  • Felt like home for our ohana!

"We split our stay recently in Kauai between the South and the North. We loved our stay here! It was warm without AC but we stayed during a time with record highs so that definitely made for warmer days. And to be honest we didn't come to Kauai to spend the afternoon in the Condo. We loved the cushy carpet to relax on and play family games at night, the quiet top of the hill location was wonderful, and we enjoyed coffee on the lanai each morning and watching the sunset from there each night. The mirrored wall made the whole place glow while I was cooking dinner in the evening. Easy parking and a short walk to all the beaches. The welcome basket on arrival was so wonderful to walk into-nice touch! There were sand toys that was perfect for our daughter. It might seem silly but the shower pressure in the master was super strong and was incredibly refreshing after a day of sun block and sand! The downstairs lanai made for a great spot for me to get my yoga sessions in listening to the birds with the distant sounds of the ocean. We have already decided that when we return we hope this place is available! Mahalo!"

  • Great Family Place!

"We rented two extra two bedroom units as our family has been growing quickly. We were fortunate in being able to have three units in a row next to the pool. This allowed for easy access for the grandkids and is a perfect pool for toddlers and young children. The children's activities through the activity center were a lot of fun for the kids, especially the fishing!! We have been coming to this resort for many years and always look forward to our return trips. My only complaint is that we went to what was billed as an "owner's update" meeting which turned out to be a hardcore timeshare sales presentation, wasting an afternoon of an otherwise enjoyable stay. (We should have just walked out of the meeting and are sorry we did not.) Other than the "owners update" meeting, I would highly recommend staying at this property."

  • Home in Paradise

"This was our 1st trip to Kauai for our 25th anniversary & I am so glad I chose this condo as our home away from home. The resort is beautifully landscaped with a view of the ocean, easy access to the one of the best beaches & with it's own pool nearby. The condo itself was cool with all the wonderful ceiling fans, clean & comfortable & we loved the beautifully remodeled kitchen, the very comfortable king size bed & the gorgeous art work & photography of beautiful Kauai. We explored the island quite a bit & starting our mornings with breakfast & coffee on the lanai with the peaceful view & ending our evenings with a drink &/or dinner we had grilled right out back with that same gentle breeze & setting sun over the ocean view were just the perfect beginning and ending to each day. While we were there we hiked Waimea Canyon on the West, visited Hanalei Bay & Tunnels beaches in the North, Kalapaka Bay in Lihue a bit to the East, attended the lovely and delicious Smith Family Luau on their gorgeous plantation in the East but always felt we had the best of everything in our condo in Poipu's South Shore. The beaches in the South are beautiful, peaceful, with great snorkeling and the shops and restaurants within walking distance to the condo were wonderful. Especially enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Keoki's Paradise (the sunset menu is a great deal, the food is delicious and the setting was quite romantic). I really don't think we could have stayed anywhere better for the value of this condo. The owners were very helpful and responded to any questions via email & phone promptly. This really helped take any possible stress out of our stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo with us. Mahalo :)"

  • Perfect location, well stocked condo

"The condo is fully stocked with beach umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, snorkeling gears and even a wagon to haul everything to the beach. We travel with teenagers and the beaches for body surfing, snorkeling, turtle watching are only 5-10 minutes walk away. Condo is nicely renovated, no a/c, only fans for cross ventilation but this is typical of Kauai and we'd rather like it that way. Bedrooms and baths are downstairs so keep that in mind if limited mobility is an issue. Will recommend to friends and family."

Poipu Travel Tips

Poipu Vacation Rentals on Kauai’s South Shore

On the south shore of Kauai, independent travelers looking for rental property will enjoy Poipu. Poipu vacation rentals are ideal for those seeking beach vacations with plenty to see and do each and every day. Poipu beach condos are great locations for families or groups of friends. In a Kauai lodging choice, you will find a home base for your pleasure, whatever that may be.

Poipu Vacation Rentals to Visit the Spouting Horn

It is well-known that the Hawaiian Islands are volcanic, giving visitors unique and breathtaking landscape to view. Visitors to Poipu vacation rentals find the Spouting Horn a particularly fascinating sight; this phenomenon happens with each wave but for a really stunning sight, visit at sunset. From your Kauai lodging choice, a visit to the National Tropical Botanical Garden is an educational trip. This area was founded to conserve the native flora and now covers almost 2,000 acres, with thousands of species. The Gardens, or rather the five gardens, are close to Poipu beach condos.

Poipu Beach Condos with Golf and Tennis

For those staying at Poipu vacation rentals who want sporting vacations, there are two championship golf courses and a variety of tennis courts around the area. Those seeking adventure in the water will enjoy getting out of their Kauai lodging for scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing or kayaking. The area around Poipu beach condos is filled with hiking trails.

Kauai Lodging to See the Garden Island by Sea or Air

There are some great ways to see the Garden Island that surrounds Poipu beach condos. Take an ocean tour to get some great views of the island's amazing coastline. Near your Kauai lodging choice, you'll find day cruises or, for the romantics, an evening couples-only cruise. For the thrill-seekers, an alternative view of the island can be seen from above via a helicopter trip. All this and so much more can be part of your vacation when you stay at Poipu vacation rentals.
