  • super fantastic

"we enjoyed our visit to Kaua'i and Hale Ohana. More than once my husband commented that we had a great place to stay. This was not my husband's first comment though. He first blurted, "You booked us a place to stay with no air conditioner." After opening the windows, the lack of AC was never mentioned again. AC is not needed here! We enjoyed every activity: Waimea Canyon, kayak/hike to secret waterfall, NaPali sunset cruise, snorkeling. Thanks, Lynelle, for the snorkel/beach equipment. We were able to brew local coffee each morning. We ate at a place that I don't remember the name (near Roy's). We experienced the Aloha spirit here. Two locals talked to us and helped us with some ideas to visit. We also ate at Merriman's and the Port Allen brew pub. After the Waimea Canyon lookouts, we also saw the NaPali coastline. We hiked on a muddy/wet trail and saw views/plants/rain forrest galore. We did not go to the end, but what we saw was gorgeous. We went to a Poipu beach via a long, bumpy dirt road, but it was beautiful. Things we wanted to do, but didn't have time: hike to a waterfall in the Waimea Canyon area, go to the end of the road past Waimea, hike part of the NaPali trail on the north shore, snorkel again, go to beaches on the east side. Roosters/chickens ... all over the place and on other islands. These creatures are on Maui and our daughter said that they came for a while where she was on the north shore of Oahu. These animals were at the top of the Waimea Canyon. At home, chickens/roosters would not last long in the wild due to predators. Hale Ohana is a great place to stay with your family! • Great location, excellent value!

"We just returned from our week stay here and absolutely loved it! We loved the set up of the condo, and the fact it had bathrooms attached to each bedroom. I couldn't wait to go to bed at night because I loved the fresh ocean breezes and listening to the sounds of the waves crashing. The location is great, being walking distance (1/2-3/4 mi), or a short drive, to some of the best beaches. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the extra towels and boogie boards were a huge plus! We'd definitely stay here again!"

  • Poipu Gem!

"My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at Kauai Cove Cottages. The property was well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The close proximity to restaurants, shops, beaches, activities made the location ideal for our vacation. Being able to easily walk to eat, swim, or see turtles is a reasons for us to return for more in the future."

  • Amazing experience!

"When we arrived at the house, we were greeted with beautiful Hawaiian music to welcome us! We continued to be very pleased with our accommodations the entire trip. The only part we didn't like was when we had to leave. The description of the home was spot on. The pictures of the property were true to what we saw. It was hard for me to imagine that the view from the lanai would be as perfect as the picture, but it was. The only thing the pictures didn't capture was the beautiful sights and sounds of the ocean. We all marveled at how we were able to wake up early enough to see the sunrise. We spent several evenings on Baby Beach, watching the sunset. Magnificent. The beach is literally across the street. It was so cool to walk to the beach whenever we wanted. We saw sea turtles and even a monk seal. The property was very clean and everything was in good working order. The owner provided so many touches that made it seemed like home. The home was very comfortable. We had several in our party. There wasn't a time when we felt crowded. We found ourselves enjoying the lanai in the morning/evening and the sky chairs were also popular. We also cooked a lot! The kitchen was super. We were able to cook everything from Mexican food to Italian food without a problem! The kitchen is well equipped. Lots to do within walking distance. Nice areas to take a walk. We all LOVED this property and hope to visit again. We felt totally relaxed as if we were at home! I would (and have) recommend this property to anyone wanting a truly wonderful place to stay."
