  • Best View of Ocean in Maui

"This is definitely the best location on Maui to stay. You can go either way to all parts of the island from here. The ocean view is phenomenal and it is great to listen to the ocean at night from the main bedroom. Bed was very comfortable and it had all accessories you would need in the kitchen. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay!!!!!"

  • Exceeded our expectations!

"This was our first trip to Maui and couldn't have been luckier to have found this rental. Since it was our first trip I had no idea where to stay and figured it would be a learning experience if nothing else. Well, I learned that I made the best decision to stay here. The condo is just perfect. You will see pictures of other places that have granite counters and this or that but this place just felt like home. The views are just wonderful. The kitchen was very well stocked, everything you needed. The bed in the bedroom was nice and comfy and the closets very well stocked (towels, coolers, etc) for days at the beach or at the small beach just out back. Besides the view, one of the nicest surprises was how comfy the pull out sofabed was! I actually considered making our daughter sleep in the bedroom so we could sleep on it! Plus you get the sounds of the waves crashing at night and the cool breezes too. We had a wonderful welcome basket waiting for us in the fridge. The sunrise from Haleakala is incredible from the lanai. I saw lots of turtles and even a whale spout! The condo is not huge, but it is the perfect size for 2-3 people, maybe 4 if you don't mind having the living room as a bedroom. The condo is in a great location. It was so easy to make our way around the island from here. You also have a great little boat harbor right next door with a good pizza place and beach bar. There is also a General Store which is open for breakfast & lunch. Heard good things but we didn't eat there, this trip. Also a small store in the next building down. They are super friendly. You can also do whale watching cruises and snorkeling trips right from the harbor. We did a few tours with the Pacific Whale Foundation. If you are going to be there for a bit of time may be worth while to become a member and save on your excursions with them. Must see's/do's...the Road to Hana, get up at 2:30 AM & drive to the Haleakala Summit for sunrise (dress warmly, bundle up), Surfing Goat Dairy (if you love goats & cheese), whale watching and if you have time & are adventurous, do the drive around the southside and the north west side of Maui. CRAZY ride! Really, it is hard on the nerves and can be dangerous, but we saw great sights. Mama's Fish House in Paia was the best meal, ever. It was $$$, but worth it. Make reservations or go for lunch. We also enjoyed The Gazebo & Leoda's in Lahina. Most of all, enjoy the condo and the incredible views and relax. We will be back to stay."

  • Wonderful Maalaea Condo!

"Aloha Gene & Beth, Thank you for sharing your lovely Maalaea Bay condo with us. This was our third visit to Maui, and our second to the Banyans. Your condo was the perfect home away from home, and as the old saying goes; location, location, location! We love watching “Maui TV” i.e. sunrise & sunset over Haleakala! We spent four afternoons at Maui Ocean Center watching the jellies, turtles & spotted eagle ray. The Seascape has become our favorite restaurant! Makawao was a delightful place to spend the day. The “Old Jail” at Lahaina is still a great place to buy art. We wandered through the Botanical Gardens at Kula and then met the baby goats at Surfing Goat Dairy (great cheesecake & coffee!). Porto’s has great pizza, we recommend the Maui Mushroom. Leoda’s has very good sandwiches (2 meals per sandwich), and the best pie! Sugar Beach Bakery had wonderful savory pies and shaved ice w/ice cream. Maalaea beach and the beaches at Kihei are always wonderfully relaxing. We are looking forward to our next visit to Maui! Maholo, Candace & Chris"

  • Great condo

"We loved our three nights right on the ocean. Easy to just walk right out the sliding door to the beach. Turtles put on a daily show. King size bed very comfortable and kitchen fully stocked with equipment. For a longer term stay I would want a more comfortable couch. The futon doesn't quite cut it for seating. We would rent this condo again,"
