  • Great spot

"We had a great time and enjoyed staying at this condo (family with two children age 6 months and 2.5 years), which was conveniently located right on the water and close to grocery stores etc. in Kihei. A good central location to the many places we visited on the island. (A favorite was the sugar beach pie shop). The owners have thoughtfully provided almost everything we could have needed. The shared wifi had unfortunately been cancelled the week before we arrived, so we blew through our data packages almost I mmediately--not sure if that has been replaced--and so we all spent a bit more time at the coffee shop than perhaps we would have otherwise, but still found this condo to be of excellent value. Loved the location right by the tennis courts--very convenient. The pool was a hit with the kids although we did have to try to be quiet (difficult with a toddler) as it is in a courtyard surrounded by units. Re: the no jumping in the pool rule, this is ridiculous--I get no diving and no running, no roughhousing of course, but no jumping is unreasonable. Although one resident tried to tell me that it was for safety so that children know they should never jump in a pool ever, as a former lifeguard/swim instructor, I can say that no person passes level 1 swimming lessons without being able to jump in the pool as it is a basic safety skill. Anyway, that would be the only thing preventing me from coming back when the kids were older, as I think it would be even more important once they're more adept swimmers. But I would definitely recommend to other friends and relatives looking for a longer vacation rental. The inlaws joined us for a while and they also thought it was a great spot."

  • Another amazing time on Maui

"Hi Chris and Kathy, We had an amazing trip as always :) The place was exactly what we needed, it was the perfect family spot! This was our first big trip with our little one (10 months old) and the condo was great; lots of space for us and our parents who made the trip as well :) (And it was very nice that there was a playpen available for use). Great location, Kihei is by far our favourite spot, close to lots of good restaurants and activities. Fantastic pool and bbq area; we got plenty of daily use out of the pool, especially with our little one. Had some nice walks on the beach, though we did opt for the short drive further south to go for dips in the ocean (as mentioned the water is a bit shallow), but it didn't bother us much, there are so many great beaches nearby it was kind of nice to explore some of them, as the last few times we've come we've really only hit the beach in front of whatever place we were staying at. Thanks again for your quick replies and how accommodating you were. Nobody had the condo immediately after us and the cleaning crew had no problem with us checking out a little late which was a lifesaver with our baby and a late flight. Little things like that go a long way and we are very appreciative. All in all we had a great time and can't wait to come back! Will definitely keep your info handy for next time and would absolutely recommend to friends :) Mahalo! Kristie and family"

  • Slice of Paradise

"My husband and I recently spent 10 days in this lovely prpoerty, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The condo was spacious, well designed, and spotlessly clean for our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked, and the left over spices/condiments from previous visitors were greatly appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable, but at times, our sleep was disrupted by loud voices, moving up and down the stairs outside the bedroom window. I must say though, to awaken from a deep sleep, to be reminded that we were in paradise, was not a bad thing! The bathroom is a touch small for two people to get ready at the same time, but the shower was great! The lanai was an extension to the living space, and the furniture was top end, and truly comfortable. The view from the lanai was mostly of the gorgeous landscaping and waterfall, but with a bit of angling, you could see the vista of the ocean. It was steps from the beach, and from the grilling area. The pool is fabulous - warm, clean, and large, and the lounge chairs very comfy. The beach was great for walking, and for parking a beach chair (the Tommy Bahama chairs were well used, thanks Lyn!), but the swimming at this location was less than perfect, as there are many small rocks and pebbles. But, with good water shoes, the problem was solved easily. During our stay, it was quite warm, 85 F each day, but the air conditioning was not required, so long as you open the patio door, and the entry screen, allowing the cross breezes to enter. The short walk to one of the Island's best markets was welcomed, and the abundance of restaurants in the immediate area was welcomed. We have previously stayed in Kihei, nearby Kam I/II beaches, and prefer this location to the chaos of that area. We will not hesitate to return, and recommend this condo to a couple, seeking a get away from their everyday. It has quick access to all areas of Kihei, and to all Island access. We especially enjoyed our visit upcountry, and our lunch at the Kula Bistro. The condo owners were receptive to all of our questions, and provided perfect bits of information to enhance our stay. Mahalo, Lyn!"
