  • A slice of Paradise

"This was our second time staying here, the first time was with the family and the second time was just my husband and I. It is what you want a vacation to be. The condo is welcoming and the view is fabulous! We were there both times for the whales and waking up in the morning with your coffee in bed and see the whales breaching at a distance is nothing that you can imagine you have to see. The location of the condo is great. Centrally located out of the hustle and bustle of the other cities but convenient enough to were driving is not far from anything! The condo owners have done a great job to make you feel at home compete with a fully stocked kitchen, towels, and things needed for the beach! I almost don't want to write a review because I feel as if I am giving up one of the best kept secrets in Maui!"

  • It's better than being at home!!!

"My husband, daughter and I wanted to stay at a place that was in a central location and had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. This condo was an excellent choice. It was better than being at home. It is exceptional clean and has a wonderful ocean view lanai which we will truly miss. The owners paid attention to every detail to the place to create a very beautiful, comfortable and warm environment. The Maui Aquarium is within walking distance. By car, you are 15 minutes away from Maui's airport, Walmart and Kmart or 10 minutes from Safeway. Go to Kaanapali beach (next to Whaler's Village or Sheraton) or Kapahula Beach in Napili for mild calm beaches for beginning snorkelers or young children. There are plenty of other beaches for boarders or surfers. Stay here if you want to truly relax and hear the sound of the ocean waves. However, be wakened by Maui's gentle morning rays. If you must, you can even bring your work since the condo has wifi. A minor thing to be aware of that shouldn't prevent you from staying here is the tradewinds. The area has high winds which can cause the doors to your car or front entrance to blow open quite suddenly. We want to truly thank Stephanie Stark, Vacation Rentals Concierge for being an exceptional liason. She promptly answered all of my emails. The completion of all the paperwork was smooth and efficient. She went out of her way to help us out when we locked ourselves out of the condo. We felt horrible that she had to drive over an hour to help us out on a Friday evening. She gave up her evening to assist us at a time of need. She is truly THE BEST!!! We are very grateful to her! Thank you again for a remarkable experience. We would love to come back!"

  • Fabulous Condo in a beautiful area

"We stayed in Lauloa 309 in Maalaea for five nights in mid June. The condo was exceptional. It was very clean, very nice and updated, and had everything we could possibly need. The view from the lanai is spectacular. We didn't see any whales because of the time of year, but we watched a lot surfers. Check-in and check-out were completely painless. We just found the unit and entered the door code we had been sent when we reserved it. Checkout was equally easy. The only downside to the unit was that the air conditioner was loud and it was pretty hot the week we were there so we did need to run it at night. It wasn't something you couldn't sleep through, but if you're a light sleeper it might bother you. I think we were just there at a particularly hot time, though. (And the beds were really comfortable so I'm sure that helped!) The immediate area doesn't have much in the way of restaurants. There is the General Store and a couple of small places near the marina. Most nights we went into Kihei to eat, which is about 15(ish) minutes away. The other thing that might be an issue for some people is the beach, which is a 5-minute walk down the road to the left, is pretty rocky under the water and you don't always see them. We had to go buy bandaids after swimming there because everyone ended up getting slammed into them at some point. Maybe we just needed to find a different spot. The water was also particularly rough while we were there (a south swell that lasted longer than usual), so maybe that had something to do with it as well. But overall, we loved the place. The location was great for seeing the rest of the island. We also did the Four Winds Molokini snorkeling trip, which was awesome!"

  • Wonderful Maalaea Condo!

"Aloha Gene & Beth, Thank you for sharing your lovely Maalaea Bay condo with us. This was our third visit to Maui, and our second to the Banyans. Your condo was the perfect home away from home, and as the old saying goes; location, location, location! We love watching “Maui TV” i.e. sunrise & sunset over Haleakala! We spent four afternoons at Maui Ocean Center watching the jellies, turtles & spotted eagle ray. The Seascape has become our favorite restaurant! Makawao was a delightful place to spend the day. The “Old Jail” at Lahaina is still a great place to buy art. We wandered through the Botanical Gardens at Kula and then met the baby goats at Surfing Goat Dairy (great cheesecake & coffee!). Porto’s has great pizza, we recommend the Maui Mushroom. Leoda’s has very good sandwiches (2 meals per sandwich), and the best pie! Sugar Beach Bakery had wonderful savory pies and shaved ice w/ice cream. Maalaea beach and the beaches at Kihei are always wonderfully relaxing. We are looking forward to our next visit to Maui! Maholo, Candace & Chris"
