"We stayed in this adorable rental for a little over a month while we transistioned from the mainland to Maui. Upon arrival we were very pleased with the rental. It has plenty of space for a couple or small family. We loved having a private driveway behind locked gates. We brought two dogs with us and we all enjoyed the private back yard. The house has great access to Kihei. You are down the street from everything! Stores, bars, restaurants, and, of course, the beach. We walked our dogs to the beach every day and sometimes would return with coffee or pizza in hand. A car isn't necessary unless you want to leave Kihei but then you could always just rent a mo-ped down the street! The only draw back to being so close to everything is the traffic noise. The house is directly on South Kihei Road which is the main street of the town. The family who lives in the main house and takes care of the property is awesome! They were always available if we had a question or maintenance issue. They are all friendly and open to chit-chat but they also respect your space and privacy. We were a little put-off by the owner (not the same as the property care-takers) at times. During our stay there were a couple of maintenance issues. When we spoke to the owner she would ask us to personally repair/handle the issues. We were disappointed to be asked to take care of things when we were paying vacation rental rates. We quickly learned it was more efficient and less labor intensive to speak with property care-takers. We are so happy we stayed at this rental because it was there that we fell in love with Kihei Town. We now live less than a mile from this sweet beach house!!"Guest: Ori A. "My boyfriend and I stayed in this condo for over two weeks at the beginning of 2014, and it was terrific! The condo exceeded my expectations (it's larger than the photos suggest) and is very well maintained and updated. It is clean, comfortable, and very well stocked/equipped. You can view the sunset from the patio chairs, or walk just a few more steps and enjoy it directly on the beach with a glass of wine. We loved being on the ground floor with such great access to a beautiful beach. We actually selected the location because my boyfriend is learning how to kite board and wanted good access to "kite beach" (Kanaha beach); it turned out that kite beach was about a 20 min drive away, which was very convenient, and we still got to stay on the South shore and witness the incredible sunsets. I will return to this condo when we come back to Maui (someday soon hopefully) and will be recommending it to my friends & family. Also, the owners were a pleasure to deal with and care very much about ensuring a wonderful stay in their property."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 19, 2014View listing
"We stayed in the Ohana for five weeks and had a great time. The listing accurately describes the location, appearance and amenities of the cottage. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and maintenance upon our arrival. Hope and her staff were very accommodating to our requests during our entire stay. Hope would check with us a regular basis to ensure that everything was OK and to answer any questions. There were even pleasant surprises of goodies left when least expected. This cottage is close to many of Kihei attractions, shops and eateries. We would recommend this cottage to a couple looking for a quiet retreat."Guest: Kootenays, BC Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 10, 2014View listing
"This was our first trip to Hawaii. The condo was beautiful, clean, significantly large and well laid out. The grounds are attractive and well kept. The condo was a short walk to the beach. We like to walk for exercise and enjoyment, and found the location ideal for that. We rented a car---the condo location was great for driving in different directions to see the Island beauty and to visit small charming towns."Guest: Gerri and Bob Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 11, 2014View listing
