  • A Real Gem

"We had a wonderful time staying in this condo for two weeks. This water-front unit is on the 3rd floor of a very well managed condominium. The grounds with pool and BBQ were immaculately kept and there was onsite parking for our rental car. The other owners in the building were very friendly and the onsite manager was easy to get hold of - both were helpful with information which greatly enhanced our excursions and dining experience of this island The condo was very well-equipped and clean. It had every amenity that one could need to be comfortable and to feel at home. It has a good sized balcony with an amazing 180 degree view of the ocean, together with the sound of the waves. It was my favorite spot for meditation. The location of the condo in a no-through road is pleasantly tranquil. With direct access to a small sandy beach in front of the condo and a 2 minute walk to a larger sandy beach at the end of the street, we were able to enjoy a walk and swim every day. Being so centrally located, we were able to make day trips to see every attractions of the island and to dine in the many great restaurants that Maui has to offer. Our favorites restaurants included: The Maalaer Waterfront and Beach Bum (both in walking distance from the condo), Pulehu @ The Westin and Hula Grill in Kaáapali and Café O’Lei in Kihei, which are in easy driving distance. Being a first-time visitor to this island, the numerous travel guides/tourist information brochures on Maui kept in the condo enabled us to experience Maui to the fullest. We were very happy with this “ideal home away from home” and will be recommending this condo to our friends back home."

  • It's better than being at home!!!

"My husband, daughter and I wanted to stay at a place that was in a central location and had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. This condo was an excellent choice. It was better than being at home. It is exceptional clean and has a wonderful ocean view lanai which we will truly miss. The owners paid attention to every detail to the place to create a very beautiful, comfortable and warm environment. The Maui Aquarium is within walking distance. By car, you are 15 minutes away from Maui's airport, Walmart and Kmart or 10 minutes from Safeway. Go to Kaanapali beach (next to Whaler's Village or Sheraton) or Kapahula Beach in Napili for mild calm beaches for beginning snorkelers or young children. There are plenty of other beaches for boarders or surfers. Stay here if you want to truly relax and hear the sound of the ocean waves. However, be wakened by Maui's gentle morning rays. If you must, you can even bring your work since the condo has wifi. A minor thing to be aware of that shouldn't prevent you from staying here is the tradewinds. The area has high winds which can cause the doors to your car or front entrance to blow open quite suddenly. We want to truly thank Stephanie Stark, Vacation Rentals Concierge for being an exceptional liason. She promptly answered all of my emails. The completion of all the paperwork was smooth and efficient. She went out of her way to help us out when we locked ourselves out of the condo. We felt horrible that she had to drive over an hour to help us out on a Friday evening. She gave up her evening to assist us at a time of need. She is truly THE BEST!!! We are very grateful to her! Thank you again for a remarkable experience. We would love to come back!"

Maalaea Travel Tips

Enjoy Maalaea Vacation Rentals in Central Maui

Maalaea is a district located in Central Maui, which is six miles from Wailuku. You'll find Ma'alaea where Honoapi'ilani Highway, also known as Highway 30, meets the south coast. This prime location makes it a favorite hot spot for tourists. Tourists looking to emerge themselves in the culture and society of Maui often choose one of the Maalaea vacation rentals available on the island--allowing them the comforts of home surrounded by the locals.

The Comfort of Maalaea Vacation Rentals

Maalaea vacation rentals range from Central Maui beach rentals to Maalaea condos, so there is an accommodation to fit almost any need and taste in the area. Central Maui beach rentals offer guests direct access to the beach, sun, water activities and more. Most of the Central Maui beach rentals are Maalaea condos, with some running along Maalaea Bay. Other rental options include single-family homes, which offer you the chance to mingle with the locals and still find private respite in your home when the mingling is over.

Ma'alaea Beach Fun

One of the primary attractions for visitors is Ma'alaea Beach. Ma'alaea Beach is three miles long, stretching from Ma'alaea Harbor to Sugar Beach on the east. Visitors to the beach do not tend to flock Ma'alaea Beach for relaxing in the sand and sun. On the contrary, Ma'alaea Beach is known for high winds, which makes it a prime location for surfing the big waves and windsurfing. When you come in out of the sun (and the wind), you can enjoy a meal you've made in your full-equipped Maalaea vacation rental or take a nap in one of the private bedrooms. For nights when cooking isn't on the agenda, restaurants, cafes and shops are readily available. Buzz's Wharf Restaurant is a local favorite along with The Blue Marlin and Bamboo Bistro.
