"I frequently use VRBO when I make travel plans. I too rely on reviews when making my choice(s). Renting the unit owned by Dave and Dixie was truly an outstanding experience. Having stayed at the Maui Banyan complex on at least five (5) prior occasions, I can tell you that their property is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. During this trip, I rented a second unit, not owned by Dave and Dixie, for my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. That unit was nice, but did not have the "first class" feel that Dave and Dixie's unit had. Finally, the interaction with Dave was outstanding. He was responsive, attentive, and informative."Guest: Paul and Donna Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
"We just loved this condo! It's clean, modern, nice and everything you could wish for. The kitchen is amazing with a big fridge and even a microwave. I loved the washer and the dryer in the bathroom, you get detergent at check-in, so no need to buy expensive stuff at the supermarket. There is a flat screen with DVD player and lots of DVDs provided and you can watch from the bed or the couch. But the best part of this condo is the lanai! A DREAM! I loved sitting out there and looking at the mountain or the water and palms. It's absolutely quiet on the 6th floor with an unobstructed view, so no one will disturb you or look into the condo. There is pool for a quick refreshment or the Kamaole Beach Park 2 just across the street. We always took the beach chairs and the sun umbrella over there to have a swim and get some tan. The condo is a few minutes away from the city center, but with a car (and I would definitely recommend it for Maui) it's absolutely close to everything! A restaurant recommendation: "Da Kitchen" is just a few steps away and offers real hawaiian cuisine. Try the Korean Chicken!! Suzi is absolutely sweet and easy to talk to! We will definitely stay here again! :))"Guest: Karen Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 24, 2014View listing
"Having now stayed in 3 VRBO condos in Hawaii, my wife and I were very pleased with this condo. I think it's very suitable for a couple or a small family on a middle-class budget. The rental company is professional and sends you all the info you need in a single email that is easily printed. The condo is walking distance to shops, a grocery store, and restaurants in Kihei and right across from the beach. Although the condo is on a busy street, it is "set back" enough that you don't hear traffic too much. It even has a porch with a view of the sunset. My only complaint is that the air conditioner is on the opposite side of the condo from the bedroom so my wife got hot while sleeping during the warmer days. But at least it has AC, right? The appliances are older but function. If you want fancy accommodations there are newer hotels and condos but of course you will pay more. This was very reasonable and we would try to stay here again if we come back to Kihei again. Mahalo!"Guest: SG Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 27, 2014View listing
