  • Hawaiian Gem! Comfort & Location!

"Could not have picked a better place! This is our 8th visit to Maui and this has been the best place ever! Basic clean comfortable condo that provides wonderful cooling island breezes! King size bed was comfy and nights are super quiet! The lanai view is of lush gardens with song birds and geckos! Laundromat and pool is close by. Kamaole Beach right across the street, great for swimming and snorkelling. Shopping and great restaurants a few steps away. The unit and location provides everything you will need. Parking is great too! Thanks very much to the owners Dave & Kim as they made the booking transaction very smooth. We hope to return. Mahalo!"

  • 3 unit house in quiet neighborhood

"We stayed in this Kihei rental during a slow season in Maui. Note: this house has ONE parking space in the driveway, no pool, and no beach access (nicer beaches are about 10-15 min away in Wailea, or elsewhere in Maui). The owner visited us daily, sometimes multiple times a day, which could be a bit much for some. The washer/dryer is shared between 3 units (upstairs unit, downstairs unit, and owner's unit), but we didn't find this to be an issue. The house has A/C in the bedrooms and main living space, which was great for a few hotter days. The bedroom A/C unit we used in Master turned itself off every few hours, so we got up every few hours all night to turn it back on if needed. Some nights we slept with the fan on. When we slept with the fan off, we got mosquito bites, but I never saw a mosquito in the daytime! The house was well stocked and very comfortable for cooking and eating in the kitchen with appliances (pressure cooker, slow cooker, blender, toaster, micro, etc.), spices, aluminum foil/plastic wrap and other things that are nice. Knives were dangerously dull even though we sharpened them when we arrived as best we could. Note: There is not a dining room table since the island is huge, and seats are counter-height only, so this could be an issue with younger children (no high chair noted). We used the outdoor grill, and there is an outdoor picnic table too. We used the small and large cooler when we went on treks to beaches 30-45 min away. The bedrooms are comfortable (bedside tables could use coasters..). We normally put our baby's packnplay in a bathroom at night, so he'll be in a quiet dark space. However, the master bathroom has no door between the bed and sink, and a pocket door between sink and shower/toilet room. With this layout, we just slept with baby in the bed. There are no blackout shades, so we taped aluminum foil over the windows (with time difference, baby slept 2 hours before sunset, and had trouble sleeping in a bright room during the day naps). The owner was very accomodating taking down noisy windchimes and limiting time that the outdoor lights were on to help baby sleep. Backyard was nice for enjoying, but wish there was a pool instead of a jacuzzi. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood several times with the baby stroller. Our favorite walk was through the nearby KOA property that has loads of flowers and nice walkways for a stroller in the shade. Located 15 min from the airport. Great!"

  • Perfect Spot

"Great location, comfortable place, all around excellent. It's a quick walk to anything you would need in Maui, including great food and beach time. The condo itself is well equipped for everything you might need. Location wise for the rest of the island you're pretty central to anything you might want to visit, and tons of local tours available. Host was always quick and extremely helpful when responding. Could not recommend more!"
