"My family and I really enjoyed spending 3 nights at this ocean front, on the sunny west side of Kauai! There is sooo much to do on this side of Kauai and Kevin helped us "plan it all out". Our teenage boys were very happy to make use of the extra double mattress and boxspring each night AND not have to share the sofa couch! Kevin even had tons of beach equipment to "share" when we spent the day at Polihale State Park....sunset and all! This house is in the perfect location for exploring Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park. It is even walking distance to the Small Boat Harbor...where we took an amazing Na Pali Coast boat ride w/ The Na Pali Experience...snorkling AND going through sea caves too! We even took a day to drive north to Hanalei Bay...enjoying MANY sights along the way! It was so nice to return to our oceanfront property each evening, after being "on the go" each day. The best part of all...the ocean would "sing" us to sleep" and the tradewinds kept us cool!"

"The Blue Lotus is the place to stay. VERY CLEAN AND PERFECT. The house had everything, the rooms were perfect, the kitchen, laundry room, beach stuff, grill, table & chairs and even an outside shower to rinse off after the beach. For a nice sunset view you much sit outside on the porch with your cocktails beautiful. All you need is your personal items and food. It was the perfect place to stay and mins. away from the Race Track in Mana where we were going to for the 4th of July races. I wanted to thank Mr. Worner for making everything very simple and for his prompt responds. We love this place and will be back in September 2015. I highly recommend staying here."

"We absolutely loved this cottage! Although the West side of the island tends to be a bit warmer and less rainy, this spot is tourist free and old-style island living. As a returning resident of the islands, I wouldn't want a condo or hotel. We loved the privacy of the grounds, the plumeria and banana trees and the hibiscus hedges screening the front.
The outdoor shower was wonderful! Nothing like being under blue Hawaiian skies, watching the clouds, palm trees and Monarch butterflies in the Crown Flower bushes from the lot behind the unit.
The interior of the unit was very welcoming. The living area was so relaxing at the end of the day, and the bed in the "master" was wonderful. We loved the breezes flowing through the room each night. I loved the kitchen...the restoration made me feel like I was back in Old Hawaii. I felt like I was "home".
The beach is within walking distance, but this is not your average swimming beach. During our stay, the waters were pretty rough, but we made use of the shore by walking and watching sunsets with Niihau Island in the background. Other swimming beaches will require a drive. This was not an issue for us.
The unit was supplied with everything you would need to enjoy your stay; towels, water fun gear, full kitchen and more.
We went to the Kauai Coffee Plantation, Koloa Rum Company, Waimea Canyon, Kalalau Valley overlook, Wailua Falls (saw a wild pua'a) and Poipu Beach. We would recommend Brennecke's Beach Broiler for dinner in Poipu. Get there for Happy Hour and sunset. Great Mai Tais, food and service! Ka;apake Joe's in Waimea was good, too!
We would definitely return here in the future! I'm missing the roosters crowing in the morning..."

"Lovely place to stay, we felt at home from the first second, it’s rural but comfortable and tidy. There is everything you need for a perfect vacation, Sarah (the janitor) is very helpful just in case. The location is ideal, it’s the sunny and quiet side of the island, not crowded, you will feel back in the good old times. Close to Waimea Canyon (hiking), lovely Waimea town (food, restaurants), Salt Pond Beach Park (top!) and the huge Polihale Beach there is everything you need for a perfect stay just within a short ride. But there’s no need to drive to meet your “private” beach, you can hear it from the lanai. Living between the locals, the neighborhood is quiet and the school across the street won’t bother you after school time. We’ll be back next year because it’s such a friendly home in paradise. Recommended for: Nature lovers, quiet vacation, to relax."
