"Couldn't beat the location of the Maui Sunset condos. You can get to anything in 30-40 minutes and the condo had more than enough space for my wife and I. Never heard any noise from the other units, our unit was clean and well kept, and you're right next to the beach. The only down side was the fact that the beach it is connected to is a little rocky, so we went to other beaches for swimming/snorkeling, but it didn't take long to get anywhere you wanted to go. It was also nice to have a little kitchen, washer/dryer, and supplies you wouldn't want to take on a plane (cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, etc...)"

"Place was clean and amenities were fine. Only issue might be that you can't open the drawers by the refrigerator which isn't a big deal because you don't live there full time. The condo had plenty of room for us. The resort is kept up beautifully. It's a great location to get to other place on the island. Stores and restaurants are close by. The kids loved it. I would definitely request it again."

"This was our first time renting a condo for a trip. We could not be more grateful for the choice we made. The condo was so clean and the extra space (compared to a hotel room) was fantastic... the owners of this condo have gone out of there way to provide more than we could have expected. From the extra towels to a printer that was fully operational and ready to use. There was even water toys that we were able to use so that we did not have to buy them. The cleanliness of the unit was spectacular! The gentlemen that looked after the unit was friendly and accommodating for the extra 90 minutes we needed over the checkout time. Great place to call home while in Maui and we will be staying there again!"

"Half of our ten-day Maui vacation was spent at this comfortable beach home. For our group of 9 (3 generations, ages 6 to 79), we chose this site for close access to water activities, especially snorkeling and a trip to Molokini.
The house is modern, well furnished and maintained, and the management had provided careful instructions about parking, trash pickup, and other details. Our contact was very prompt and thorough in responding to our questions.
The beach is just beyond the back lawn well supplied with palms and other trees. It is pleasant to take the furnished lawn chairs into the shade and watch the local egrets as they shuttle up and down the flyway. A small flock of chickens enjoy the freedom of the large back yard, unmarred by fences.
Don footwear on your first trip to the beach. The sandy path collects nuts and twigs dropped from the trees. While on the narrow beach watch closely and try to spot the tiny translucent crab-like sand residents as they scamper away from your path; they are invisible when not moving. Swimming and snorkeling are probably better on other stretches of Kihei beaches, but here you might see parasailers and windsurfers hot-dogging when wind and waves get lively in the afternoon.
Keep your eyes open for the geckos that are common in these climates. We detected one that seemed to hang out behind a picture on the downstairs wall, and a (different?) one that lived behind a light fixture outside below the upstairs veranda.
Kihei is warm in August and some other months. Other reviewers have written, correctly, that AC would be nice. But when you are in Hawaii, on Maui, relax and enjoy it as it is.
We all had an absolutely great time at this place. If we ever need a Maui rental home of this size, we'll be sure to consider it."
