. There were boogie boards and snorkle equipment in the room, so we did not have to spend anything on renting from a place on the beach, which was also really nice. Eating out can get expensive, but the nice part of renting a condo that is fully furnished is that the kitchen had the necessities for us to cook for the family. We managed to find a fish market and pick up fresh mahi mahi, which we grilled on the gas grills provided on the property. There is a dishwasher, so that made cleanup a lot easier. Played 2 rounds of golf during this trip. Bring your clubs, the Poipu Bay Course and Princeville are both awesome. Just something about playing golf on ocean holes that just makes that special. The Poipu Bay course is minutes from the property, Princeville is on the north end of the island, but also worth the drive. Like any trip to Hawaii, it never seems to be long enough. There is a full washer and dryer in the condo, so you can avoid flying home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes. Just not an option you would have in a regular hotel room, just very convenient. We will definitely keep this condo on our list for future trips!"

  • Awesome spot on Poipu Beach!!!

"At first, I was a little hesitant to rent this unit since there were no reviews but I am SO glad I did!!! The owner was great to deal with and phone calls/e-mails were returned promptly. The location of this condo is top notch (1st building off beach!) and we loved hearing the waves as we fell asleep each night. The amenities in the unit are simple but all we needed. I thought the layout was a little quirky because of a 2nd sink off the hallway but we were glad it was there. My husband and I didn't have to share a sink!! We could see the ocean from the dining room table. The great lawn that unit 183 opens onto is breathtaking and super fun for children to run and play. There is a beach shack right next to the condo where you can exchange towels and pickup beach chairs each day. I believe you can also rent snorkel gear there too. Outrigger manages the property on site and everything was handled smoothly, including a towel exchange mid-week. The owner arranged for Outrigger to provide us with a high chair and pack-n-play ($5 per night) for our toddler during our stay. This owner is a member of the Athletic Club across the street so we were able to use their pool, exercise equipment, etc. It's a short walk from the unit. There is no AC in the condo but being an end unit, there are blinds on 3 sides of the unit so we got the cross breeze from the tradewinds. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and family room that make it comfortable. The couch can fold out to a bed if needed. There are 2 TV's in the unit, boogie boards, umbrella & beach chair as well as a book collection to borrow from. Each morning, we set out on a walk and had a gorgeous view of the coastline in both directions. I honestly don't know if we'll go anywhere else in Hawaii after staying at Kiahuna. It's a little piece of paradise."
