  • With Thanks and Appreciation

"The good reviews prompted my wife and I to spend the first 9 nights of our 4 weeks in Hawaii to escape the wintry weather back home. I agree with the positive comments of the many reviewers, so I see no need to add to theirs. Compared to the other VRBO units from other places we had stayed during our travels, this unit is very spacious for the two of us. It was aged but clean, well-supplied and maintained. The welcome package of goodies was thoughtful and the starter supplies of soap and detergents were appreciated. The binoculars provided enabled us to watch the turtles a few yards from the shoreline. They were probably feeding on the algae. We expected to do a lot of snorkeling, however, we found out that the water temperature was cold and the waves were strong this time of the year. When we took an excursion to Molokini and Turtletown on a calm day. While onboard, the crew recommended wet suits rental; and since I always use a skin suit, I did not feel it was necessary to rent one. On my first entry into the water, it was very cold and I was shivering, however, since I swim for exercise, my body became acclimated in a couple of minutes and I was able to enjoy the waters. A comment in the condo guestbook was that there were more were more people than fish was not much of an exaggeration, however, I marveled at the clarity of the water to a depth of 100+ ft. The next stop at Turtletown was a bust as the water was wavy and murky and above all, no turtles. We visited Lanai, but there was not much there. We loved the Upcountry Farmers Market at the Kulamalu Town Center Hwy 37 near Long’s Drugs, Pukalani/Kula. On the Road to Hana, we love the Waianapanapa State Park - Hana Hwy past mile marker 32 before getting the Haleakala National Park, Hana. One can swim and snorkel at the State Park which is free. My wife and I enjoyed our time and stay in Maui in a wonderful place; and we thank Barbara for her answers to questions, assistance and communication."

  • A little piece of Paradise

"We love this condo! It is bright, clean, comfortable, well equipped and beautifully furnished. The Lanai is our favorite spot...facing the ocean where you can see the boats leave the harbour, watch for whales and observe turtles in the bay...all from comfortable swivel rocking chairs! The art work adds a special touch throughout! The location is one of the best on the island, allowing easy routes to wherever you wish to explore. Inside the condo there are pamphlets, maps and a guest book with personal comments from other guests...a valuable source of information regarding things to see and do. The beautiful pool adds an alternative to the beach and the large, well maintained BBQs (2) provide a pleasant alternative to restauants and indoor cooking. We have stayed here three times and will always make this our first choice on future visits to Maui. It is the perfect home away from home!"

  • Great Location on Maui.

"Thanks for providing an accessible condo in a wonderful location of Maalaea. Difficult to describe the pleasure of watching whales and sea turtles from the uncrowded lawn next to the beach on the property. Loved grilling on the three burner Weber grills in the evening as well. My wife is a C5/C6 quad and the roll-in-shower was wonderful. I plan on returning in two years."

  • Awesome condo

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo for six weeks and had a simply awesome time. We love to stay in Maaalea because of location on the island, but have to say this was by far the best decorated condo, very ocean and very comfortable. The view was amazing, watched whales and turtles all day. We took advantage of the long beach for morning walks, however a couple of very strong storms made the small beach in front of condo disappear, so had to go off wall on the far left side. (not hard to to do) Would recommend this condo to anyone, from couples to small families. Jade was great to work with!"
