  • Modern, cared for, great location for all activities!

"Our party of 4 felt this condo had everything going for it. Accurate listing photos, great location, great views, all amenities, modern, well-care for, clean, we could go on and on. Responsive owner. We would recommend this location over other crowded resort areas - it is centrally located close to fabulous beaches, restaurants, etc. Grounds, pool areas were expertly maintained, free parking. Thanks, Elmer."

  • An excellent place to stay, with lots of extras to make your vacation fun and easy

"We managed to get a last minute reservation at this condo when our original Kihei accommodations fell through, and we felt so lucky to have landed here. The condo clean and comfortable, with a super comfy bed in the bedroom and a handy Murphy bed in the living area. It's a great setup for traveling with kids, because the bed can fold up during the day so it's not cramped. The condo is very well equipped with kitchen necessities, a washer and dryer, and even a closet full of gear to make a beach trip more enjoyable (including beach chairs, boogie boards, pool noodles, a sun shelter, snorkeling gear, and more). We loved eating meals on the lanai. The ground floor position was excellent for traveling with kids, since right outside the lanai is lots of open green space for kids to run around, and it's totally safe, since the area is contained by the two resort buildings and separated from the street by a wall. The grounds are quite lovely, with tons of soft green grass that carpets the area all the way to the beach, plus tropical flowering plants, water features, and tiki torches at night. It's all very well kept, tidy and attractive. The resort has a pool and hot tub, tennis courts, shuffleboard and other activities. There are gas BBQs you can use, and even an herb garden you can cut fresh basil and other herbs from. It has all the makings for a perfect vacation, and to top it all off, the owner is responsive and just really a nice person."

  • Maui visit

"We enjoyed our stay in a 2 bedroom condo at the Sunset Maui. The weather wasn't the best but the condo was very comfortable for the inside days we had while there. We appreciated the special little things like having spices, coffee, coffee filters already in the kitchen and sand chair. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return."

  • A Month in Maui

"We were spot on when we chose Maui Sunset and, specifically, Jackie's and Roy's place. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. The views were great and the breezes were wonderful. Evenings at the barbecue were a fun social time for us and all the others sharing the space. The barbecues were in constant use from about 5:30 - 8:00 each evening and we met some very nice people there. They were all kept in tiptop condition. The condo was very well equipped and updated. We used the chairs, boogie boards and towels that were provided to make our daily visits to the beach so enjoyable. The beaches in Kihei and Wailea are the best around and we made it our goal to visit a different one everyday. We took a catamaran to Lanai to snorkel and enjoy the beach and tidepools for the day. It was fantastic. We left from Lahaina at 8am and returned at 4pm. I would highly recommend that trip. Other than that, we were on our own from hiking Twin Falls, watching the kite surfers in Ho'okipa, hanging out in Paia, going to the Friday Night gatherings in Wailuku, Lahaina, Makawao (a little too low key so we scooted on over to Paia for dinner - great idea) and Kihei. We snorkeled every chance we had (always traveled with our snorkel equipment) and swam to the neighboring beaches from wherever we chose to park our chairs/towels. Favorite restaurants are Kihei Cafe for breakfast; Milagros in Paia; 5 Palms happy hour in Kihei; Iglesia La Luz del Mundo Taco/Burrito cart in Kihei; and Sea House Restaurant in Napili (great cove beach for snorkeling right down the stairs from the restaurant). Needless to say, we are making plans to return next year. Thank you Roy and Jackie."
