"We spent a few weeks January and February in this nice unit. When we read about the divider separating the main bedroom from the living area, we were a bit concerned, but the bedroom area is actually very spacious with a king sized bed and ample room on either side. The double lanai is great with wall to wall views from the living room and main bedroom, and ocean waves lulled us to sleep every night. It was breezy and never too hot while we were there. The couch and chair look new, are very comfortable and I believe pull out to an additional bed. There is lots of storage area. The bathrooms are newly re-done. The building is well maintained and we were very comfortable there, in a more apartment-like vs resort-like setting. Previous guests left a warm note in the unit guestbook expressing similar satisfaction and describing it like "staying in your favourite aunt and uncle's home." The kitchen has everything you need and the appliances are clean and function well but are dated. I'm not fond of carpeting and there is burber in the bedrooms and living area. There was a nice desk, and lots of supplies for the beach..chairs, cooler, umbrella, everything you need. The buildings on this street have good quick access to Sugar Beach, which is next to a wildlife preserve, very quiet and lovely for long walks. The pool was well maintained and larger than most in the vicinity, but it was still a bit small, wrapped in concrete walls and didn't open till 9. Our first time there, we want to return to Ma'alaea, centrally located, and quieter than other areas. Rental arrangement was a breeze with Barbara and she was very helpful while we were there. We had the best and most relaxing vacation ever in this cozy unit."
