"First and foremost, the photos for this condo do it no justice, at all. It was wonderful and perfectly located. I would agree that the kitchen is a little outdated, but fully functional and FULLY STOCKED with everything you need. We would go back in a heart beat. Have traveled to Maui numerous times and this is our new favorite place. The people around were lovely and friendly. A real community feel. This area is centrally located to everything! This condo slept 4 of us very comfortably, even though its a one bedroom. We just tucked the extra baggage and luggage in the corner. Overall a perfectly good place to stay!"

"Rented this condo based on other reviews and they were accurate....fantastic location right on the beach. As the previous reviewer said, the view is just right there out the window in front of you. No walk across the street or peering around other buildings to see the ocean. Went to sleep every night to the sound of waves (no wave machine needed here!) The beach is clean and rarely crowded when we were there. Lots of families around (made us want to bring our grandkids and families back to enjoy it).
The condo was completely furnished with everything you would want for meal preparation. Lots of towels, extra pillows, and beach gear. It truly was a home away from home.
August was great to reply to any questions we had prior to the trip. No need to contact him while there; everything worked properly. His tips sent prior to arrival were very helpful as well.
We would love to return."

"For us, this condo was absolutely perfect. Here are the things we look for:
+ close to the beach, I love to hear the surf: 100% - if you fell off the Lanai, you'd be on the beach
+ sunsets, I'm a sucker for Hawaiian sunsets: 100% - lanai faces west, with a 270 degree view of the ocean.
+ walking distance to other beaches: 100% - Kihei town beaches are right there, and a shoreline hike is really easy. Kihei is a real town with real residents. So you wont be in a "Resort Cocoon"
+ Clean: 100% - the condo was spotless, and the property was well-maintained and very comfortable.
+ workable kitchen: 100% - everything you'd expect. Plus basic items like sugar, salt/pepper and numerous spices and condiments are stocked.
+ Affordable - I won't rate this because everyone's budget is unique. But for us, this was an excellent deal. I have stayed in many, many properties on all the islands, and especially on Maui. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less."

"We are just home from two weeks at this condo. To give you a clear appreciation of how much we enjoyed it, we spent the last few days trying to figure out if we could return to it next year for three weeks.
Coralie made the transaction seamless and the entire booking process was done with a few emails. The contract and instruction package was great and offered easy instructions and clarity.
On arrival (we arrived very late, 11pm) stopped at Safeway for a days worth of groceries and arrived at the Hale Pau Hana about midnight. The instructions were clear and we were standing on the lanai within minutes looking out at the ocean. It was a gorgeous unobstructed southern view through a few palms.
Though the unit could sleep 4 it was just right for the two of us. The unit was exactly as pictured, the kitchen quite newly done and had all the small appliances you needed as well as utensils et al. The rooms nicely appointed and the bedroom great with air conditioning, which was welcome as we had 2 weeks of 88-92 degrees and the wooden blinds kept it dark. The bed comfortable and ensuite a nice feature. The main shower was a very nice size and all bathrooms as well as the rest of the unit were clean.
The morning view was grand, looking out at Molokini Atoll, watching the surf and the turtles feeding on the reef.
Sunsets and moonsets were incredible.
As far as location, the Hale Pau Hana was perfectly situated for restaurants and shops.
We were totally enamoured with the condo and location, it lacked nothing."
