"Our first time in Maui... 2 senior couples. We each had plenty of privacy, were able to cook together either indoors in the kitchen or outdoors on the grill. LOVED the fresh air lanais and the location being close to everything we wanted to do. A wonderful vacation at the Maui Banyan and I just wish we could go back again soon."Guest: Carana Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: November 13, 2014View listing
"My husband and I, along with our 2 boys aged 12 and 10 stayed at Maui Vista at the beginning of July. We could not have asked a more adorable "Beach House". Don and Karen were lovely to communicate with while making our reservations work around certain dates and they even accommodated a late check out for us since we had a red eye flight home. Their condo is very well kept and clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you would ever need to prepare fabulous meals and their attention to detail in the condo is very noticeable. We loved having enough beach chairs and boogie boards for our whole family to use, and the beach right across the street was very family friendly. It was nice to have shops and restaurants within walking distance and it became a tradition each night to walk down for an ice cream to enjoy while watching the sunsets. As a family who needs to eat gluten free due to 3 of us having celiac disease we found it easy to find choices while eating out. Our two favorite restaurants in Kihei were Maui Brick Oven which is 100% GF and Sensai which is a Japanese restaurant with a sizable GF menu. The town of Lahaina had many restaurants with a large selection of gluten free options as well. The town of Kihei is located within easy access to exploring the island and we found it easy to get to all tourist locations. We would highly recommend this condo to our friends and family and hope to return to stay there again soon. Thanks Don and Karen!"Guest: Maui Memories with a Family of Four Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
"While our stay was very nice and this is condo is in a very ideal location, I did have issue's with the amount of noise from the road construction, late night party people from the bar across the street and the early morning bird that was very loud. The condo was mostly clean, but we did note that the floors were very dirty along with the floor out on the veranda. According to recent reviews the trade winds should have kept the place cool. What trade winds? it was extremely hot and the ceiling fans did not go up to highest setting. A simple portable A/C unit would have made our stay during the evening hours much more enjoyable. I really could not believe that the owner does not have one on hand. We did appreciate the location, close to every thing we wanted to do. The beach was very beautiful but the supplied snorkel gear is in very poor condition. Out of the 3 mask's one did not leak. Three sets of fins, the 2 adult fins were could not be used and the 3rd set was for a child. Plan on renting your own set. Finally we were invaded by small ants. Mostly just irritating, but nonetheless we really did not enjoy seeing them. Overall this is a very decent place to stay due to the location and price, but I would encourage the owners to do some simple upgrades such as A/C, new mattress's and ensure the floors are cleaned on a regular basis and this would then be a five stare location."Guest: Millertime Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 26, 2014View listing
