"After a long trip of about 15 hours, we arrived in Maui from Boston! We could not be more pleased with the location, the view, and the apartment. There was a reserved space for our rental car to pull right into (it seems pretty difficult to get around the island without one), and check-in at the desk took only a minute or two. We had everything we needed in the apartment- including beach towels/chairs, a cooler, plenty of kitchen supplies for baking, cooking (pots, pans, utensils, cups, blender, etc), or grilling. We used the kitchen a lot to save on going out to eat. I would recommend this for someone looking for a homey, quiet place to stay. They had quiet hours from about 10pm - 8am, which was nice because we were usually up early to go to the beach or do various activities and never heard much noise from the neighbors. The bed was very comfortable, and the tv comes with a DVD player, so we used that to watch a movie that we rented from the grocery store right down the street. There are nice beaches nearby in Wailea, and we drove about 40 minutes to the beaches of Kaanapali and went on a whale watch. It is also not a far drive from the airport or the Haleakala crater. I liked it because it was in the middle of everything with shops and restaurants right nearby, but it itself is in a quiet and safe location. We took morning walks on the beach (just cross a small grass area to get there!) with our coffee, and the view of the ocean and mountains from the lanai are fantastic. If we travel to Maui again, I would absolutely stay here and recommend it to others. I know I was wary of online booking, but everything worked out perfectly. Marilyn was a great help with emailing and even called me before paying to ensure there was a real person on the other end! Mahalo, Marilyn for a great stay!
