  • Many thanks!

"Many thanks to Deb for such a lovely stay! So convenient to everything on the south and west side of the island: manju at Lawai; hiking at Koke'e; poke at Ishihara's, and the beach two blocks away! The house is breezy and full of light, and the kitchen among the better-equipped we've seen in vacation homes. We especially appreciated the choice of rice makers! We didn't use any of the beach equipment, having brought our own, but were amazed by what all was there. The bikes were great, too. We will definitely recommend this home to friends and family staying on that side of the island."

  • It's the Best

"My wife and I just got back a few days ago from spending 7 days of our first post-retirement vacation on Kauai. What can we say about how wonderful Mindy's is that hasn't already been said?...it's all true. Mindy's is immaculate and very comfortable. It's probably better than the pictures suggest. We ate "in" for about half our meals making good use of the deck, propane grill and well equipped kitchen. We found the paperback library in the drawers of the TV stand and caught up on some reading on the beach and when we weren't out and about. Mindy's is about a block from the beginning of Kekaha Beach, a few blocks from the "back road" to Waimea Canyon. We had a great week exploring Kauai using Mindy's as our base. Even the North Shore is only an hour and a half or so drive. Most of the South and West shore sights and activities are within 15-40 minutes. Waimea, about 2 miles East, has a good grocery open to 11 PM daily. The grocery also has a reasonable selection of beer, wine and spirits. There are a couple of eateries in Waimea as well. If "beaching it" is your thing, the apartment has chairs, umbrellas, coolers and even snorkeling gear. The beaches are minutes away. Mindy and Dave are the perfect hosts...warm and welcoming They were very helpful with suggestions when asked and never intrusive. We arrived to fresh fruit, home baked muffins and a box of (chocolate covered) macadamia nuts...mmm Do yourself a favor, don't bother trying to find anywhere else."

  • Great visit

"We started our honeymoon in Kauai and staying here was a nice treat. In hindsight, f we could have spent the whole two weeks there, I think it would've been worth it. Just the same, watching the waves from the deck and seeing the stars at night reach almost down to the horizon... wow. The view from the shower window is pretty cool too. We both enjoyed our stay there, the hosts were especially nice and helpful, and we recommend this for others. The south shore of Kauai is nice and quiet with a relaxed pace."

  • Fantastic!

"We (3) had an absolutely fantastic stay at Tradewinds cottage. It was quiet, private and safe. Lovely huge private yard. i had a rental bike and there was great cycling all around the neighborhood, plus the hiway had a really wide shoulder, and when it left beach front the hiway was not busy.. a 1 hour ride gets you to the very end of the paved road. It was close to town to run for groceries/beer. Close to a great safe beach. My 80 year old mom LOVED the hot tub!!..private and fenced.. enjoyed drinking wine under the stars. The kitchen and laundry facilities were terrific, beds were comfy. Linens/towels excellent. Owner Scott couldn't have been more accommodating. We were out and about everyday doing excursions but were so happy to get home to our quiet relaxing home away from home. Total thumbs up for Tradewinds Cottage. Jean Katie and Mae"

Kekaha Travel Tips

Relax in Kekaha Vacation Rentals

Kekaha vacation rentals are a reality for visitors looking for a place to lay their weary heads during their Kauai travel. Kekaha is an area located on the island of Kauai and Kekaha Beach is a popular attraction for visitors to the area. The white sandy beaches stretch for miles and for those who do not wish to sunbathe or frolic in the water, Kekaha is also a popular fishing spot.

Kekaha Vacation Rentals Offer Comfort and Convenience

Kekaha vacation rentals offer the comfort and convenience of a private residence. While Kekaha Beach is a popular spot, it is still a beach that is unspoiled by noisy crowds, so is the perfect complement to beach goers who are on vacation to relax. Kekaha beach rentals sit steps from beach access, with some condominiums and single-family homes offering views of the red tint that the beach water often takes on in Kekaha Beach. Most Kekaha vacation rentals offer kitchens that are fully equipped, furnished living room and dining room areas and private one, two or more bedrooms.

Things to Do In Kekaha

Kekaha offers plenty of amenities inside of your vacation rental, but there are also a variety of activities to enjoy outside of it too. Outdoors sporting activities such as swimming, surfing, body boarding, fishing and paddling are but a few of the water activities visitors of all ages can enjoy. Walks on the beach—especially during the sunrise and sunset—are other popular activities to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian weather. Families flock to Kekaha for its pristine beaches, tight-knit community and other family-friendly activities. As the fourth largest island in Hawaii, you always have the option to venture out to other parts of the island for kayaking on the Wailua River, visiting other beaches such as Poipu Beach or hiking in Kokee State Park.
