  • Home Sweet Home Away from Home

"My husband and I, along with our 2 boys aged 12 and 10 stayed at Maui Vista at the beginning of July. We could not have asked a more adorable "Beach House". Don and Karen were lovely to communicate with while making our reservations work around certain dates and they even accommodated a late check out for us since we had a red eye flight home. Their condo is very well kept and clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you would ever need to prepare fabulous meals and their attention to detail in the condo is very noticeable. We loved having enough beach chairs and boogie boards for our whole family to use, and the beach right across the street was very family friendly. It was nice to have shops and restaurants within walking distance and it became a tradition each night to walk down for an ice cream to enjoy while watching the sunsets. As a family who needs to eat gluten free due to 3 of us having celiac disease we found it easy to find choices while eating out. Our two favorite restaurants in Kihei were Maui Brick Oven which is 100% GF and Sensai which is a Japanese restaurant with a sizable GF menu. The town of Lahaina had many restaurants with a large selection of gluten free options as well. The town of Kihei is located within easy access to exploring the island and we found it easy to get to all tourist locations. We would highly recommend this condo to our friends and family and hope to return to stay there again soon. Thanks Don and Karen!"

  • Fantastic Location

"Maui has lots of great beaches, but this one worked particularly well for the kids because of the gradual gradient into the water. We found it comparable to Polo Beach and Wailea Beach. For the small kids we felt it was safer than Big Beach and Napoli Beach. The sand was very clean and perfect for sand castles and it was never crowed in front of the condo. Frommers 2015 rated it as one of the three best beaches in Maui for families. The downside of this location is that it’s right on the main Kihei drag, which isn't my idea of a tropical paradise. But the resort provided a pleasant backdrop to the beach and separated it from the road. We walked Kamaole I, II and III and felt the complex had the best location on the three beaches and probably the best location in Kihei. The other great part of the beach was the snorkeling just to the right on the rocky area separating Kamole I and II. The first reef extending out from the shore was decent but the second one was even better with thousands of fish, anemones, etc. And we saw turtles there every day we snorkeled. The condo itself was nicely updated. The view was spectacular including from the dining and living rooms (no need to strain the neck), where you can also easily hear the waves because the ocean is so close. There is only a single elevator, but we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Parking was easy. The kitchen appliances are recent and the ice maker worked. The two bathrooms were both remodeled and we never ran out of hot water."

  • Ideal location with all the fun toys

"This was our first visit to Maui but won't our last. We chose Kihei bit chance and we were very happy to be there it's happening place but not too big, with easy access to a lot of fun stuff. Pam and Glen's condo was perfect for us. They also privide you with the beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, raquets all you need to behave like children! Pam made all of it easy. She is very quick to reply and everything was simple. No bad suprises. I would definitely rent this unit again, it was clean and practical. We didn't use the pool because we love the ocean and it's right there. There are plenty of restaurant to walk to if you don't have a car or don't want to use it. It is sound proof because we didn't hear anything from the neighbors, it was great. The complex is well kept and people are friendly."
