  • Absolutely Perfect!

"What a great condo! We were just a few steps from the water and enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the evening and watching the sea turtles. The condo was clean and well appointed. Beautiful! Chris and Becky, the owners, were fabulous to work with. They gave us suggestions on places to eat, things to see and do, and even details of where to find everything was located in the condo so we didn't have to search for things. They welcomed us with a nice gift basket filled with local fruit, coffee and cookies. They thought of everything. Another plus was that the sun sets on the other side of the condo so you get the cool evening shade. I am so glad we chose this condo. Perfect!"

  • One of Our Favourite Vacation Spots!

"We loved the condo as it had all the amenities of home. We appreciated that it was clean...... and stocked with paper products, dish washing supplies, beach equipment and a barbecue across the lawn from the front door. Eating our meals was so enjoyable at the dining room table or lanai which was very private with nice table and chairs. You will find the owners very helpful.....with their booklet of instructions, hints, and Kauai-activity suggestions. The booking manager you deal with is extremely responsive and organized. And, the on-site manager is also very nice and efficient. The condo is situated within a few minutes walk to several beaches, with water ranging from calm to wavy. Restaurants are also within easy walking distance...and it's only a short drive to a shopping center. There are two nice swimming pools, and a large tennis-for-a-fee facility is on-site. Kauai has now become our new favourite island with all its lush vegetation, quieter beaches and scenic views. This condo in Poipu Kai was the perfect place to stay."

  • Classic Poipu Condominium Resort

"After yet another visit to the Kiahuna Plantation, we decided to leave a review. The complex, while a bit dated, is still very elegant and impeccably maintained. The reception area for the Outrigger side was nicely staffed and prompt in processing our arrival. The unit we rented, 230, was in excellent conditions and with a beautiful garden view. The ocean was only 5 minutes away. The lawn area in front of the beach is fantastic and service at the beach hut very friendly. The only annoyance was a power washer cleaning the sidewalks, but we guessed that the place had to be cleaned here and there and it is hard to do it without making noise. This is a family friendly, safe and quite destination."

  • Beautiful Oceanside condo

"We found this lovely, well-furnished condo to be just as advertised. It had everything we needed for cooking and exploring the island. It was nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable bed, and beach supplies to use. But what we enjoyed most was the view from our 2nd floor lanai about 30 feet from the pounding surf. We found ourselves sitting out there with a cool drink in hand, watching the surfers, the swimming turtles, and the changing colors of the water and sky during different times of the day. The moonlight on the water was the best. There was a "super moon" that week. The location is close to restaurants and roads to anywhere on the island. Although quite expensive, the Beach House Restaurant next door is excellent and has a great view of the sunset. Although I knew it would be hot, this Minnesota girl found the upper 80's temps to be a bit too hot with no air conditioning in the condo. (Even the locals complained about the unusually hot summer.) I was thankful for the ceiling fans and 2 other fans, as well as the night time cool downs. The owner emailed detailed directions to find this place, especially appreciated since we arrived after dark, and instructions for finding the key, the hidden TV, etc. This is a beautiful island and be sure to see as much of it as you can. Although there are no resort-type of amenities at Kuhio Shores, it's a great place to stay and a great value."
