"This is our 3rd time in the cottage. Each time we return, the experience gets better and better. Updates are frequently made to ensure comfort. As indicated in each of my reviews, the location of this cottage is optimal. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this cottage instantly distances you from the hotels and other resorts, which is a huge plus in my book. However, this location allows one to walk to several nearby beaches, restaurants, shops and Kalama park. There are even 4 bikes if you choose this type of transport. An added plus is that there is an urgent care just a few blocks north. During one of our visits my son had an earache and required antibiotics. This cottage is perfect for couples, friends' getaway, and families with small children/older kids/teens."

"We rented this lovely cottage in hope it really was what was shown and it did not fail at all. It's amazing. You can sit in bed and see the ocean. You'll hear it every night, no better way to fall asleep. Close to everything. It's a very private street so not a lot of car noise at all. The cottage itself is very lovely, well built, love all the angles and the space is used very wisely. You won't need any ocean toys. The chairs and umbrella came in very handy. They also provide snorkeling mask and fins, but we had brought our own. I'm really reluctant to share how nice it really is, so when we want to come back it will be available. Mahalo and Aloha"

"Once again we enjoyed being in Maui and staying at the Pineapple Suite and waking up to the sound of the doves cooing. The studio is centrally located, with easy access to the beaches, shops, and restaurants. Thank you, Megan, for organizing everything."

"Half of our ten-day Maui vacation was spent at this comfortable beach home. For our group of 9 (3 generations, ages 6 to 79), we chose this site for close access to water activities, especially snorkeling and a trip to Molokini.
The house is modern, well furnished and maintained, and the management had provided careful instructions about parking, trash pickup, and other details. Our contact was very prompt and thorough in responding to our questions.
The beach is just beyond the back lawn well supplied with palms and other trees. It is pleasant to take the furnished lawn chairs into the shade and watch the local egrets as they shuttle up and down the flyway. A small flock of chickens enjoy the freedom of the large back yard, unmarred by fences.
Don footwear on your first trip to the beach. The sandy path collects nuts and twigs dropped from the trees. While on the narrow beach watch closely and try to spot the tiny translucent crab-like sand residents as they scamper away from your path; they are invisible when not moving. Swimming and snorkeling are probably better on other stretches of Kihei beaches, but here you might see parasailers and windsurfers hot-dogging when wind and waves get lively in the afternoon.
Keep your eyes open for the geckos that are common in these climates. We detected one that seemed to hang out behind a picture on the downstairs wall, and a (different?) one that lived behind a light fixture outside below the upstairs veranda.
Kihei is warm in August and some other months. Other reviewers have written, correctly, that AC would be nice. But when you are in Hawaii, on Maui, relax and enjoy it as it is.
We all had an absolutely great time at this place. If we ever need a Maui rental home of this size, we'll be sure to consider it."
