"We stayed here with our two small children and will review it mostly on how it might fit for other parents:
Grounds, pool and BBQ areas are meticulously maintained and cleaned. The pool and hot tubs are cleaned it appeared every single morning. The entire pool area was sprayed down daily, the tiles were scrubbed daily.
Pool hours and rules are strictly enforced. This is definitely a pro when you worry about your kids sleep being interrupted or people have a little too much fun and disturbing other guests.
Unit temperature: We visited in June and this might be different at other times of the year, but there was a constant breeze that kept the unit pretty cool without needing air conditioning.
The closet had gear for the beach, including a couple of boogie boards, 4+ beach chairs, two sun umbrellas, a cooler with wheels, some masks and snorkels, and some tatami matts. We really appreciated having the cooler and umbrellas.
The kitchen was pretty well stocked with almost all the cookware and dinnerware you could need.
The bedrooms and bathrooms each had night lights, which was great for having kids with us.
The floors felt quite dirty when we arrived, but not in the sandy sense, more that they hadn't actually been washed in some time and our bare feet were immediately black from walking on it.
The washer and dry is in the kitchen next to the fridge, which is an awkward place.
The "master" bedroom has no night stands to set water, eyeglasses or whatever else you need within reach at night. One side of the bed is very close to the wall and makes it difficult to get in on that side.
The "second" bedroom had an odd smell when the AC was running, but not all the time. The wiring in the condo must have been done quite a bit later as there is a lot of surface mount conduit going to things like the fans, but there are also switches that don't seem to do anything.
A number of buildings have their own restaurant, the Maui sunset doesn't. The pool also doesn't have items for purchase. The morning activity briefing does have coffee and some pastries.
Overall: An affordable beach front location."

"Maui Sunset is one of our favorite places to stay in Kihei. This unit has everything you will need. The owner is quick to respond to any questions you may have before booking and has this unit priced great. We had a great time, Thanks!"

"Couldn't beat the location of the Maui Sunset condos. You can get to anything in 30-40 minutes and the condo had more than enough space for my wife and I. Never heard any noise from the other units, our unit was clean and well kept, and you're right next to the beach. The only down side was the fact that the beach it is connected to is a little rocky, so we went to other beaches for swimming/snorkeling, but it didn't take long to get anywhere you wanted to go. It was also nice to have a little kitchen, washer/dryer, and supplies you wouldn't want to take on a plane (cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, etc...)"
