  • Maui Paradise

"Aloha, Marilyn As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Maui, and once again I really enjoyed your condo! Kauhale Makai is such a beautiful place, what with the landscaping, location on the wonderful Pacific Ocean, and all the amenities. #326 just makes it all the better. Coming off a 13 hour trip from Knoxville and walking into your place for the 6th time since 2005, tired and ready to rest, was like walking into my own place - everything was so familiar! I couldn't help but notice that your lanai is becoming more user friendly, what with the additional furniture. I LIKE IT! I spent plenty of time stting there in the late evenings, enjoying the critter sounds, listening to my iPod, watching things wind down in the pool, and looking at the sky. I even saw a really cool meteor one night. I did have the A/C running all day during my first few days while I was at the beach - it was very humid then - but I stopped that soon, after I discovered that leaving it off all day, then coming back and turning it back on when I returned, it de-humidified the air quite quickly. Thanks again for allowing me to enjoy your condo, Marilyn! You and your partners have a good thing going. Mike"

  • Not so great

"Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Maybe we were very unlucky with our unit, but many things were broken or nearly broken there: towel holder, some lamps, bed, decorative pillows, some . It was not very clean: air filter in the bathroom was not replaced for ages, we saw crouches, the air in unit was frowzy etc. The whole unit looked abandoned. The management was responsive in general: once we wrote about crouches, the service man came and brought us some traps and the problem was solved. But same man wanted to repair towel holder, although we haven't written about it, which makes me think they knew about it before we came in, but didn't do anything. The resort itself is good though: nice place, pool and pool area, very close to the ocean, no beach however."

  • Wonderful second visit!

"We stayed at this condo on our last trip to Maui, and enjoyed it so much that we were glad to be able to stay at it again! Always spotlessly clean, perfectly located, and with an absolutely beautiful garden out back, we have always loved our visits here."

  • best view for less!

"Decor, floor, ceiling, and bedrooms are outdated but newly renovated bathrooms are brand new. It kind of made up for the rest of the condo, because the view was amazing from balcony and master. The pool was nice, clean and big. The owner is super nice and always responded promptly when there were any concerns or problems. Would definitely stay here again in the future."
