  • Living Aloha!

"We arrived to find the condo just as lovely as the photos appeared; tastefully appointed with island-style decor, without being kitschy. The unit was sparkling clean and easy to maintain for our two week stay. Everything we needed was supplied including plenty of towels and bedding. Our morning coffee and evening cocktails were enjoyed on the lanai where the unobstructed view just doesn't get any finer! This central location on Maui is away from the tourist crush of other areas and offers quick access to anywhere on the island. We would definitely stay in this high quality condo the next time we get island fever and need an escape to sunshine and aloha spirit."

  • Nice, comfortable and centrally located

"This unit is in Island Sands condos in Maalaea, which is a tiny harbor near Kihei. The location is perfect. 4 miles from Kihei, 20 min. from Kahalui (airport, Costco, WalMart, etc.). It is the windiest part of the the whole island so if winds are already high island-wide, they are super high in Maalaea. The Maui Ocean Center is there and great for kids. My grandkids (8 and 11) were talking about things they learned for days after. The pool is small but doable. The complex is next to Sugar Beach, a 7 mi. stretch that's great for walking. The park at the end of the street holds the best beach swimming area. The unit was very comfortable. One negative is there seems to be too much furniture in places, making it crowded (entry way). But the hardwood floors are so much better than carpet for beach people. You do need a car when staying here."

  • Perfect Location!

"This condo is perfectly located and is very clean and well maintained and has everything you could possibly need. It was very easy to get to from the airport. Barbara left us Banana Bread, coffee, pineapple, jelly and creamer whichh was perfect for that first breakfast on the lanai. We had fun watching the turles right out front of the condo and there is a quiet beach very close by. There is lots of brochures in the condo and lobby which made planning our sight seeing so much easier. Barbara also gave us information ahead of time which was very much appreciated. We definitely hope to go back. Mahalo!"

  • Now I'm spoiled because once I've been here to paradise, I have to come back!

"My wife and I spent the month of March 2014 at this wonderful condo. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The view over the bay was fantastic. From the whales and dolphins frolicking out in the bay in front of the condo to the sea turtles at the shoreline that came in to feed during low tide. There was always something to watch. When we weren't watching the whales, the curl of the "freight train" always caught our attention. The unit itself was a pleasure to stay in. Tim made sure we had EVERYTHING that we could possibly need to make our stay fun and comfortable. It was obvious to us from the beginning of our stay that Tim and his wife went to great lengths to ensure their guests would have a most memorable time staying in their condo. The décor was very comfortable and tastefully Hawaiian, reaffirming daily that we weren't dreaming but really in the Aloha State. The supplied beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, snorkel gear etc were used often as we journeyed to the one of the plentiful nearby beaches. A short walk and we were at our favourite tiki bar ("Beach Bums") to meet up at the bar with the many nice folks we had met throughout the month. Frequently, to top off our day, there was nothing more relaxing to us than sitting on the balcony in the evening gazing over to admire the night lights of Kihei, the town across the bay, while listening to the waves below us lapping and at times crashing at the shore. All this coupled with the gentle breezes and we were in our glory. What a great holiday Tim. I rarely give a 5 star rating but given the wonderful accommodations, the ease of the rental procedure the fact that it was everthing it was advertised to be ( and then some) I felt I had to. Mahalo Tim and we can't wait to return."

Maalaea Travel Tips

Enjoy Maalaea Vacation Rentals in Central Maui

Maalaea is a district located in Central Maui, which is six miles from Wailuku. You'll find Ma'alaea where Honoapi'ilani Highway, also known as Highway 30, meets the south coast. This prime location makes it a favorite hot spot for tourists. Tourists looking to emerge themselves in the culture and society of Maui often choose one of the Maalaea vacation rentals available on the island--allowing them the comforts of home surrounded by the locals.

The Comfort of Maalaea Vacation Rentals

Maalaea vacation rentals range from Central Maui beach rentals to Maalaea condos, so there is an accommodation to fit almost any need and taste in the area. Central Maui beach rentals offer guests direct access to the beach, sun, water activities and more. Most of the Central Maui beach rentals are Maalaea condos, with some running along Maalaea Bay. Other rental options include single-family homes, which offer you the chance to mingle with the locals and still find private respite in your home when the mingling is over.

Ma'alaea Beach Fun

One of the primary attractions for visitors is Ma'alaea Beach. Ma'alaea Beach is three miles long, stretching from Ma'alaea Harbor to Sugar Beach on the east. Visitors to the beach do not tend to flock Ma'alaea Beach for relaxing in the sand and sun. On the contrary, Ma'alaea Beach is known for high winds, which makes it a prime location for surfing the big waves and windsurfing. When you come in out of the sun (and the wind), you can enjoy a meal you've made in your full-equipped Maalaea vacation rental or take a nap in one of the private bedrooms. For nights when cooking isn't on the agenda, restaurants, cafes and shops are readily available. Buzz's Wharf Restaurant is a local favorite along with The Blue Marlin and Bamboo Bistro.
