"The Maui Sunset's grounds are beautiful and very well kept. It is quiet at night (after 10:00) and early in the morning. Kids love playing in the grassy area between buildings A and B. The pool area is very clean as are the bar-b-que grills. Everything gets a cleaning every morning. If you stay more than 11 days, the condo will get a "cleaning". The ladies change the sheets, clean the bathrooms, leave clean towels (had plenty of them), leave a new roll of paper towels, and two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom. It was only my husband and me and the size was perfect. However, the condo sleeps 5 people. More than 2 people in this condo would be pushing it as there would not be enough space. Condo looks "tired"; needs a complete overhaul. Only pluses were the flat screen TV, stackable Duet washer/dryer, comfortable mattresses in bedroom and on twin murphy bed. All the pictures hanging on the walls sort of made it look like a gallery. Would go back to Maui Sunset, but would try a different condo."

  • Home away from home

"When it came time to plan our family trip to Maui, I knew I wanted to stay somewhere that felt like home. I found this condo on VRBO and once I saw the photos of the condo, I knew I had found our home away from home. My two teenagers and I had a great time while we there for a little over a week. We had all of the conveniences of home but also enjoyed some awesome adventures on the island and spectacular views from the condo. The property and condo are immaculate. The toy closet had everything we needed to enjoy the beach, the pool, the tennis courts and even our road trips around the island. The kitchen was supplied with every gadget we needed and having stopped at Costco and Safeway really helped to save some money on eating out. On our nights out, we enjoyed Café O’Lei and a few other local spots. The owner was very helpful with the booking of the condo and suggestions of where to go for meals and activities. I can't wait to go home again!"

  • Place worth coming back to

"It is a very nice condo to stay. Easy to and from and just a mile from all the good eating places. As advertised 200 yards from the beach. Nice beach to walk and close to all the place you would like to eat at. The pool and hot tub were very nice and all the people we meet at the condos were also nice. Staff was very helpful as they did direct us to a medical facilities since my wife came down with a bad sinus infection. It is a slower pace then other parts of the island as Kihei is missing some of the monster hotels. Look for the local food establishments you will not go wrong. The Catholic church a mile away had a very nice for Saturday service."
