  • Home away from home

"We stayed in this condo for six days and five nights. Traveling with kids, especially infants, can be difficult at times. However, this condo was truly like our home away from home, providing everything we needed, unlike a normal hotel room. We were able to easily boil water and clean bottles and were even provided with a playpen and high chair. Our family also enjoyed going to the Maui Ocean Center and Maui Golf and Sports park, which are literally right down the road. This was our first family trip to Maui and we all enjoyed it!"

  • With Thanks and Appreciation

"The good reviews prompted my wife and I to spend the first 9 nights of our 4 weeks in Hawaii to escape the wintry weather back home. I agree with the positive comments of the many reviewers, so I see no need to add to theirs. Compared to the other VRBO units from other places we had stayed during our travels, this unit is very spacious for the two of us. It was aged but clean, well-supplied and maintained. The welcome package of goodies was thoughtful and the starter supplies of soap and detergents were appreciated. The binoculars provided enabled us to watch the turtles a few yards from the shoreline. They were probably feeding on the algae. We expected to do a lot of snorkeling, however, we found out that the water temperature was cold and the waves were strong this time of the year. When we took an excursion to Molokini and Turtletown on a calm day. While onboard, the crew recommended wet suits rental; and since I always use a skin suit, I did not feel it was necessary to rent one. On my first entry into the water, it was very cold and I was shivering, however, since I swim for exercise, my body became acclimated in a couple of minutes and I was able to enjoy the waters. A comment in the condo guestbook was that there were more were more people than fish was not much of an exaggeration, however, I marveled at the clarity of the water to a depth of 100+ ft. The next stop at Turtletown was a bust as the water was wavy and murky and above all, no turtles. We visited Lanai, but there was not much there. We loved the Upcountry Farmers Market at the Kulamalu Town Center Hwy 37 near Long’s Drugs, Pukalani/Kula. On the Road to Hana, we love the Waianapanapa State Park - Hana Hwy past mile marker 32 before getting the Haleakala National Park, Hana. One can swim and snorkel at the State Park which is free. My wife and I enjoyed our time and stay in Maui in a wonderful place; and we thank Barbara for her answers to questions, assistance and communication."

"This place is a secret! It is a beautiful centrally located condo on the west side of Maui. Located on a dead end street with other condos, but not near huge resorts. A quite road with low traffic. The view from the lanai offers a look at the marina, Kehei, Lanai and Molokini Crater. This location allows for quick getaways to any insland sight seeing. The trade winds keep the condo & the lanai cool day & night. We did not use the A/C at all. Great pool with excellent Weber gas BBQ's. The grounds and the unit itself are immaculate. The owners, as well as the manager & staff are very welcoming & very helpful! The King size bed is to die for!!!! We've stayed at other locations & looked at other places, but this is our GOTO spot for all of our future excursions to Maui!! We highly recommend this condo! Mahalo!"

  • Fabulous, relaxing and comfortable.

"From the moment we opened the door, this condo was perfect! Our immediate view drew us to through the comfortably appointed living area to the ocean side lanai. The condo was clean and well stocked with whatever anyone might desire for a restful beach vacation. I was a little nervous about renting directly from the owner because of all the negative info on the news about internet scams. My worries were erased when Anne spent almost 45 minutes talking and explaining the area to me by phone. Once we got there, everything was perfect! The beds were comfortable and bathrooms decorated nicely. Each bedroom had its own bath, furnished with nice linens and lots of extra paper products! Since we were travelling with friends, it gave each couple a nice place to relax after a long day of sightseeing and snorkeling. The main living area is equally comfortable. Decorations reflect the history of art and nature on the island, while the lanai allowed the warm, tropical breezes to flow through from ocean to front door. The kitchen has everything you would ever need for food preparation and cooking. We especially loved the blender, which we used for our own happy hour in the afternoons! We spent a few afternoons just hanging around the pool area and on the beautiful, carpet-like grass next to the surf. It was both peaceful and relaxing. Perhaps the best thing about this condo is the location. It is on a quiet, dead end street that eliminates lots of traffic and ends with a public park with a beautiful, sandy beach. Since it is centrally located, we were able to do many day trips to Lahaina, Iao Valley, Haleakula Park, Kihei, etc. None were more than 20 minutes away. We loved the view and were fortunate to be there during the peak whale season. In the morning, we could watch the whales breaching and playing in the surf. Upon closer look, we saw a family of sea turtles that seemed to live along the lava beach directly in front of the condo. Though it was a bit humid during the day, we kept all the windows open and never had to use the air conditioning. In the evening, the sound of waves rolling across the rocks lulled us to sleep. The only way that this place could be improved would be a laundry directly in the unit and parking in the condo parking lot. As it was, the laundry was on the same level and just two doors down. However, since that is something that the owners have no control over, I wouldn't fault them. We definitely will return! Thanks"
