  • A Month in Maui

"We were spot on when we chose Maui Sunset and, specifically, Jackie's and Roy's place. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. The views were great and the breezes were wonderful. Evenings at the barbecue were a fun social time for us and all the others sharing the space. The barbecues were in constant use from about 5:30 - 8:00 each evening and we met some very nice people there. They were all kept in tiptop condition. The condo was very well equipped and updated. We used the chairs, boogie boards and towels that were provided to make our daily visits to the beach so enjoyable. The beaches in Kihei and Wailea are the best around and we made it our goal to visit a different one everyday. We took a catamaran to Lanai to snorkel and enjoy the beach and tidepools for the day. It was fantastic. We left from Lahaina at 8am and returned at 4pm. I would highly recommend that trip. Other than that, we were on our own from hiking Twin Falls, watching the kite surfers in Ho'okipa, hanging out in Paia, going to the Friday Night gatherings in Wailuku, Lahaina, Makawao (a little too low key so we scooted on over to Paia for dinner - great idea) and Kihei. We snorkeled every chance we had (always traveled with our snorkel equipment) and swam to the neighboring beaches from wherever we chose to park our chairs/towels. Favorite restaurants are Kihei Cafe for breakfast; Milagros in Paia; 5 Palms happy hour in Kihei; Iglesia La Luz del Mundo Taco/Burrito cart in Kihei; and Sea House Restaurant in Napili (great cove beach for snorkeling right down the stairs from the restaurant). Needless to say, we are making plans to return next year. Thank you Roy and Jackie."

  • Excellent Location and Superb Service

"This was the second year that we spent part of our winter in this condo–this year four weeks. We have already booked here for next year. First, the location is great. Though you have no ocean view, you have a view of the garden and pool area. The beach is a mere 50 yards away. Times grocery, Long's, and several restaurants are within an EASY walk. Nina and Bob are owners who live a good portion of the year on island and address any issues you have immediately. To top it off, they are very friendly and want your vacation experience to be the best possible. Here is a portion of an email we sent Nina this year, "Both Jan and I would like to thank you for the recent upgrades in the condo. We are thoroughly enjoying the new TV (41") with Netflix and Amazon options. The old TV in the bedroom is an added plus, the sound being much better due to the smaller space. Of course, the new faucet in the lower bathroom is another plus. The lights underneath the counter are especially liked by Jan. . . Jan is thinking of buying some for our home. If you don't mind telling us, where did you purchase them? Also, thank you for the hiking map. We probably won't use it until next year. . . We have always appreciated the quickness in which you address any requests we make and your concern for our comfort.""

"We enjoyed our stay at the love shack suite! The owners were extremely accommodating and stocked and decorated the condo with all the comforts of home. Our location was central so it was very easy to plan our day trips. We will definitely keep this suite in mind for our next trip to Maui ! Mahalo Love Shack Suite and Aloha."

Central Kihei Travel Tips

Kihei Vacation Rentals Equal Hawaiian Luxury

Kihei sits along the coast of one of the Hawaiian Islands. Central Kihei is one of the top destinations for tourists, and you will find a variety of Central Kihei vacation rentals available in the area. With less than 13 inches of rain each year, Kihei is ideal for tourists to enjoy the beaches, glimpse picturesque views, shop and dine in one of the premier destinations of the Hawaiian Islands.

The Perfect Accommodation is Central Kihei Vacation Rentals

Whether it's the beach, the beautiful weather or just the relaxing atmosphere, Central Kihei vacation rentals offer the type of accommodation you're seeking for your Hawaiian vacation. Kihei beach rentals accommodate those looking to spend their days in the sand and their nights in the comfort of their own private condominium or single-family home. Most beach rentals come with fully equipped kitchens, private living room and bedrooms. While the Kihei beach rentals run along the coast, Central Kihei condos are available for rent that are closer to the action—shopping, dining and entertainment.

Central Kihei Activities for Everyone

Kihei and Central Kihei offer things to do for all age groups. From the Oceanside part of Kihei beach, it's easy to view the western part of Maui, Molokini, Kaho'olawe and Lana'i. Kalama Beach Park offers rolling lawns shaded with palm trees, which are great for picnics or relaxing. The park is composed on 36 acres that run along the ocean and at certain times of the year hosts craft fairs and music concerts. For younger vacationers, the skateboarder park, baseball fields, children's playground, basketball courts and hockey rink rank among the favorite spots. Azeka Place in Kihei has 50 shops and restaurants. When you don't feel like cooking a meal in your Kihei vacation rentals Kihei dining offers everything from local regional and Pacific Rim cuisine to chain restaurants.
