  • Wonderfully equipped apt. 205 in Prince Kuhio complex

"The unit was well laid out, very well equipped - and in fact everything worked easily including the TV - and very comfortable and cheerful. Lovely breeze blew through the unit from the windward side. Many thoughtful touches like beach chairs and towels, salt&pepper, some condiments and aluminum foil and baggies. And of course it is located in a great spot for walking, ocean viewing and swimming ( you could hear the ocean at night), and the nightly sunset watch at the Beach house lawn."

  • Beyond Our Expectations

"My family of 4 stayed stayed in Jim's Condo at Sunset Kahili for 4 very short days. The time flew! The condo was very tidy, clean and comfortable. The views were out of this world. Looking out all of the main windows in the unit were views of the ocean. I'd imagine during whale season the sights would be fantastic. As it was, we could look about any time of the day and see turtles swimming below. Falling asleep to the crash of the surf was soothing. The condo was extremely well stocked. I only cooked a couple of times, but didn't want for anything. The barbq area was close, clean and well maintained. The walk to Poipu Beach was short and easy. Brennecke's Beachfront Restaurant was as close as the beach, and a good place to take a short walk to have a great cocktail before bed or with dinner. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, and boutiques all within short driving distance. The pool was small, but beautiful. We enjoyed the fresh soft water after a long day out on the ocean. Our stay was fantastic...the only regret, that we couldn't stay longer. Would definitely recommend to others for a great stay at a fantastic place."

  • Perfect Family Beach Vacation

"My wife and I and our 18 month year old son stayed in this unit for 8 nights in August. The first thing you notice upon arrival is how close it is to the beach and the fabulous ocean views. This unit was perfect for our son because it was on the ground floor and the patio leads directly to the grass area in front of the unit. He was able to play and run around with the other children staying close by. He had an absolute blast. The inside of the unit was updated and we used the kitchen frequently during our stay. The BBQ area is also very close by and is a great way to meet your neighbors. This unit also has access to the pool and we went several times. Our son had a great time playing in the baby area and going down the waterslide. Parking is also close to unit. We hope to go back soon!"

  • Kapakai House's gracious warmth matches beauty and grandeur of Kauai!

"This was the perfect home for our family's first vacation on Kauai! From the impressive 'tunnel of trees' to breathtaking Waimea Canyon, the beauty of the island as well as the elegant and spacious interior of the house were both unforgettably imprinted on our hearts. There was so much to see and experience both inside and out! Grandma and Grandpa (70+), son and daughter in law (40+) and two granddaughters (21 and 10) each had varying dreams of a perfect vacation. And we were all able to fulfill our desires: rest and relaxation, shopping at nearby malls and Old Koloa Town, sun-time on the nearby beaches, playing in the surf, exploring and sightseeing, gourmet meals at home or nearby restaurants, sunsets and star watching. The Kapakai House, it's provisions and decor far exceeded our expectations. Even the photos don't adequately capture the beautiful and large Hawaiiana atmosphere it provides for its guests. We especially loved the soft and fragrant breezes that blew through the house every day. We would love to return again! Mahalo and Aloha! Juliana and Jim.....you are the best!"
