"Enjoyed our week at this updated and well maintained property. The unit has a beautiful view of the pool and across to the beach. It is in easy walking distance to the grocery store, Starbucks, restaurants and a Farmers Market that is open Wednesdays and Saturdays. We enjoyed getting a cup of coffee each morning and taking it to the water's edge where we could watch the surfers, and one morning, fishermen. This is a park-like area with a walking/biking path that leads back to the condo. We enjoyed several restaurants both away and nearby - particularly Café Carmen in the Technical Research Center near the golf course. For a very special treat, be sure to eat at 5 Palms. If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed."Guest: Carmen Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 5, 2014View listing
"I frequently use VRBO when I make travel plans. I too rely on reviews when making my choice(s). Renting the unit owned by Dave and Dixie was truly an outstanding experience. Having stayed at the Maui Banyan complex on at least five (5) prior occasions, I can tell you that their property is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. During this trip, I rented a second unit, not owned by Dave and Dixie, for my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. That unit was nice, but did not have the "first class" feel that Dave and Dixie's unit had. Finally, the interaction with Dave was outstanding. He was responsive, attentive, and informative."Guest: Paul and Donna Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed in this condo for 8 days in June. We also got married during this time, at Charley Young Beach, across the road. The condo is the second building from the road so there is very little noise from the road. The condo is well decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The AC unit is located off the balcony, which is at the opposite end of the bedroom. We kept the bedroom door open (it was just the two of us) to ensure that the cold air would reach the bedroom. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a stand-up fan that came in handy. Internet was fast and reliable. There is a concierge for the resort who could make various arrangements from surf lessons to massage appointments. We did not make use of the concierge service though. We did not use the pool or tennis courts but they looked clean and well maintained. We preferred the ocean. We used the BBQ on a couple of nights. The kitchen was well equipped. The dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer were very convenient. Booking of the condo went smoothly. We liked that there was no cleaning or resort fee, which many other resorts charge. Beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and umbrella made visits to the beach very comfortable. Overall, we would recommend this unit to friends and family. We particularly liked that the unit was tiled, with no carpet anywhere."Guest: Duyen L. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 24, 2014View listing
"This condo is a great little home away from home. My boyfriend and I stayed here on our first trip to Maui amd loved it. The biggest plus for me is that it is close to EVERYTHING. We walked to the park, the beach, lunch, dinner, etc. It also comes equipped with basically everything you need...cookware, beach towels, beach chairs,.boogie boards etc. It does get a little hot in the late afternoon but cools down at night so we didn't have any trouble sleeping. This ia definitely a great place to stay if you want a comfy home away from home within walking distance of tons of great places."Guest: Allison Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 20, 2014View listing
