  • The Dream Home for a Dream Vacation

"My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on the sunny, west side of Kaua'i. This turned into the dream vacation for us from the moment we set eyes on the Hale' Laguna. The location is absolutely fabulous. There are spacious upper and lower decks from which I could literally throw a stone into the ocean. The ocean tides afforded 40-50 feet of soft, sandy beach directly in front of the home. After using chairs, boogie boards, and other beach gear provided with the home we showered off at the outdoor shower prior to entering the home. Once inside the home you will find it is obvious the owners spared no expense in making this home comfortable. The interior design and decorations are impeccably perfect for this beach scene. Master rooms and on-suites on both levels are beautiful. Living areas on both levels are comfortable and serene. Linens and towels are high quality fabric. The fully stocked kitchen and outdoor gas grill made it easy to produce any meal, and - most importantly - refreshing Pina Coladas! Perhaps the most memorable of all was sleeping to the sound of crashing waves, waking to a stunning view, observing awesome sunsets, and gazing at starry night skies. Although there really is no need to go anywhere, the drive to enjoy the island's sightseeing and tourist activities was only 30-60 minutes, which we found to be very pleasant. Returning home to the Hale' Laguna made it all the better. I would sum it all up with a breathtaking WOW! -- Enjoy --we certainly did!"

  • Excellent vacation experience!

"This property was a wonderful surprise. "Plantation" says it all -- the house was vintage and sprawling. It was extremely well kept and stocked with all the amenities/comforts of home. And with 5000 feet on one level and 12-foot ceilings, it all felt absolutely spacious. The veranda was a perfect spot for our family to gather over drinks to watch surfers, whales, and sunsets. We had a group of 9 adults, and the house was perfect with the setup for each family to have their own private space including a bathroom. We cooked breakfasts and dinners at the house nearly every day - the cupboards were so well stocked that we never ran out of clean coffee mugs or wine glasses! Walks on the nearly private beach provided daily excursions and shell-searching. The expansive lawn also provided a feeling of space and luxury -- a welcome change after spending a few days in Waikiki in throngs of tourists. We even bought a frisbee to take advantage of the space! Even before we arrived in Kauai, our experience with this rental was very positive. The rental agent and the owner were very responsive to inquiries, providing pictures and much more information than expected. Some in our group had late flights out on our day of departure and they were very accommodating to arrange a late checkout from the property. (The only thing that would have made the week better was if roosters really only crowed at dawn! ;-) If (when?) we visit Kauai again, we would definitely return to this property!"

  • Quiet plantation house convenient to West Shore and Waimea Canyon

"We (a family of four) stayed here for two short days to be close to Waimea Canyon. House was spacious, quiet and well equipped. Had a nice cottage feel to it, very relaxing. The location is excellent for exploring Waimea Canyon, and close to the small boat harbour where we took a tour of Na Pali coast (we can highly recommend Liko Kauai Tours). Very close to the beach but we didn't visit the beach this time. If you want a relaxing stay away from the hustle of the resort areas, this is the place. we would definitely like to stay here again for a longer visit next time. Waimea is close by with places to eat, groceries and souvenirs. This is the dry side of the island. If you are afraid of clouds this is a safer location than North or East. Having said that, we also stayed in Princeville and liked that too, but this place had a much more authentic feel to it. Looking forward to coming back."

  • WOW!!! What a great rental!

"The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable. If you are looking to sit on the beach, relax and watch the sunset every night, this is the perfect rental. It is a short, one block walk, and your feet are already in the sand! I have been to Kauai on 3 different trips and this location is the best. Completely away from the road noise and crowds on the east side. It is also super close to either road up to Waimea Canyon and the Kalalau Valley lookout. If it is cloudy one day, you can just drive up again the next!! This house has EVERYTHING, down to a cheese grater and ice cream scoop. (which we used every day!) Unlike most rentals that do not have more than 4 forks. Washer, dryer, clothes line, grill, beach towels and chairs…the list goes on and on and on. Cannot wait to rent this one again!!!"
