"This is certainly a beautifully kept plantation home moved from its original spot on a plantation to its current local. You can feel the historical charm in the main house. It is a very comfortably furnished and private feeling with a courtyard like patio. The beaches in town were lovely, especially Beach 2. The house is well equipped for an extended stay with many cooking utensils and dishes. There is also beach equipment and bikes in the garage. The only complaints we have is there is not adequate air conditioning in the main house. We were there in 90° weather with heat index close to 100°. The kitchen was unbearable in the afternoon and the bedrooms uncomfortable to sleep in. This could easily be remedied with additional ac units in the kitchen and bedrooms. There is only one ac in the main home. Our other complaint was the neighbors barking dogs who loved to bark through the night. It's okay if your a sound sleeper but my daughter and her husband were in the cottage and found it difficult to sleep. If the house needs to have quiet time after 9 pm for the neighbors sake then I feel they should comply as well. We also rented the detached studio which was the most comfortable temperature wise and well furnished for a short stay. If the air conditioning issue was addressed I would certainly stay here again."

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children ages 13 and 10) enjoyed our 4-night stay at Plantation Bungalow Cottage. It was clean, homey, and a good value for the price. Kristin was great to work with -- always responded promptly to my e-mails. Although there were several trees on the property to provide shade, the A/C units in the bedrooms were nice to have on those warm August afternoons, and it was also nice to have ceiling fans in every room of the house. The beds were comfortable. The keyless entry lock for the front door was convenient to use. Having a dishwasher in the kitchen was great, and it was a nice surprise to find a rice cooker in the cabinet. The washer and dryer worked well (note: laundry soap was supplied; if you like to use dryer sheets, bring a few sheets from home like I did). You might also want to bring your own shampoo and bath soap -- there was no shampoo, and the liquid soap in the bathroom was not sudsy enough for showering.
The garage had beach toys, boogie boards, beach mats, fins for snorkeling and flotation vests, all of which we borrowed during our stay. Thank you! :) There were also 4 adult bicycles and a kayak for guest use. Beach towels were available in the beach bathroom. The drying racks were very useful -- we used them every day for our bathing suits and beach towels.
The cottage was quiet and peaceful, yet the location was convenient to beaches, restaurant, and shopping areas. Thank you for allowing us to check out late on our day of departure. We would love to stay here again on future trips to Maui."

"Very local Kihei feel! Really nice, clean, comfortable 3 bedroom house in local neighborhood. Upstairs master has wonderful outdoor lanai facing mountain and great for morning coffee. Kitchen (nicely equipped), dining and living room all open. Rear has two bedrooms opening on to large covered rear lanai and secluded, quiet, very green, tree covered back yard (shared with 2 other rentals on same property but always quiet).
Only minor down side was not super close walkable to a sandy beach.
Friendly, responsive property manager even replaced the microwave that conked out within a day-ish of us reporting it."

"Once again we enjoyed being in Maui and staying at the Pineapple Suite and waking up to the sound of the doves cooing. The studio is centrally located, with easy access to the beaches, shops, and restaurants. Thank you, Megan, for organizing everything."
