  • Paradise!

"This was our second stay at this wonderful condo and it definitely won't be our last. It is the the best unit in the complex. While this condo is centrally located and a great base from which to explore Maui, you will be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy the coastline. You are literally right on the water here and, unlike many of the complexes listed in this area, there are miles of white sand to walk on. Sitting on the lani in this 4th floor unit is great for watching surfers and passing boats. This trip we were twice visited by turtles who came to play in the waves just below us."

  • Location, Grounds, Pool, Paradise!

"Our family of four (mom, dad, girl 13, boy 11) spent 15 wonderful nights at this condo, and everything was just fantastic. So easy to get there from the airport, down a quiet dead-end street, with very little traffic. Lots of parking, and beautifully kept grounds greeted our arrival. A quick elevator ride and in the door, and we all stood at the lanai doors, taking in the postcard view. Stunning!! This condo has all the amenities desired for a short or long stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen, fridge with ice maker (a must!), wifi, and a huge TV. Twin beds for the kids, and their own bathroom. There is a supply of boogie boards, sand mats, beach toys, umbrellas, and tons of towels. The pool and barbecue area were always pristine, and a few steps farther and you are at the ocean. Ma'alaea Bay is a very calm, shallow beach, with hardly any undertow, and smaller waves, great for young children. As many reviewers have pointed out, the location of this condo is perfect, as it's a short drive to Lahaina, Kihei, Wailuku, or Kahului. We would pack up the cooler and head off to explore new beaches or take a road trip one day, then stay back at the condo and have the place to ourselves the next. The nearby marina hosts a variety of shops and restaurants, from fast food to a full meal deal (we recommend Buzz's Wharf, Beach Bums', and Porto Pizza), as well as the Pacific Whale Foundation and others for whale watching tours, snorkelling, and sunset cruises. The Maui Ocean Centre is also located here, and is well worth a tour. We took in the mini golf and bumper boats one lazy afternoon; the kids loved it!! We never needed any help from the condo manager, but he was always around the building through the week. Oscar the groundskeeper was always on the job, too, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. We had a storm one night with heavy rain and strong winds, which knocked down a lot of palm leaves, and by noon the next day, you would never have known it. Enes was a pleasure to deal with, and could always be reached via email or on the phone. I would not hesitate to stay here again if (who am I kidding - WHEN) we come back to Maui. Mahalo, eh!!"

  • Excellent accomodations!

"We had an absolutely wonderful time. You have offered such a blessing for others with the accommodations you are willing to share. From the beautiful and comfortable living environment, to the crushed ice maker, the up-to-date modern bathrooms, the individual air conditioner units; I obviously could go on and on! "Thank you!" We will highly recommend your condo to others!"

  • Now I'm spoiled because once I've been here to paradise, I have to come back!

"My wife and I spent the month of March 2014 at this wonderful condo. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The view over the bay was fantastic. From the whales and dolphins frolicking out in the bay in front of the condo to the sea turtles at the shoreline that came in to feed during low tide. There was always something to watch. When we weren't watching the whales, the curl of the "freight train" always caught our attention. The unit itself was a pleasure to stay in. Tim made sure we had EVERYTHING that we could possibly need to make our stay fun and comfortable. It was obvious to us from the beginning of our stay that Tim and his wife went to great lengths to ensure their guests would have a most memorable time staying in their condo. The décor was very comfortable and tastefully Hawaiian, reaffirming daily that we weren't dreaming but really in the Aloha State. The supplied beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, snorkel gear etc were used often as we journeyed to the one of the plentiful nearby beaches. A short walk and we were at our favourite tiki bar ("Beach Bums") to meet up at the bar with the many nice folks we had met throughout the month. Frequently, to top off our day, there was nothing more relaxing to us than sitting on the balcony in the evening gazing over to admire the night lights of Kihei, the town across the bay, while listening to the waves below us lapping and at times crashing at the shore. All this coupled with the gentle breezes and we were in our glory. What a great holiday Tim. I rarely give a 5 star rating but given the wonderful accommodations, the ease of the rental procedure the fact that it was everthing it was advertised to be ( and then some) I felt I had to. Mahalo Tim and we can't wait to return."

Maalaea Travel Tips

Enjoy Maalaea Vacation Rentals in Central Maui

Maalaea is a district located in Central Maui, which is six miles from Wailuku. You'll find Ma'alaea where Honoapi'ilani Highway, also known as Highway 30, meets the south coast. This prime location makes it a favorite hot spot for tourists. Tourists looking to emerge themselves in the culture and society of Maui often choose one of the Maalaea vacation rentals available on the island--allowing them the comforts of home surrounded by the locals.

The Comfort of Maalaea Vacation Rentals

Maalaea vacation rentals range from Central Maui beach rentals to Maalaea condos, so there is an accommodation to fit almost any need and taste in the area. Central Maui beach rentals offer guests direct access to the beach, sun, water activities and more. Most of the Central Maui beach rentals are Maalaea condos, with some running along Maalaea Bay. Other rental options include single-family homes, which offer you the chance to mingle with the locals and still find private respite in your home when the mingling is over.

Ma'alaea Beach Fun

One of the primary attractions for visitors is Ma'alaea Beach. Ma'alaea Beach is three miles long, stretching from Ma'alaea Harbor to Sugar Beach on the east. Visitors to the beach do not tend to flock Ma'alaea Beach for relaxing in the sand and sun. On the contrary, Ma'alaea Beach is known for high winds, which makes it a prime location for surfing the big waves and windsurfing. When you come in out of the sun (and the wind), you can enjoy a meal you've made in your full-equipped Maalaea vacation rental or take a nap in one of the private bedrooms. For nights when cooking isn't on the agenda, restaurants, cafes and shops are readily available. Buzz's Wharf Restaurant is a local favorite along with The Blue Marlin and Bamboo Bistro.
