  • Everything was perfect!

"hank you for a delightful stay during our recent trip to Poipu Beach. We loved the location so close to the beach. This was the perfect place for two couples to fully enjoy Kauai! We never tired of watching the sunsets from the hot tub and then barbecuing on the nearby gas grill for dinner. Gale was very helpful and saved us money by making reservations for our luau and helicopter. Her dinner recommendations were the best! We’re already planning a trip next year."

  • Wonderful honeymoon spot!

"There's not a lot more we can add to the previous reviews - Hale Nani Mala was a spectacular closing week to our honeymoon. The house was exactly as advertised - even better, I'd say, with every appliance, gadget, amenity, etc. that you would want. Definitely 5*. It was spotlessly clean - even the laundry detergent cap was good as new. The only thing we couldn't find was a laundry drying rack - but I bet it's there somewhere. The kitchen was fantastic to cook in, the outdoor shower was perfect for washing off after the beach, the private pool was amazing, and the living room was awesome - great ambiance. We spent many nights relaxing, drinking wine and eating home-cooked (and take out!) food in front of the huge TV before going for a late-night dip. It did get pretty hot in the house at night when the doors were shut, but not unbearable and the fans were quite helpful. If you are very affected by the heat, I'd say go in a cooler month (if they exist...I think we were there during a mini heat wave). In additional to the beautiful home, the nearby attractions were great. We walked to a cheap pub (Kalapaki Joe's) with great wings and happy hour deals, to an expensive restaurant (Tidepools at the Hyatt) and the Hyatt beaches and an amazing hike on the cliffs. And the Wednesday farmers market at the local shops stocked our fridge with well-priced veggies and baked goods. I really can't comprehend why someone would complain that the pool isn't heated. In fact, we would have preferred it to be cooler! Perhaps we're used to the colder water being from Canada and swimming in lakes in the summer. But we sat in the un-heated/non-working "hot tub" many days during happy hour for literally an hour without getting cold. The price is somewhat steep if it's just two of you, but incredibly spacious and reasonable if you were two couples or a family. You will not be disappointed choosing Hale Nani Mala!!"

  • You should be so lucky as to stay here!

"I've spent many a night in Kauai, enjoying fine luxury hotels and drinking deep of the liquid sunshine. My latest trip took a different turn by renting this property. Was I ever pleased! First, it's located within short walking distance of Poipu beach. That alone should jack-up the prices beyond what is currently listed. Second, the place is well tend to. I slept in a brand new bed and each morning, my wife and I would look out the top floor balcony window and take in the ocean sea breeze. The fans that cool this place are more than enough to meet a persons needs. And the location puts you very close to many of the big hotels: The Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, and Marriot without hearing them! I love too that places like Seasport Divers is only five minutes away! Heck, even snorkeling around the Beach House restaurant, an equally if not better place to snorkel, is only a few minutes away! And we didn't have time to partake of all the great amenities: pool and bbq just to name a few. Parking is a plenty and there is even an Italian restaurant right across the way. I'm sure we'll rent this again so long as the owner permits it. We were lucky to get this find. I hope, dear reader of this review, you're lucky too!"

  • “Posh condo with stunning oceanfront location!”

"Poipu Shores 305A Condo has been my favorite location from several condos I have stayed at in Kauai. Patricia and Tom the owners are readily available as they live nearby and are so very sweet! Patricia even brought us by some bananas from her garden! They have done beautiful renovations to update this condo. Other condos can have that 70's or '80's feel to them and can be a bit musty if right on the beach. Not this one! It is comparable to an upscale resort! You feel as if you have the biggest bedroom on a luxe cruise ship from the master suite. Panoramic ocean views and crashing waves. It is a very roomy condo with a very relaxing atmosphere. In March/April we saw breaching whales and dolphins every day of our 10 day stay from the spacious lanai balcony! This location is romantic and very well suited for a small family of 4. There are beautiful beaches nearby, shopping, an incredible onsite pool, nearby restaurants, grills on location…everything you need for a Kauai vacation! I would go back in a heartbeat (in fact I'm still there in my mind all the time). Do not miss an opportunity to stay here!"
