"I stayed here with my husband, mother in law (55+), stepson (10) and daughter (14 months) for a week and this condo truly fit all of our needs. The main living area was comfortable and clean and the bedrooms and closets were plenty spacious for our group. There were way more sheets and towels than we ever needed, and having a washer and dryer in the condo was so useful. There is no air conditioning, but we opened all of the windows and doors and cranked up all of the ceiling fans while we were there, which cooled everything down quite a bit (side note: the ceiling fans were really hard to figure out, especially the one in the living room - some instructions for guests would be a nice addition!). There were guide books, dining suggestions and a whole binder full of suggestions for things to do on the island written by the owner (I wish I had read it before going to the Smith's Family Luau!). The view from the balcony was awesome, and the walk to the pool wasn't bad at all.
The kitchen was well stocked with lots of pots, pans, dishes, glassware and silverware. We only used the dishwasher a couple of times, but it worked great when we did. There was a coffee maker, toaster, three blenders and other various kitchen gadgets.
Poipu Beach is totally walkable from this condo, and there are lots of activities down there for families - snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, etc. The baby beach was great for the kids. There are two restaurants within walking distance (we tried neither, however). Everyone in the condo was friendly and we felt very safe there.
We really appreciated all of the beach gear that was provided - beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, boogie boards and sand toys were all there. There were also tennis rackets and paddles for the tennis courts on the property.
Overall, this is a great condo. We really enjoyed our stay here. Just be warned - there are a lot of stairs (both in and out of the condo itself), so if you have someone that can't deal with stairs very well, this may not be your condo. We did end up buying a baby gate for the stairs inside (and left it for future visitors). Also, if you need to rent any baby gear like we did (pack 'n play, carriers, cribs, etc.), contact Kauai Baby Rentals - they were fantastic to work with!
Mahalo to Vicky and Tracey for all of their help with our trip!"
