  • Fantastic Experience!

"We had an absolutely lovely experience staying in this unit. The condo was clean, recently renovated (the photos are accurate), had new appliances & televisions, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed (toaster, coffee maker, salad spinner/bowl, wine glasses, garbage bags, cleaners, etc). Additionally I would like to add what a pleasure it was to work with Keiko and Tomoko. We had a few questions along the way and they were very helpful, prompt to reply or phone, and extremely kind. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone thinking of staying at the Royal Mauian, or Keihi in general. You won't be disappointed."

  • A fabulous Xmas holiday in Kihei!

"The following letter is to the owner of the condo...because I felt I personally knew her and she knew me after a couple phone conversations and emails in preparation for the stay! Dear _____, I can't thank you enough for renting your Kihei condo to us! It fit our family perfectly and had all the things we needed. We had great weather...including a couple rainy days when we needed to stay out of the sun. We had a horrific storm one night that rattled the sliding glass doors and flooded some streets on the island. My husband and I took a "drive" that rainy day because we couldn't play on the beach, and in Kahului, Dairy Rd was HIGH water, top of our rental car's wheel wells. We made it through the stoplights of town and then pulled into the Bailey Historical House in Wailuku. With relief to be off the road, we enjoyed the video and museum and learned all about the Baileys!! I think I told you we stayed at Kihei Alii Kai 30 years ago, with my parents, and we feel the whole complex has been thoroughly cared for and is just as perfect as ever. The street is still dead-end, and the land next door undeveloped, the pool and hot tub wonderful, the barbecue grills big and powerful, well-kept grounds, quiet and friendly neighbors......on and on! I did the hiking and adventure seeking I hoped for. Four of us went zip-lining at the Tropical Plantation - where they take young ones as little as my 7 yr old grand-son. It's kind of a baby zipline --- but JUST perfect for me. I hiked an 11 mile hike into Haleakala and at the other end of the island near Kapulua, we found the Dragon's Teeth, the Blowhole, the Ohia Point hike, and also the Waihe'e Ridge Trail --- all great fun. Great swimming at Kameole I (a mere 5 minute walk from the condo in bathing suits and barefoot!)and other beaches and my kids went three times to Cafe O'Lei right next door they liked it so much. I could go on and on --- great trip. Thank you. Take care."

  • Perfectly Acceptable

"Our family needed a place to stay for a few days while visiting family here on Maui. We had to book at the last minute, but the rates were still quite reasonable. The area around the condo can give you pause, but during our stay, we didn't run into any issues at all. As previous reviews mentioned, the bedroom is right by the main through way, but we did not run into any noise issues during our stay either. The accommodations within the condo met all of our needs. Some of the nice things that stood out for us: - Well-stocked kitchen - Free and functional Internet - Lots of bath/beach towels - "Welcome/Christmas" gift bag. About the only thing that was a drawback was the tiny little ants that showed up in the bathroom and kitchen, but given the recent rain that was in the area, I wouldn't consider this to be an everyday concern. We would rent this property again."

"Loved the condo complex! Great location, beautiful flowers, large pool and friendly people. Sunsets at the very close beach were spectacular. This unit is very nice with lots of remodel updates. Only complaint was the 1 hour timer on the a/c. We were there during a heat wave and although early morning and late evening were fine with open windows and fans, we really needed some a/c late afternoon. Enjoyed the large flat screen t v for keeping up with football games."
