  • The Perfect Vacation

"Could be the nicest vacation rental we have had the pleasure to stay in. The house is charming, immaculate, well-equipped, close to a great beach to watch the sunset -- couldn't have asked for more. We would love to be able to make a return visit, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to our friends. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home."

  • Can't wait for the next time!

"We spent six nights in this gem. The condo is excellent and just as described. The view was understated though. What a great place to sit and watch the sites! Multiple turtles every day, fisherman trying their luck and folks snorkeling. (Need to come back in the winter for the whales) The sunsets were great and as far as location goes, this place is fantastic. Even got to see Bethany Hamilton surfing out in front of the Beach House restaurant. Tons to do within a 30 minute drive east or west and add another hour and you are on the north side of the island. The communication, directions and tips given by Kevin and Molla were outstanding. Make sure you get a 4x4 or SUV because the beach out past Poipu, they recommend is not to be missed but i wouldn't try it in a car and I'm not afraid to abuse rental cars. Convenient shopping within walking distance and really good restaurants too. The farmers market on Wed nights is a good way to get some local supplies to have for dinner. If you are pizza lover get a Brick Oven pizza about 6 miles away, best ever. Thanks for the use of your place. Can't wait to come back and do all the things we couldn't fit into our schedule."

  • Lovely but no air conditioner

"The unit is very nice. We were there end of October and it was unusually hot. The unit is unbearably hot/stuffy in the morning as the sun rises into the east windows. You have to leave and do something in the morning and come back later. For this reason I probably wouldn't stay here again unless AC is installed"

  • Full of Aloha!

"Perfect place to spend our honeymoon. The location really can't be beat, especially for the affordable cost. Our favorite part was watching the green parrots in the palm trees right off the lanai at dawn and dusk coming in to roost for the night. I've never seen anything like it! The AC was very helpful on evenings when the trade winds weren't blowing. It was also nice to sleep some nights without it. The pool area was a clean quiet oasis. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and snorkel gear that we took to Poipu Beach and Ke'e Beach for all day excursions. The bed was nice and big and comfy. There were plenty of towels in the closet plus hangers and a spare rod so you can dry your suits and towels in the shower. The couch area was perfect for having morning coffee while watching the news for the weather and surf report or relaxing in the afternoon with a book and a cool drink. The unit is on the top floor and near the stairs. With the exception of a few slamming doors now and then the room is very peaceful and quiet. Absolutely no road noise whatsoever. Just the relaxing waterfall near the pool and the occasional Kauai chicken. We did have a little bit of a problem keeping the sugar ants at bay. We kept the counters and sink wiped clean but as soon as we turned the oven on they came running out. That's what you get in the tropics though, keep it tidy and they weren't too bad. The stove burners were a little wonky and I had a pan go sliding off a few times but we managed. Used the grills down by the pool area to cook up some ono and fresh local veggies from the Wednesday market at Kukui'ula shoping center which is within walking distance. They also have live music on Friday nights. It was really nice having a kitchen area to save money and cook in some of our meals. Our favorite breakfast was half of a papaya with some yogurt and Anahola granola. YUM! There's a very nice laundry room down on the first floor for people who need to do a wash. There was a basket in the bathroom closet that we used a couple of times to take down and run a quick load. Lawai Beach and the Beach House restaurant are right across the street. One of the best places on the island to watch the sunset! Kauai Vacation Rentals were very helpful and accommodating. We absolutely loved the shopping bag and the little lunch cooler with coffee and goodies. It was such a nice touch. Thank you so much for helping us have a memorable trip. Mahalo!"
