"I highly recommend this delightful vacation destination! It had everything we could have wanted in a beachfront condo, just like the description promised. Our first impression was of relief that we had found such a perfect place. Our unit was on the second floor of a small (12unit) building. The reserved parking spot was directly across from our condo making it very accessible and convenient for carrying baggage or groceries. The condo itself was spacious, bright and immaculate. From the back entrance door you walk directly across the high ceilinged room to the sliding doors leading out to the lanai, giving it such an indoor/outdoor feeling. The lanai is where we spent so much of our time watching the incredible beauty beyond...pretty gardens, white sand, rolling surf. The condo had all the conveniences of a beach holiday, fully stocked kitchen with modern gleaming appliances, open living room area for meals or reading, clean bathrooms with amenities and lush towels, large comfortable beds. I particularly liked the loft bedroom overlooking the lower level providing privacy and a greater sense of space. We found it all so well designed, we preferred mostly to cook our meals at home enjoying them on the lanai rather than going out. The other very attractive feature for us was its central location. Mornings could be spent walking down the white sandy beach for as far as you could see, or heading out on foot onto S Kihei Rd to visit local markets and shops or restaurants if desired. So much to do, although sitting out on the beach under the warm sun was hard to beat. We hope to revisit this wonderful place soon, to savour once again Maui's best!"Guest: DR Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 6, 2014View listing
"Perfect location-right in the middle of everything you need. The updated Condo just like photos-very nice and had everthing one would need. Nice features are the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels provided. Nice that its the closest building to the beach-but that means road noise does occur. Only bothered us if trying to listen to the TV in the evening. Would stay here again and hope we can!"Guest: Kathy and Scott M. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 5, 2014View listing
"I was searching quite a bit for a vacation rental in Maui for our Summer trip. We are a family of 4 - consisting of myself, my husband, and my 14 and 11 year old boys. At first, I was looking for a 2 bedroom rental, but the cost was too high, so I started looking for a 1 bedroom. I was so glad to find this unit! My kids do not like to share a bed, so having the murphy bed and the pull out couch was perfect. There is a/c and a ceiling fan in the living room and the bedroom has a ceiling fan only. We didn't mind it at all, the nights are fairly cool in Maui, but you have the option to sleep in the living room with the a/c if its gets too hot. Both the murphy bed and pull out couch can sleep 2 each. Maui Vista is a very well managed property and security is tight. There are 3 buildings and each building has a pool, bbq, and tennis courts. The unit itself is steps away from the pool - from the back lanai and at the front door, you go out and the bbq is right there. Love the fact that it was on the first floor and you can lock the back sliding door. The property is very quiet, but keep in mind we went in late August, a slower season. This unit has everything you need - the washer/dryer is perfect, there is a stove, all the utensils and plates you need, there are condiments as well - so make sure you check out the unit first before you buy stuff at the grocery store. Maui Vista is directly across the street from Charley Young beach and the unit has everything you need to bring to the beach including beach toys, chairs, towels and boogie boards. So it was super easy to just grab everything and walk over across the street everyday. Maui Vista is also very central to all the amenities - especially the shaved ice stand! :) There's an ABC store (like a 7-11 corner store) close by, there's a Foodland grocery store that has everything. You don't really need a car in Maui, but it's helpful. Laurie, the owner, was super friendly and very easy to communicate with! Lightning fast replies via email and on the phone. We really loved this unit and we would recommend it to anyone. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps get some smaller plates for the unit."Guest: Zinnia J.
