  • Place worth coming back to

"It is a very nice condo to stay. Easy to and from and just a mile from all the good eating places. As advertised 200 yards from the beach. Nice beach to walk and close to all the place you would like to eat at. The pool and hot tub were very nice and all the people we meet at the condos were also nice. Staff was very helpful as they did direct us to a medical facilities since my wife came down with a bad sinus infection. It is a slower pace then other parts of the island as Kihei is missing some of the monster hotels. Look for the local food establishments you will not go wrong. The Catholic church a mile away had a very nice for Saturday service."

  • Holiday to Remember in a Beautiful Condo

"We were very pleased we had chosen to stay at Gem of Maui! As you enter, the building and grounds were very well maintained and the pool and hot tub were clean and a great place to relax and chat with other tenants. BBQ are was great too and there is a convenient designated parking spot. The condo itself was clean, tastefully decorated and furnished with everything we could think of (including a device for peeling pineapples and birthday candles!). Both beds were very comfortable and the lanai was large and had an exceptional view. Everything was in good working order and they were installing brand new washing machines on each floor during our stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as plenty of toilet paper, plush towels supplied and oils and S&P in the kitchen. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Having never been to Kihei I was a little worried about how our location would be, but it was convenient, with a bus stop right outside and less than 5 minute walk to restaurants and a supermarket. Although you're very close to the ocean, the beachfront is not big enough/too rocky for relaxing. There is a small sandy beach area 2 minutes' walk away but the main beaches are a bus ride/drive away. All in all, we were very pleased with the Gem of Maui and would recommend it!"

  • Maui Wowie!!!

"We stayed here for our 1st visit to Maui this July, in the Plumeria bldg. The condo was exactly as described. It is one of 12 in this building that fully face the ocean. It should be noted that every unit on this property faces towards the ocean, but most are at an angle. We traveled w/ our 2 daughters, ages 17 & 18. They stayed in the front bedroom which has an adjoining bathroom w/tub/shower & separate sink area. My husband & I took the master bedroom which also had an adjoining bathroom w/shower & separate sink area. The master bedroom has a private balcony on the corner of the unit with a view of not only the ocean, but also the volcano, Haleakala. The kitchen, dining, & living areas were also spacious. We entertained family who was in another unit & sat 8 of us comfortably in the living room. There is a larger balcony off the living room with a spectacular view of the ocean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one needs to whip up a meal. The dishwasher was also a welcome relief! There were 2 TVs; 1 in the master & 1 in the living room. There were plenty of towels & extra sheets, pillows, etc. There were even beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. available. The property also has a pool & hot tub, plus a kiddie pool. It's a quiet area with plenty of room & beautiful surroundings. There are several bbqs next to the pool area. We were not impressed with the property's sauna & decided to skip it. A laundry room is located on about every other floor. The beach is a short stroll through the back grounds of the property. While it's a bit rockier than other beaches, it is a swimmable area. There isn't a whole lot of sitting room, but it makes for a lovely stroll at sunset. Overall, this was an incredibly rewarding experience! We would highly recommend this property and this particular unit. Each unit is different, so be sure to read as much as you can before you decide on 1. You'll also want to rent a car so you can explore the town & the rest of the island. We will definitely be back!"

  • Wonderful view--wake up with the birds

"My family and I stayed over New Year's and were on Maui for my sister's wedding. The owners were extremely conscientious and very helpful. The condo is clean and spacious and we thought it was really nice to have a reserved parking space. The view was wonderful and the grounds were very pretty--the birds woke us up with their songs every morning. There is great beach access and a nice pool we would have loved to use, but we were very busy with the wedding. We would love to come back and just enjoy the condo, pool, and beach sometime. Very good location."
