  • Nice condo. We had a great time!

"We loved this place! It was our first time in Maui. The condo was perfect for us and our two year-old. It was at ground level, which means our son could get out and directly start running on the grass. No need to take stairs or elevators. The grass is so well maintained that it looks and feels like a carpet! The pool was very nice. The location of the condo is very central: we could get pretty much anywhere in Maui in less than one hour drive (except Hana). Condo is clean and well equipped. Everything was just great!"

  • An excellent place to stay, with lots of extras to make your vacation fun and easy

"We managed to get a last minute reservation at this condo when our original Kihei accommodations fell through, and we felt so lucky to have landed here. The condo clean and comfortable, with a super comfy bed in the bedroom and a handy Murphy bed in the living area. It's a great setup for traveling with kids, because the bed can fold up during the day so it's not cramped. The condo is very well equipped with kitchen necessities, a washer and dryer, and even a closet full of gear to make a beach trip more enjoyable (including beach chairs, boogie boards, pool noodles, a sun shelter, snorkeling gear, and more). We loved eating meals on the lanai. The ground floor position was excellent for traveling with kids, since right outside the lanai is lots of open green space for kids to run around, and it's totally safe, since the area is contained by the two resort buildings and separated from the street by a wall. The grounds are quite lovely, with tons of soft green grass that carpets the area all the way to the beach, plus tropical flowering plants, water features, and tiki torches at night. It's all very well kept, tidy and attractive. The resort has a pool and hot tub, tennis courts, shuffleboard and other activities. There are gas BBQs you can use, and even an herb garden you can cut fresh basil and other herbs from. It has all the makings for a perfect vacation, and to top it all off, the owner is responsive and just really a nice person."

  • Outstanding for the Price

"Oh Maui…how I miss you and I've only been back on the mainland for a week. Al’s unit is very equipped for all your needs. Coolers, snorkel/fins, lots of towels etc. All the little items are a plus. It still sucks that cleaning crews can’t leave mustard & ketchup in the fridges, but I’m getting off track. The unit is updated vs. others I have stayed in at Maui Sunset. Tile throughout is great! Location right next to parking on A side is great. People will complain about the loudness of the AC units, but that is pretty normal. Bring your ear plugs if you don’t like white noise. You’re not in the rain forest. Only complaint I have is that the bed frame is squeaky. Any movement for two people can be a little disruptive if you’re a light sleeper. The bed itself is very comfortable and it’s a Queen. If you like Kings, you’re in trouble. I haven’t found one yet at Maui Sunset. For the price, it’s a 5 out of 5. It’s not the Grand Wailea and don’t bitch because you don’t have fresh towels every day. It’s a Condo with a great manicured lawn and central to everywhere on the island. Mahalo!"

  • Great location

"Couldn't beat the location of the Maui Sunset condos. You can get to anything in 30-40 minutes and the condo had more than enough space for my wife and I. Never heard any noise from the other units, our unit was clean and well kept, and you're right next to the beach. The only down side was the fact that the beach it is connected to is a little rocky, so we went to other beaches for swimming/snorkeling, but it didn't take long to get anywhere you wanted to go. It was also nice to have a little kitchen, washer/dryer, and supplies you wouldn't want to take on a plane (cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, etc...)"
