  • INCREDIBLE & RELAXING HOME AWAY FROM HOME

"Having frequently travelled to and stayed at other condo's in Kihei this was by far the most enjoyable. One couldn't find a better condo to enjoy all the amenities of a home away from home. We truly felt comfortable and at home during the three weeks. Everything was perfect!!! We very much appreciated in which you chose to design and coordinated the furnishings, accessories, including the various pictures/wall light in kitchen, etc. for your renovations. We were also very impressed as to how "everything" was provided for the convenience of your guests. We had actually made a list of what we needed to buy for our enjoyment and personal use. I/We were in disbelief to see that we didn't have to incur any additional expenses. My wife, who arrived late at night on the 22nd, was overwhelmed by the condo and the amazing view when she opened the blinds in the kitchen the next morning. We loved sitting on the lanai early mornings and late afternoons & evenings enjoying the peacefulness of the area and the ocean view. Everything one could ask for...Shops of Wailea, beaches, restaurants, Wailea tennis and golf clubs...were a walk or less than a few minutes drive from this central location in Wailea. The condo is very well equipped for the comfort and convenience of their guests. This should be one's first choice when traveling to Maui."

  • Loved the stay!

"My husband and I were there for 3 days before our adult daughter joined us. The condo was comfortable and plenty of room for the three of us. The pool was closed for maintenance during the time we were there , but this was not a problem for us...we weren't there to swim in the pool. The view from the lanai was beautiful, both in the morning and the evening. Although we had a rental car to see the whole island, walking to the beach, restaurants and ABC stores was easy. We were right at home and felt very secure in the condo and the parking building."

  • Good stay and very Nice view

"Appartement idéalement situé dans honolulu, proche de toutes commodités et aéroport sans ses nuisances. Magnifique vue sur la mer. Très bien équipé même s'il nous a manqué une table pour manger confortablement, très propre et pratique. Nous sommes prêts à relouer ce studio et le conseillons vivement."

  • Great place to stay in maui!

"I recently spent 6 day staying here, and could not have been happier. Maalea is nice and quiet, not really a hub for tourists, but has just enough content to make it work. The view from this condo is wonderful, especially at sunrise, looking across the bay and watching the surf. There is a great little section just outside by the harbor breakwall that is good for kids to play in, or in the pool which is very well maintained, just like all of the Milowai property. At the other end of the street is a public park, with a long section of beach good for spotting sea turtles, or just relaxing. The location is ideal, since you can be anywhere on the island in under 45 minutes. As for the condo itself, there are lots of little things that made it great. If u need a corkscrew, you'll find one, boogie board for the beach, in the closet, beach chairs, on the deck, beach towels, in the closet, tour guide on the end table. The list goes on and on, Ron & Shirly Gess have added alot of extras that my friends who stayed a few condos down the street, and paid alot more for, were missing. Having a safe in the room came in handy as well, not that it seemed necessary, but i like to lock things up. Just take a picture on your phone of the combination instructions for reference. This condo has alot to offer, and i found my stay very comfortable. I would recommend going grocery shopping before you get there outside of Maalea, as the gereral store has a very limited selection and is a bit pricey. If i were going back to Maui I would not hesitate to book this condo again, it was a great stay in a wonderful place. Aloha!"

Lanai Travel Tips

The Stuff Holidays are Made of at Lanai Vacation Rentals

Imagine framing the rock cliffs of Lanai, Hawaii in your camera. The unhurried pace allows plenty of opportunities for leisurely activities in a place that inspires daydreams. If you can dream up a watersport, relaxing activity, or view, Lanai vacation rentals will be the place to find this reality. Lanai is one of the smaller Hawaiian Islands as it's only 18 miles in length and 13 miles wide. As someone said, “There are no traffic lights, and this is how the people of Lanai like it.” It is a whole other world on Lanai and most definitely different from Maui which is eight miles away.

Pragmatic Details About Lanai Beach Rentals

Getting to Lanai can be a bit of a concern because it is impossible to fly directly to the island from the lower 48 states or Alaska. Instead, you must travel to Maui and either take a boat or small plane to Lanai City. Once on the island, you may want a rental car to move around to the various locations. Lanai City and Koele are the major cities of the island. Lanai City has a population of 3,193 which does not even make it a city in most people’s eyes but rather a quaint town. Temperatures will remain between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit year-round with about 37 inches of rainfall a year. Lanai City is a bit cooler because of the mountain elevation but you still have shorts-wearing weather to enjoy.

Lanai Condos Near the Golf Clubs

The finest golfing to be found on the island is located in Koele and Manele which are close to some of the Lanai condo locations. The courses are world-class in their championship set-up. If you do not golf, do not worry as there are plenty of activities for non-golfers on the island. Nature-lovers will enjoy the pine Munro Trail where you can lose yourself in the peaceful and well conserved forest. It is possible to look out at the ocean for Spinner dolphins from Hulopoe Bay. They are one of the more aerobatic species of dolphin, granting you a scene that is hard to witness in any other state. If there are no dolphins, spend your time looking in the tide pools for other sea creatures or take a snorkel trip out to the reefs. Diving is a must for anyone who wishes to view the crystal-clear waters from below and the amazingly stocked reefs. Lanai is home to Shipwreck Beach, named for the WWII-era ship that is trapped there.

Historical Sites Found on Lanai

Nature is not the only attraction one can find on Lanai. There are four historical sites you should travel to in between hammock naps and surfing the waves. Lanaihale is a trail which takes you up the 3,370-foot mountain named after George Munro. Munro planted pine trees along the trail. These pine trees came from New Zealand. From the hiking or driving trail, you can spot Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and Kahoolawe. Keahikawelo or the Garden of the Gods is another remarkable feature of Lanai due to the rock tower formations. Those who have visited the area say the garden of rock towers glows in the sunset. Manele Harbor provides more than beautiful views and boats, as it is home to the largest collection of petroglyphs. Finally, for historical sites, there is Kaunolu Village. It was once the favored fishing area for King Kamehameha I. Today, you are able to see the ruins of the village which left behind 85 house platforms and a religious temple.

Cuisines and Fresh Fish on Lanai

Lanai Beach rentals ensure that you have a fully equipped kitchen for cooking fresh fish and seafood you catch during the day. However, if you are ready for something a little different, you can visit the city’s restaurants with their authentic Hawaiian dishes. Many will have a Pacific bent like the Filipino dishes common on the Hawaiian islands.
