  • Kala Beach Cottage

"My sister stayed at this lovely cottage a year ago so when we planned our vacation getaway we chose the same cottage due to her positive experience. The cottage is well furnished and equipped with everything you need. It's a home away from home. We utilized all of the beach supplies (chairs, towels, sand toys for the kids) and snorkeling gear. You can't beat a one minute walk from the to what was our own seemingly private beach. Salt pond beach had the best place to snorkel with the reef that keeps the water calm. The backyard is perfect to relax. Fruit trees flowering trees on the property are stunning. We are sure to revisit the cottage. Mahalo!"

  • Beautiful Hawaii

"We spent 10 days with another couple at this property. It was wonderful. From the moment that we stepped in the door we felt like home. The lanai is where we spent most of our time, morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and watching the fabulous sunsets. The second and third bedrooms are separate from the main part of the home and this was a great feature. It gave each couple lots of privacy. The beach was spectacular. Love the fact that it is not busy, beautiful pristine sand and great for those long walks. We did a helicopter ride around the island, rode bikes 12 miles down through the canyon (both of these activities got the heart rate up!!) did a sunset dinner cruise, a luau, golf and spent lots of time playing in the waves at the various beaches. Chad was great to deal with and make the arrangements very simple and convenient. We are already looking at plans to return!"

  • Beautiful Home and Location!

"This was our first time to Kauai - and our children's (age 11 & 13) first time to Hawaii! Hale Laguna is a beautiful home and it is a relaxing retreat to come "home" to after exploring the beautiful island of Kauai. We enjoyed being on the sunny west side of the island, enjoyed the local eats in Waimea, and appreciated being close enough to activities but not in the middle of the tourist craziness. Kekaha has beautiful beaches and gorgeous sunsets that you can enjoy from the home lanai's or from the beach across the way. Also from the lanai, we were able to see whales, watch kite surfers in the distance, enjoy the local fisherman at the beach, and see the forbidden island of Niihau. The home is beautifully furnished and has everything you can think of needing (outdoor shower, full size washer & dyer, beach chairs & mats, comfortable beds & bedding, 2 large bathrooms/showers, outdoor and indoor comfortable eating areas, etc). We did purchase some boogie boards at Costco and left them at the home for others to enjoy (there were already a few there). Scott did an excellent job communicating with us and we strongly recommend this vacation home! Some of our favorite activities and places include: Ishihara Market (Waimea - lunch plate & local market), Jo Jo's Avenue (Waimea - Shave Ice), Island Taco & Shrimp Factory (Waimea) & the market across the street for fresh fruit, Lappert's (Hanapepe - ice cream), Kalaheo Cafe & Coffee Company (Kalaheo - breakfast), Keoki's Paradise (Poipu Beach - must have Hula Pie!), Kalapaki Beach Hut (Lihue) - Waimea Canyon (drive up from Waimea and drive down to Kekaha), Aloha Exchange (boutique local surf shop), Surf Lessons (we use Kauai Surf School & did 3 days of lessons - Amazing!), helicopter tour of the island (we used Blue Hawaiian), Zip Line (we used Skyline Eco Adventures), Na Pali Boat tour & snorkeling (we used Holo Holo Charter), and enjoying the beaches in Kekaha for boogie boarding & walking on the beach. We even enjoyed a day driving up to the North shore and stopping at different beaches & sights along the way. Hale Laguna was the perfect way to end each day - we truly felt at home while on vacation."

  • Quiet plantation house convenient to West Shore and Waimea Canyon

"We (a family of four) stayed here for two short days to be close to Waimea Canyon. House was spacious, quiet and well equipped. Had a nice cottage feel to it, very relaxing. The location is excellent for exploring Waimea Canyon, and close to the small boat harbour where we took a tour of Na Pali coast (we can highly recommend Liko Kauai Tours). Very close to the beach but we didn't visit the beach this time. If you want a relaxing stay away from the hustle of the resort areas, this is the place. we would definitely like to stay here again for a longer visit next time. Waimea is close by with places to eat, groceries and souvenirs. This is the dry side of the island. If you are afraid of clouds this is a safer location than North or East. Having said that, we also stayed in Princeville and liked that too, but this place had a much more authentic feel to it. Looking forward to coming back."
